prosperity for Osun?

Wetin we no go hear from this yorubas.

Oh yes same Osun , is better than Abia, ilesa has gold, ife has oil palm, the state has quite a number of solid resources, and even when Abia was wallowing in poverty with staffs being owed 30 months salary, Osun made sure it paid atleast half salary every month to keep the staffs going so what are we talking about here again?

Check CBN Bank cash flow data Osun's finance is ok and better than ebonyi and abia, check IGR and GDP per capital, any index you want to check they are better.. they have industries, tertiary instituition, research centers and many more yt they are not noise makers like some chestbeaters ... sons and daughters of osun are shining bright like the Adeleke's Davido's , the fani kayoed, family and you are here hating

see how you fell into a tight corner and a trap, now get a calculator and Add up the revenue of the 6 SouthWestern States as you posted in the NBS data of 2016 and compare it to that of SouthEast and be honest with your own self and see the hypocrisy in rejecting 2020 analysis for that of 2016 which SouthWest still clearly out shines you

Now for the debt figure, we in SouthWest understand Debt is not a bad thing, infact its a tool for development, and Osun's GDP stands at $7.2 billion USD while the debt is at less than $500m USD a very good debt to GDP ratio

again bellow is the GDP table in Nigeria by states, do well to calculate SW GDP and see how many times it swallows SouthEast GDP yet we don't go about making noise

so if the statistic doesn't favour you stop the envious pull them down syndrome you are casting on states and region far better than yours

Na person wey no sabi those people go believe their oluwole tendencies, na so so fraud and deception dem sabi. They control the media in Nigeria for a reason, and all the narratives they have always pandered to, have been hinged on sheer lies and half-truths. They say the Igbos migrate to the SW and leave our "potopoto" region desolate, yet somehow the rate of real estate projects taking over the East are owned by whom? ghosts I guess, all the local manufacturing industries, businesses, firms etc and other economically viable concentrations in commercial nerves likes Awka, Nnewi, Aba, Onitsha are owned, operated and patronized by ghosts? I don't even think any SW town outside of Lagos beats Asaba where I come from on any index of urban planning. All the industries and companion located in places like Lagos, Ibadan and Ogun states are either owned by foreigners or other Nigerians especially Igbos (challenge them to list out all the top private companies in their states) you will find out that a good number aren't even owned by the indigenes.[b] But here in Delta stage which isn't even homogeneously an Igbo state, so many of the private sector companies are owned by Igbos. Needless to mention the SE where everything is 100% Igbo owned. How many major Yoruba owned companies(with the exception of Glo) are even operating on a large scale in the South South and North compared to the Igbos? The problem with those people is that they don't travel out- except of course when they run out of white collar jobs and run to the UK to clean toilets etc.

The bolded can only come from an illiterate, poverty-stricken region like SE.

My advice for you? Crawl back to that shallow den you crawled out from, and next time don't start what you can't finish, what you have no idea about.

But let me leave you with this little questions ;

Whats IMO known for?

What industries is dirty aba known for, apart from China repackaging fake, 6×6 shops tailors industries?

What Ebonyi known for, and where is abakaliki rice today?

What is the industry that is Enugu known for? grin

Let me see you show up here again and talk nonsense then I will show you pepper.
Which one of these 5 eastern states are you from, by the way, to start with? Let's see and dig Nah.
Nonsense!

Why not check their debts.

IGR means taxes. The more you tax people the higher your IGR.

Pre-corona, a Maruwa driver in Lagos is taxed about 1000k every day if you are lucky but in Aba, the last I am aware of is 150.

Be guided.

Keep killing your people with taxes and be shouting "most richest"

Don't be stupid.

What the data listed is IGR which is a fancy name for tax.

Why not get your calculator is that we can calculate the debts.

Your debt is 5x that of SE yet your region is relatively better than SE.

Remove Lagos, then compare your SW with SE and list all the areas you are significantly better than us.

Taxes reduce disposable income.

Disposable income affects Aggregate Demand which is vital for macro economic development.

Double Taxation might reduce disposable income

Without Taxes, government would not be able to run its affairs.

Osun tax to GDP ratio is even still small

Nigeria Have one of the lowest Tax to GDP ratio in the world, while Britain have one the highest.

Ogun: Sifting credible information
By Wale Osunbiyi writes-in from Kajola, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area. olawaleosunbiyi2016@gmail. | Feb 28, 2018 3:00 AM

Barely days after the Ogun State launched its brand of rice- Mitros Rice reports surfaced online claiming there was no rice farm or factory anywhere in the gateway State where the rice was being bagged while some reported that the government mounted sand bags with some rice bags as part of its pyramid.

Some reports even claimed that it was not available in any shop or selling point for customers to purchase.

The sources of those reports will need to understand that we are no longer in the days of the ‘Invasion from Mars’ where some news sources can just believe their reports can lead to panic and successfully deceive members of the public.

Dear valued readers, subscribe to the Daily Trust e-paper to continue enjoying our diet of authoritative news. Kindly subscribe here

Members of the public know better that they have the power to verify news reports in order to ascertain if they are true or not.

That is why it is imperative that sources of those reports visit the Eggua farm and others where the Mitros rice has been grown in the State.

Their reports have inspired me to buy the product as well as visit the Mitros Asero rice Mill where work has been on going under hygienic condition. At the Asero facility alone there are three rice mills. They also need to visit two major rice processing facilities at Asero in Abeokuta and Sawonjo in Iju LCDA. These are verifiable facts that cannot be hidden.

Although the state is in the process of selecting distributors for its brand of rice the product has been on sale at the Farmers Market in Asero and at the State’s Convenient Market known as Oja Irorun which holds at the Block D of the Government Secretariat, Oke-Mosan.

The state government has linked the report to various detractors who want to score cheap political points.

But this is not the first time some news sources have painted the State in such bad light. The recent false report about the relocation of the state’s School of Nursing from Ijebu Ode to Abeokuta is one of different examples. Instead of acknowledging the commendable effort of the government in getting the school accredited some online sources preferred to diffuse the online space with the false report. Again, it is a verifiable fact that the school is still located in Ijebu Ode and not Abeokuta.

Since the source of these reports are utilizing the weaknesses of the internet to achieve their parochial and vicious interests it is important for members of the audience to be more careful at jumping into hasty conclusions but rather take the bold step of confirming in various credible mediums.

Why do govt cut taxes during recession?

Because taxes reduce the amount of disposable income in the hands of individuals, hence aggregate demand.

Govts fight recession by increasing aggregate national demand. When AD increases, companies will produce more, more people will be employed, more wealth will circulate and poverty will be lower.

I am not here to educate you but to answer your question.

1. Govt tax people to generate money to run the government but this should be within the level it will not compromise existing standard of living. Lagos taxes maruwa over 1000k every day but Aba as of the last time I asked taxes N150. A keke rider in Aba is relatively better than a maruwa rider in Lagos. Do you know Lagos taxes people for just having a signpost, the SE doesn't.

2. Govt uses taxes as fiscal policy stabilization tool. To fight inflation and others

Like I said before, only fools believe that Osun GDP is bigger than Anambra's.

Osun that i know front and back is in the league of beloved Ebonyi
