Kenya is also expectant of KSh 106 billion in new flows from the World Bank development policy operations.

With all this mess, Kenyans who have the luxury of having electricity connected to their homes are facing Frequent power outages

We aren't using the same test method as Ghana..
so far you have only tested 21,000 samples, that shows you lack the capacity to do huge tests the few samples you have tested have given you more than 2500+ cases. That should really tell a lot, you might be suffering from covid and you don't know.,
On the other hand, Ghana has done almost 100,000 tests with your cases surpassing them. That should also tell alot.
Kenya on other side has done almost 30k, more that what you have done, but guess what, we only have 535 reported cases so far with less than 20deaths.
Who wins? grin

Everyone one including RSA is getting IMF and WB money need to deal with COVID - but we know Ghana was under IMF when everyone was healthy.

IMF exists for this kind of season and reason. But Ghana has made IMF their normal buddy.

except Ghana, didn't get it because of BOP issues

Neither will RSA get it because of BOP issues

Let me tell you what's next for Kenya

Because Kenya is already defaulting on domestic debts,
All the ratings agencies, Moody's S&P AND CO will downgrade Kenya probably into junk status

I just checked the data on the worldometers. Deaths / 1 million between Kenya and Nigeria are equal, equal to 0.5. The same to Ghana.
I was not talking about number of people who have died, going by that logic, we'll all lose it considering the number of deaths in U.S.A and the samples tested.

Thanks for sharing that., cases in nigeria is almost four to five times the number of cases in kenya,
That's not an issue,
Here comes the real deal.
You obtained more than 2500+ cases from 21,000 samples you tested, kenya on other side obtained 530+ from 25,800 cases tested.
Prevention measures and testing lab is what we look at in this context.

Anybody who goes to IMF has BOP issues. I know that is new word I taught you few days ago - but don't overuse it hobbit.

The rasion'detre of IMF is to deal with BOP issues - and Ghana has been on it nearly every year since it's independence.

rvp20182:
Two things. 1) Lack of economies of scale - kenya housing went informal since mid 90s - and 2) most property investors have to provide infrastructure too - build sewers, water and roads.

I think we can sort the first one by allowing pensions funds and gov to move back into housing - and deliver mass houses cheaply. We are working on that - affordable housing.

The second one is also happening. In about 6yrs - we have doubled our paved roads from around 11,000 to now 20,000kms. We are also massively investing in water, sanitation and electricity (one world fastest electrification). What is pending is just to get light rail or metros - at least in Nairobi and Mombasa.

So in the medium term - we might see property prices cooling down in the few areas of Nairobi - and increasing everywhere.

OK so now you are literally saying the opposite of what you stated originally

English comprehension is a problem

Let me repeat again for you.

So in the medium term - we might see property prices cooling down in the few areas of Nairobi - and increasing everywhere.

Again distinguish btw affordable housing for the poor (subsidized if need be) and the million-dollar world-class properties.

We want both. One is an investment - like Equities - mr Investment Analyst. The other is human rights issues - the right to shelter.

why do you think I've been talking about your huge indebtedness since last year began ?
or your low foreign exchange inflows because of your huge trade imbalance

IMF main purpose is to solve BOP issues but it is not their sole purpose
