I am at Parapet stage in my project. The Architect handling the site is suggesting I use Precast parapet because of cost. I want to know if there is any down side of using a precast parapet against the normal casting of parapet. I need more insight to make decision. Cost is not too much of an issue to me. Thanks

Maybe u got the word wrong.
Parapet is just a wall above roof level or uncovered by roof.

Precast parapet is the one casted on the floor and placed on the building while cast insitu is the one that is casted on the building with formwork.
Precast is cheaper than cast insitu.
