As at the time the league was suspended, Lingard has played 9 matches (plus 11 as a sub) with 5 shots on target and 0 goals while Bruno played just 5 matches but contributed 7 shots on target, 3 assists and 2 goals. It was on the basis that I nullified Lingard.

well, for the bolded, it might be true, cos when he was mostly subbed, he mostly scores goals. But his time predominantly at arsenal he was a sure sure starter. He was equally frustrating too

lol...I'm not talking about lingard sha. I'm talking about Bruno's inclusion. Same model if projected will have made Vardy looked like he would have scored 30 goals by now...but see?
So we can't use that at all to judge.
With the way James was scoring beginning of season, someone will think he'll at least reach double figures in EPL (at least 10-12 goals) , but he's still away. That's how deceiving the model can be. Football no be maths, so using mathematics to include Bruno into the team is pure sentiment.

Mane is also a notable mention but for me he slightly misses out in favor of Salah if we are looking at it statistically, except there is another criteria because these things are always inconsistent anyway.
