Levites are the ones appointed by God to be his priests. And that's what the pastors function as in the church.

I hope you know, the Levi tribe still exists in the present day Israel.....I wonder how many of this tithes they receive?

There is everything wrong with you bro, you are giving what belongs to GOD to your parents, its obvious you dont love your parents either.
Do an audit of your financial life, can you see you are always entering into one financial issue or the other ? It is simply because you are tithing wrong.
Tithing to GOD does not stop you from taking care of your parents. To get out of financial mess, you have to start tithing right and the only way to tithe right is to give GOD the first 10th of your income. That you are giving it to your pastor does not mean you are not giving it to GOD. it is none of your business what the church or pastor does with your tithe, yours is to obey and pay your tithe.

I don't call mine tithe because I am not bound by it as a christ-follower.

I give mine to myself, my family, my loved ones, and sometimes to people I don't know.

I have not experienced any financial mishap since I started earning money! My parents and siblings are my priority for now till I get married and have kids! My parents and siblings have suffered enough and it's time for them to reap the fruits of their labour! I spend alot every month giving to my parents, my siblings, my fiancee and any other genuine needy persons around me!! I love God and I'm convinced He's happy with me considering all the things he has done for me!! Please tell me how I don't love God by doing these things??

In Leviticus 27:30 God announced that tithe was his share of everything he had given unto you. It was to be seaprated and given to him through the Levites who were his appointed priest

The Levite were to offer a tenth of the same tithe as offering to God .


Today everyone redeemed by the blood of the lamb is redeemed a priest and a king and the primary duty of the priest is to offer sacrifice to God which includes our tithes which is used to advance God's kingdom here on earth .
