It's not biblical, and most importantly, they are embezzled by criminals parading as pastors. I have never paid tithe a single day in my life and have everything I could ever wish, because I WORK HARD. the bible said "prayer without work is dead" not prayer without tithe, that we should "work and pray" (not work and pay tithe).

Sorry brother but you don't desire an answer because it will be a repeat of virtually all I have written here concerning tithe on this very page .. go and look for them ... They answer your question .... But to add ..

Abraham paid tithe even without any prompting. Why did he pay and how did he know about tithing to have carried it out?

If tithe was not a continuous affairs Jesus would not have told the church leaders that they pay tithe even to the most mundane items in their lives ... Matt 23:23

You can't run away sir no matter how you try to turn it to a mud fight if truly you are a student of the bible. Don't direct me to things that are not specific, you will do justice to your belief if you can answer my questions as lined up.

Abraham did not pay tithe because a one-off offering is not qualified to be called a tithe according to Deuteronomy 14 (This is where the law of tithing came about), not even the time of Abraham nor Jacob.

Jesus told the Pharisees that they are doing eyeservice because they were not doing according to the law then, but that didn't mean Jesus was endorsing tithing for Christians because there was no Christianity then and Jesus never paid tithe nor his disciples.

When he died and ascended to heaven, his disciples and apostles that went about building churches never took tithe from anyone and was never recorded anywhere they took or paid tithe because their MASTER Jesus never taught them to but they did all other commands Jesus gave to them.

The 2 comments there are to answer your 2 comments.

I am waiting for your answers to my previous questions sir!

To begin with, the new testament abolished tithes. Now you give willingly and as you deem fit.

Second, why do feel feel obligated to pay tithes?
Is your church charity oriented?
If yes, you can continue to give however you feel necessary.
If not, you can direct your giving to the less privileged within your reach.

Pastors will tell you God doesn't recognise your giving outside the church but if you study your bible God recognised the gifts of the Centurion, as well the good deeds of Cornelius and Dorcas.
But most pastors won't tell you that because then that would reduce their income.

Show us where it is written in the new testament that tithe was abolished ... Just a single verse to support your statement

Ok..pls how do you explain when I pay all my dues(in tithes, offerings etc) to the church, the pastor uses the money to build a school, at the end I can not send my child to that same school because of its exabitant school fee that I can't afford?
If it was doing God work he will consider the poor that can't afford cost of regular education and by that regulates the government......but instead they are destroying the government system and still come to blaim the government....

The various opinions about tithe will continue to be argued from time to time. This is because God moves in a way that we don't fully understand.

If you have been paying and is not working for you, check yourself.
If you have been paying and it is working for you, check yourself too.

You are on a safer side if you pay but the reverse is the case if you do otherwise.

God moves in a mysterious ways, so pay your tithe for God to move mysteriously on your behalf.

Centurion built Synagogue.
Cornelius was a devouted man.. Acts 10: 2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
Dorcas was a giver

For you to state that Abraham didn't pay tithe is to tell the Bible that it is wrong in it records of Abraham encounter with Melchizedek. The Bible says he gave him tithe of all and this happened even before God made tithing a law . This means that for Abraham to have paid tithe and for God to have declared it a laws the people must have know about tithe for God didn't explain tithe to them ... He just made it a law ... You cannot have a law that is not understood otherwise such a law won't command obedience ... God just mentioned in his statement on tithe by declaring that tithing of all your blessing is now a must ... They didn't ask him what tithe meant ... They already were doing it at a personal level .

Tithe didn't come by God's law. It was already practiced by Abraham meaning he got to know of it. The Bible didn't call it any other name but tithe .. you cannot claim to know more than the Bible

Jesus never spoke about the law when he addressed the Pharisee and leaders of the church ... He already knew them as teachers of the law ...... He spoke to them in regards to the order acceptable to him and heaven ...undo the injustice in the land that is in your power to remedy and then pay your tithe ... Here s the portion .....

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

I did not add anything to it .... Without neglecting the former tells you that it was a continuous exercise ... If they paid once they would have done it long before Jesus was born into their midst . They weren't doing eye service but letting other affairs in their hands to suffer to focus on tithing .. Jesus wasn't responsible for the tithe collection so there is no eyes service involved when he has no share of it and he wasn't standing in front of any tithe collection box . It was a practice in the church ...Tithing is a continuous exercise as long as your mint is not a once and for all provision. As you get your mint you tithe

Jesus did not make tithe a command but he didn't abolish it nor denounced it by any of his statement on tithing ... As a matter of fact , heb 7:8 says that tithe are collected here on earth by men who will die but the records are with him that lives forever

I don't call mine tithe because I am not bound by it as a christ-follower.

I give me to myself, my family, my loved ones, and sometimes to people I don't know.

As for offerings, I give when I attend a physical church according to my conviction and the strength of my wallet.
Well said buddy!
Someone just reminded me that in this life, their's no formula towards it.. Just live right n let yuh conscience guide n judge you.

I pay tithe because I know that being alive is by the Grace of God. I don't mind if someone is eating the tithe or not, that one is between them and God. I'm glad that some people are helping me to give to the poor not minding my presence. I know my church and the kind of pastor I have. My Church has been doing wonderfully well in this hard time for the less-privilege people. Paying of a tithe is not voluntary. The journey of life is an individual effort and not a group affair.

Yes we do because ist most and mandatory, I service with Baptist Church and we divide ourselves area by area, we do it in houses in our area even other churches like Ecwa and the rest do same like we. After the service the chairman of those area will meet at the pastor's house with the church secretary, treasurer and the church auditor for collection.

There are many richest men and women in the world that doesn't pay tithe.

Many people buy this world to live. If all the richest men in the world can tell us what dey did in spiritual realm I'm sure you will all marvel. same thing with politicians in Nigeria, they have gone beyond ordinary.

they don't pay tithe but they pay a very huge sacrifice in spiritual realm to reach that stage they are.
