steveneche:my advice is take the 5 million and invest. Most financial successful people you see are investors. Here is a few things you must do before touching the money. 1. Know what you want to use the money for. What business 2. Study about the business. 3. Invest in a business you will be able to have influence on the success. 4. Learn the science of money. Read books and read book, listen to tapes and once again study how money works. 5. Read once again on leadership. You definitely be a Boss, you must know how to be a good leadership. It will break or make your new business. |

steveneche: It will take him more than 5years to make the 5million if he is to be collecting 100k salary sir. He will want to take care of some expenses out of the salary and so on. If he is wise, he should first ask for a week or two break to think on what to do (that's if he is not having any plan on what to do o) if he is to collect the 5million, he should do away with DUST BIN FRIENDS (I mean friends that can eat and drink anything, afterall no be dem mini). AND Let's assume he decides to be collecting the salary and after few months or like 2 years, he got laid off? He will surely regret not taking the 5million. BUT THE BALL IS IN HIS COURT, HE SHOULD KNOW THE BEST THING TO DO

Re: N5 Million Cash Or A 100k Job? Help Him Decide by samuelonyewueny(m): 9:49pm On May 10, 2020 |
collect the 5m. Reasons; 1. 5m now has more value now than in 4+ years (remember it would take him a minimum of 4 years to save the amount even if he doesn't touch it, which is very unlikely). 2. the company could fold or he could get fired, within the hypothetical reference time. So advise, take the money (job status notwithstanding) and invest part or all of it. someone who's wise enough will know that saving 5m from 300K a month job is not funny. 2 Likes |

Depends on various factors.. Was ur brother married with kids, was he the bread winner in ur family? If he was not married and he was not the bread winner of ur family.. Take the cash and become ur own man.. Buh if he was those things mentioned above i feel the job would be better because if u collect the money it's going to be a family meeting on how to share the money. 1 Like |

steveneche: Brother, two things are involved, if your Guy is a business minded person, with a mapped out business and a right councilling on a particular business, he should take the 5million and start a business and within 4 year he will get close to 20 million, ... But if he does not have a business Idea, and he is a white collar job type of person, .... Please and please, he should take a 100 thousand monthly job, it will help him on a long run..... Certainly he will not make the kind of profit that a business man will make. NOTE; in business, there is nothing like " let me try and see" if u don't have any interest in business or have a business idea/trade, DON'T go into it, ELSE you lose everything thing (5million) 1 Like |

Collect that money as quickly as possible. Has he thought of the company going into bankruptcy? Has he thought of retrenchment if things don't go well? Has he thought of other horrible things that could just happen out of the blues? Let him learn a valuable skill while the 4.5million is put as a fixed deposit. He could be getting 50k every month with his 4.5million being intact. |

Hmmm. 100k monthly when the job is not secured. Better take 5million naira and invest in something lucrative. No job security in a company wrk moreso the company can sack you at any time before you account for 1million from them. Be wise! 1 Like |

It's a 50/50 thing. Alot will depend on his kind of person and the nature of the company. If he is a business savvy person he will do well by collecting the 5 million a start a business with it. However, if he is not business savvy he can go for the job offer. 5 million naira is about salary of 4 years and 2 months if the salary remain constant at that amount. Chances are that he could have other allowances that can make him earn more than just the 100k. He could also be promoted even before that he gets to that 4 years. So the decision is solely his. |
