Faith, I am sorry to hear about this. Based on my little experience, Some people usually get this if they have already studied the subjects taught in their proposed program. The VO believes that it is not the right progression of study. My advice is to apply for the GCMS note first. Do not worry too much about this, I know someone that got this at first and later applied with a good SOP and got the visa. You’re one step ahead in getting your visa . Goodluck ! Faith243: 1 Like |

Those rejection reasons are generic. My advice to you is to request GCMS notes for your previous applications. You need to know the officers' concerns before you reapply. You would then focus your next application on addressing the VO's concerns. Also, you will definitely need a strong SOP to make your case. I'm not sure how to request a GCMS note from Nigeria but I'm sure people here would have answers for you regarding that. Rollyxxmv: 1 Like |

My Nigerian Brothers and Sisters, Just my one cent addition: My company have a Ph.D staff member who is from Africa, i was thinking he should be on six digits list but to my greatest amazement he is just 60k/year and not a management staff. 95% of Indians in Canada don't go for Masters program, they only obtain pgc/d and they're done. No HR Manager will offer you much money because you spent many years in the University reading degrees, don't forget to know that your future HR Manger at most are B.Sc holders. Study what you want but tomorrow don't blame any person when you can't secure a job because Canadian Employers are looking for hand on skill. Greeting from KW. Frankrobbn1: 2 Likes |

Hello Guys!! May God bless you all for the help you are rendering here. So I have questions, I am helping a someone with a study Application in Canada. However his brother is the one sponsoring his education, so he provided a company bank statement and private account statement for 6 months. But I figured in the company bank statement, a lump sum of money was paid into the account on the 2nd and 6th of may 6mil & 33mill respectively while his personal bank statement shows that a deposit of 4mil was made on the 4th may. So what do you guys advise regarding this banks statements? I will appreciate if I can get your feedbacks |

Frankrobbn1: Hian Frankrobbn. 4,000 never pay a big chunk of tuition? In this Buhari era someone will dash lawyer 4,000k. It’s better to get GCMS note o. And reapply. In my opinion. She can point out in her letter of explanation that she has never been to Canada and therefore there must be an error. Hope they were not visiting the error of her brother on her sha. 1 Like |

So house, I just got my rejection letter too. Today is the day for refusal it appears. I have immediate applied for my GCMS notes. This is what I did: 1. I googled apply for GCMS notes 2. Opened the link on CIC website. 3. My husband has a childhood friend who is a citizen in Canada. We called him and while he was on the phone we filled the form together. Information we needed: his name, status in Canada (according to the website even someone in Canada on visitors visa can apply for another person), his address, phone number and email. And evidence of the person’s status e.g pr card, visa or Canadian passport. Although this is said to be optional but if your contact is willing to give you it cannot harm if you add it. 4. There’s a consent form on CIC website (google consent form for GCMS). Fill it, sign it and attach to the GCMS application. The consent form must be already scanned because you cannot save this application for GCMS and come back to complete. It must be filled at once. 5. Pay 5 Canadian dollars with a credit card. I don’t know if Nigerian debit card will work but I guess your contact should be able to pay 5 dollars for you. Don’t know how long this will take sha but make we dey watch. 2 Likes |

Reasons for refusal were the same generic reasons: 1. Not convinced I will leave Canada based on current employment status. 2. Not convinced I have enough funds. Sponsor (close relative with same surname) is a business man. He has transferred the entire tuition and upkeep for the 1st year into my account since January. Supported with his business account with very healthy inflow and outflow of over 50m each month, and his personal account with over 40m balance. So I don’t know what other funds are required. |

Damn! Sorry for yours..looks like these replies are even generic because i can't understand why in my case, you'll okay something a reason first time and also refuse on it the second time. Meaning you're contradicting yourself..Nawa o these dudes seem to be on crack..Just sad Luckymama: |

Luckymama: Hi Luckymama, I know you are one of the experienced contributors on this platform. However, I want to lend you a second person insight. The financial aspect, remember that you are a mature applicant and you are married. I presuppose you attached your own SOA aside from the fund coming from your supposed sponsor? I also assumed you attached your personal or family asset details to substantiate that you are financially grounded in your home country. From the family perspective, I think your husband would have been the most suitable sponsor sponsor, but then, since he is not a sponsor, I believe you should provide evidence of his financial capability to be called upon in case you need more than budgeted. Look at it from the point of view that the VO is not fully convinced about the future intention of this third party sponsor- in that case, your husband will be the next to be accessed. Also, I have read a comment by Frank on this platform where the VO only considered the applicant sponsors SOA (a company SOA with huge money) and refused the application even thou the applicant includes the sponsors personal statement. I sincerely hope you get the gist 1 Like |

Frankrobbn1: Please don't start this, someone just got denied and you come up with this? How much do you know about this case that you are certain that throwing up $4,000 will win the case? Visa that cost less than $300 to apply and you want her to spend $4000 to appeal? 5 Likes |

mcobex: The bolded, bro you hit the nail on the head. However, IRCC needs to look thoroughly into the study visa process for International applicants. I know all countries have visa officers that make mistake but these Canadian Visa officers, the mistakes they make is on a whole new level. |

This particular case is really of interest to me. I’ve read so many comments on this thread regarding this case but none has mentioned and advised her to request for her CAIP/GCMS file. I think the first reason of denial is more than just what was wrote. It’s way complicated than that and only CAIP file can explain what was meant by that. Please get your CAIP file and let’s see it together. You will def get your TRV sooner. Faith243: |

$4000CAD to appeal visa? Might as well head to an European country where that $4000CAD can pay your full tuition or add it to what you have & start business. Anyway, it’s like you were joking so let me just pass by. Frankrobbn1: |
