at least George weah was recognized the world over and is actually doing something to improve his country's football fortunes.

Has Segun ever paid for the air transport of his teammates?

Has Segun ever paid for the jerseys of his teammates.

Paid for their feeding? Or hotel bills?

Weah did this as a player. He didn't just sit around and criticize his country's NFF or certain players unintelligently. He helped the best he could unlike uncle Segun.

Good day bro.

Stop dribbling, according to u, playing at the world cup, winning champions league e.t.c are the criteria for being a good player.

What about Giovanni Elber of Brazil?

Even our own Etim Esin?

Because of his attitude. That's understandable bit please don't ever compare cantons to odegbami. Ever.

The fact remains that he didn't play at the world cup, shikena

I'm not dribbling. You know my sentiments from the start. Segun contributes nothing to improving our football but whines and cries like a cosseted baby day in day out. He wouldn't do half as good a job as Keshi not to even talk of Rohr.

He should learn to keep silent on certain issues and respect himself particularly if he hasn't done anything as a coach.

Rohr has shown maturity to not engage carpentry analysts like Segun. Something most local coaches wouldn't do.

Rohr is one of the best coach we've ever had. Granted he has his flaws as do others but what he need is advise and constructive criticism not character defamation.

While I hope Rohr goes for some refresher courses, I feel that the man has done a good job considering where we were before his arrival. You people seem to forget so soon or are you just protecting Segun because he is a Nigerian? Why he is doing in the media is wrong.

Stop arguing blindly. My bone of contention with u is that u believe that for a player to be regarded as being good, he must have won the champions league or played at the world cup...Cantona never played at the world cup, so he is not a good player according to u

i so much agree with the bolded same way Keshi rightfully took bribe to take unknow players to the world cup.....

everyone know the Bull has his own issues but how about what was been said by Pinnick and the Bull ?

I want you to address the words pls

Show your proof or shut it up. I remember one Aaron Samuel, I was so angry that he got selected. I mean he played in China for goodness sakes. But well, the rest was history. The Big Boss just laughed us off and said he had monitored the boy for years. Then u have Sunday Mba......

Have u people ever thought that Keshi saw something in this people that even the best of scouts didn't? He wasn't always right but what gambler is? The man took big chances but we all know he gained good results.

Players like Ike Uche looked down on Keshi. They felt he wasn't good enough and so they lacked respect for even his tactics. He complained about this alot. This is something African coaches deal with. Keshi said f*ck those guys and he built his team with people he trusted. I 100000000% support his stance. Jose Mourinho is the same way and when the results are great we must all tip our hats.

If you actually needed a thread party, you would have backed out when I came forward with a female bank account details.

A persons perception is a reflection of the person. What your eyes see is what is inside of you.

BUT WHY

There is anger and deep seated BITTERNESS in your response. How could you come to such deductions.

I have nothing to say beyond get rid of the bitterness that you carry. Because nobody is carrying it with you but yourself.

After all the various informative as well as fun filled sometimes comedic interactions we have had here.

You have not CHANGED but remain the SAME. CHANGE is the antidote required to progress.

Bitterness and rancour is like cancer they don't do us any good indeed they end up destroying us.

I have no more to say but leave you with some quotes of wisdom. I could use Biblical but l don't know if you are a Christian and therefore that would be arrogantly presumptuous.

You still haven't answered my question.

We all know that Segun was only good enough for the local scene and couldn't even win AF champions league or even CAF player of the year. I wonder what his agenda is for downplaying Rohr. You self think am

He won the CAF Cup Winners cup and was nominated for the African Player of the year twice. And by the way when he played African players barely played in Europe. So it's very unfair to use that against him really. And also less qualifying slots were available to African countries at the world cup(I think about one or two). He's still one of Nigeria's greatest player and after so many years he's the second highest goal scorer for the national team. He might not be saying the right things but please Don't undermine his achievements

During Odegbami era,our football was largely concentrated on the local scene. European club football didn't gain much attention in Nigeria until the 1990s..Also back then, our league was more organized...A large chunk of our national team players if not all were playing in the local league...The same goes for the rest of Africa...

All this ur attack on Odegbami are unnecessary..the man remains a legend... Till today, some of those players who have played in the European league have yet to match his records in the national team.. That shows just how good he was! .

Attack the message not the messager

What are you saying?? How is Madjer Odegbami's mate? By the time Odegbami stopped playing for Nigeria, Madjer was still in Algeria.

If Odegbami emerged in the late 80s, he would have played in Europe easily.

You can disagree with his views without dragging him down.
I agree 100% with your post. Odegbami is mistaken with some of his recent comments regarding coach Rohr but that's no reason he should be insulted. He has contributed in his own small way to football and sports development in Nigeria. For instance many of us may not know he single-handedly sponsored chioma ajunwa for overseas training before the 96 Olympics. The man might have his imperfections but I have no doubt that he is a patriot.

The thing is, Iwobi does not have the mindset of a professional footballer, he doesn't train, he has a poor cardio, he is more interested in being a celebrity than being a footballer

Carlo Ancelotti prefers a 4-4-2 formation and I'm struggling to see where he would fit in the new Everton side

Wetin be this? Do you live with him or what? People that don't train don't last this long, they get fat and get injured several times. E.g them Adriano.

lemme remind
Salisu Yusuf the head coach of Nigeria collect the sum of 5million naira per month
N.B he is not paying any assistant
5million naira is his take home salary yet he was caught on camera collecting bribe
2 late coach Stephen keshi was paid 5 million monthly yet there are bunches of accusation leveled against him

gernot rohr took Nigeria to world and Africa cup of nations at the time
can Stephen qualify from group stage with teams like zambia cameroun and algeria
remember in the last Africa cup of nation qualifier it was Congo that deafeated Nigeria
this man has tried and it unfair for someone to wake up one day and undermine what he has done

Oh! So you think Keshi's achievements were fluke? You are oblivious of how he was frustrated during his tenure that made us unable to qualify for the following nation's cup.

You're mentioning 5 million Naira as if it's a big amount, why can't the NFF pay a local coach $50,000, let's see how they'd perform?

Keshi wasn't perfect, he had his faults, I was against his selections too, but that man equaled Westerhoff's record, something Rohr is yet to do.

And till today, he's to take bulk of the blame for our loss against Argentina at the last WC.

You're the shallow-minded one. Oga, if odegbami was really good, European scouts for look him side. He was only good enough for Naija league.

Okay, why didn't his generation qualify for a single WC tournament. I see that you stylishly avoided this. He couldn't qualify for a single WC yet his generation is quick to play down the hard work of Rohr and his boys

Look, Mr Man, I'm all for constructive criticism but not downright hatred and malign of character. This is what Segun is doing.

See who I'm talking football with for Christ sake.

How many spots were given to African teams back then?

This is a classy representation of mental slavery. Everything Western has got to be better, ours only qualifies to be mediocre.Do you have any idea how much the local league was appreciated then?

Odegbami played as a winger and he still holds the second highest goal scorer of all time in the NT. Scored 2 goals in the 1980 nation's cup final to hand is our first title and you are underating the man?

If he's overhyped, reel out names of his contemporaries who made it to Europe and never got the hype Segun has been getting.
