Don't you think this has a lot to do with society constantly telling women that good wives have to always pray for their husbands and their families while putting no such pressure on men.

You've said it yourself countless times that people are a product of how they raised amongst other things. And the reality is that most Nigerian girls today are taught these values from a young age. They're taught these things implicitly and explicitly and the ones who mange to break free from these shackles are refered to as 'not normal' or 'not average' by a lot of men here. My point is that it's not fair to place such generalizations on women when they're constantly getting the short end of the stick. We can't conclusively tell if women are actually like that or they're made by society to be like that- I'll vote for the later though.

Some people think they're smart until someone smarter comes into the picture, you have done well

As a woman is it proper to hand over a house you built while you were single or house which you inherited from your parents to your husband?

I have heard cases of some men who expected women to change the name on the title documents of such properties.

Is this right? Is this logical?

How did you go from N27.9 million in year 1 to N46.9 million in year 2, are you a ritualist ? grin

What percentage are you using in the growth period of years?

If you check the right hand corner you will see the interest for the year and what should be reinvested. The total for the year that you are quoting is my interest plus the incomes for the year and the previous capital and not TB interest only.

No, it's not right, if it happens he might have used Jazz on her. It's not normal to change ownership of your property to a spouse unless one has been brain washed. If she has kids it's even a worse decision. I feel such men actually use things on such women. However, if both are married and acquire such properties together then both of their names should be in the title documents or shared as agreed

They still maintain the interest payment but I don't know if it's still 6.2% per annum cause it's not all the month I keep to the 100k minimum balance. I move all fund to MMF

The rate has now drop to 4.55% per annum just coming from the Bank . the Customer Care said the rate at the bank website has not reflect the current rate they are offering

John for sure

Peter needs a life insurance policy, if he dies today the standard of living of his family will drastically nosedive in less than 2 years.

If John dies today his family will still maintain the same or better standard of living.

Reason why investment income is very important.

Also important to invest part of our active income eg salaries, commission etc into investments so as to earn investment income

Read, understand and digest what I wrote.

" It is NOT illegal for women to owns properties and Investments".

" I always encourage my sisters to own their personal investments and assets".

" Men should have their personal assets and Investments, women should have their personal assets and Investments, and should also have joint assets and Investments".

Do you believe I still stick to TB even at 3.7%, my last investment last month. Do you believe I surpassed my 2020 target since February. Like I always say, I don't need too much money but enough to fend with while preserving my capital. The higher your capital, which is a function of your long investment, the more your interest despite low rate. This season, am still very ok as long as I surpass my targets. We are here to encourage others as I was encouraged. So those thinking they have small amount, the price is for you to start especially if you have steady salary, in few years, you wouldn't feel it as your capital must have trippled.

Bro, I don't think buying TB is still worth it. Unless your reason is not for good profit.

Maybe you prefer the upfront payment.

Am saving my capital and uses the upfront to cater for my family. At low rate with huge capital, you can comfortably pay fees and maintain house and drink beer, its still enough. I have out grown my salary, i don't touch my salary. I run with the interest.

A lot of women are clearly beclouded by emotions.

The response of a few ladies to Pa emanuelewumi's question has shown this fact.

A lot are always defensive when it comes to questions that pertains to men and women. I can call this a "Nigerian factor"

Ladies that have been privilege to stay abroad actually have a different and better perspective, because by default oyibo mentality about women encourages female empowerment and financial independence.

If any woman wants to go into joint ownership of property , she should be able to follow up in all angles and protect her interest both in legal and family wise . If possible work hard and invest on your own as most men nowadays are looking for soft landing in relationship with opposite sex . I’m a victim , lost a property in ogudu bought 2012 cost then 12m naira for full plot , I didn’t follow up as I was believing my ex is protecting my interest . Later I found out he only used his name to secure the property even though I contributed 60% of the value. Now am wiser and better .#Women beware#

Fortunately, I still do everything I should be doing. My wife is supportive, I still run my educational foundation. I still support the less privileged, was able to send palliative to my village this season. They is nothing I wish God should help me achieve that I don't achieve yet I meet up my target before may every year. I don't pay tithe.

FEC meeting causing pandemonium in the fx market as we speak, but the degree of impact of the pandemonium seem to be almost insignificant as we just have 5 naira losses across segments.
I envisage a further drop after the meeting though, even though the fx market is unpredictable and one can hardly ever be right with these things.
Who knows what's going on?
Currency people make we discuss

Sorry about your loss, very important for us to invest on our financial education. Not blaming our pastors, but some women push the submission talk to an extreme level that they can't think for themselves.

A lady saved money from her catering business and wanted to buy a plot of land so that the family can build a house of their and stop paying rent. The husband discouraged her and used the money to buy a family car.

Four years after when she saved another substantial fund, I personally assisted her to buy a land at Otta in her children's names in order to avoid the husband's trouble. The house is now completed and that is where the family now moved to, when the husband was retired.
The husband is a friend to my younger brothers

Forward thinking women need, forward thinking men.

Women who are against my advice that they should have assets and Investments in their names are those who can't create wealth by themselves, either they don't have the skills, knowledge, experience and capacity to do such
