emmanuelewumi: No, it's not right, if it happens he might have used Jazz on her. It's not normal to change ownership of your property to a spouse unless one has been brain washed. If she has kids it's even a worse decision. I feel such men actually use things on such women. However, if both are married and acquire such properties together then both of their names should be in the title documents or shared as agreed 2 Likes 1 Share |

travelland: Peter needs a life insurance policy, if he dies today the standard of living of his family will drastically nosedive in less than 2 years. If John dies today his family will still maintain the same or better standard of living. Reason why investment income is very important. Also important to invest part of our active income eg salaries, commission etc into investments so as to earn investment income 20 Likes 2 Shares |

travelland: Read, understand and digest what I wrote. " It is NOT illegal for women to owns properties and Investments". " I always encourage my sisters to own their personal investments and assets". " Men should have their personal assets and Investments, women should have their personal assets and Investments, and should also have joint assets and Investments". 11 Likes |

Ugmama: Am saving my capital and uses the upfront to cater for my family. At low rate with huge capital, you can comfortably pay fees and maintain house and drink beer, its still enough. I have out grown my salary, i don't touch my salary. I run with the interest. 12 Likes |

A lot of women are clearly beclouded by emotions. The response of a few ladies to Pa emanuelewumi's question has shown this fact. A lot are always defensive when it comes to questions that pertains to men and women. I can call this a "Nigerian factor" Ladies that have been privilege to stay abroad actually have a different and better perspective, because by default oyibo mentality about women encourages female empowerment and financial independence. 14 Likes |

If any woman wants to go into joint ownership of property , she should be able to follow up in all angles and protect her interest both in legal and family wise . If possible work hard and invest on your own as most men nowadays are looking for soft landing in relationship with opposite sex . I’m a victim , lost a property in ogudu bought 2012 cost then 12m naira for full plot , I didn’t follow up as I was believing my ex is protecting my interest . Later I found out he only used his name to secure the property even though I contributed 60% of the value. Now am wiser and better .#Women beware# missjekyll: 7 Likes |

Fortunately, I still do everything I should be doing. My wife is supportive, I still run my educational foundation. I still support the less privileged, was able to send palliative to my village this season. They is nothing I wish God should help me achieve that I don't achieve yet I meet up my target before may every year. I don't pay tithe. 11 Likes |

FEC meeting causing pandemonium in the fx market as we speak, but the degree of impact of the pandemonium seem to be almost insignificant as we just have 5 naira losses across segments. I envisage a further drop after the meeting though, even though the fx market is unpredictable and one can hardly ever be right with these things. Who knows what's going on? Currency people make we discuss |

Enyinne: Sorry about your loss, very important for us to invest on our financial education. Not blaming our pastors, but some women push the submission talk to an extreme level that they can't think for themselves. A lady saved money from her catering business and wanted to buy a plot of land so that the family can build a house of their and stop paying rent. The husband discouraged her and used the money to buy a family car. Four years after when she saved another substantial fund, I personally assisted her to buy a land at Otta in her children's names in order to avoid the husband's trouble. The house is now completed and that is where the family now moved to, when the husband was retired. The husband is a friend to my younger brothers Forward thinking women need, forward thinking men. 19 Likes |

Women who are against my advice that they should have assets and Investments in their names are those who can't create wealth by themselves, either they don't have the skills, knowledge, experience and capacity to do such 17 Likes |
