[sup][/sup] solonnachi: In my opinion corruption will continue to thrive in Nigeria until the majority begin to abhor it which includes naming anyone with even a slight connection to it, dead or alive. Like the great seer Fela once sang, "my people too dey, we fear for the things we no see etc" corruption would thrive. It's unfortunate that whistleblowers are the ones afraid and being shamed when it should be the other way around. I won't mince words, did I catch Keshi taking bribe, no, dId he achieve a lot as a player and a coach, yes, do I think he took bribes, yes I think so cos he had too many questionable call-ups during his time. Siasia and Oliseh were also guilty of the "my boys" syndrome, calling up and fielding players with no business in the SE. Amodu, I can't recall him giving anyone unwarranted invites, same goes for Eguavoen who if memory serves me right fielded the best players we had during their reigns. |

seankafor: I'm even wondering why he didn't make mention of it in 2014... All this accusations without mentioning the people involved won't help anybody . Nigeria may be corrupt, but in this age of social media, the people know how to put pressure on the government and relevant authorities to act when the need arises.. Take for instance the BBC documentaries "sex for grades" and "sweet sweet codine". We saw what happened to the people involved in the shaddy deals in the documentaries.. Look at Anas and his tiger eye media in Ghana...They fearlessly exposed corruption at many level in the country.. If Obasi and the rest can't mention the people involved, they are just waiting everybody's time...it won't solve anything... 2 Likes |

Some of these players have actually paid their way into the team so it’s a very touch subject for them. But most of the blame go to the coaches for making it possible. You guys should stop castigating players who speak out unless you are happy with the culture. Na dem get their mouth whether they mention name or not. Stop the attack. 1 Like |
