Rather than lampooning every president who is inaugurated, if you were the president of the federation, how'd you make the country what you castigate against? Let's discuss. 51 Likes 2 Shares

Well, the first step will be to reduce the number of law Those guys are practically doing nothing to earn the billions they are being paid. I will also champion massive sensitisation and re-orientation. Virtues like truth, honesty and contentment must be inculcated in the lives of the upcoming generations because this present generation is a lost cause. 294 Likes 34 Shares |

1) bring all polithieves in front of the fire squad and kill them publicly 2) vote a new law that will give automatic death penalty to polithieves, ritualist, kidnappers, rapist, armed robber etc 3) review all past shaddy deals with foreign companies that have their hands deep in Nigeria's pocket... 146 Likes 14 Shares |

MrBrownJay1: Very good, Mr Brown, but the powers that be, the real puppet masters that have ruled this country since 1960 will make your presidency a short one. This country is designed the way it is for the few at the top to loot dry. 64 Likes 6 Shares |

MelaninSkinGirl: very true, thats why you have to make new laws that gets rid of these viruses.... teach people to go to the streets and make their leaders accountable (even you) on any of these issues. any polithief who siphon money should be removed jejely or BY FORCE before his appointment with the firing squad! 30 Likes 1 Share |

MelaninSkinGirl: sadly, thats exactly how Nigerians are therefore its usually that type of people that gets into power... a very selfish person who only cares about his own pockets (and that of his mafia compadres). i hope someday Nigerians will rise up like the Egyptians did a few years back....and say NO MORE! 16 Likes 2 Shares |

MrBrownJay1: I agree with you but unless Nigerians including you and I are ready to die for this country, nothing will change. We cannot expect change to happen by ranting on Nairaland. The Egyptians took to the streets to protest during the Arab Spring. I am not sure if Egypt is a better country now as many Egyptians say things were better before the Arab Spring. Similar to how Nigerians are now saying life was better under Abacha's Regime compared to subsequent regimes afterwards. 15 Likes |

MelaninSkinGirl: sadly, i am not ready to put my life on the line for any country (rise up yes, die nope!)... and rising up is the 1st step, but then afterwards you have to put a better gov in place and remove all the underground foreign interference that have their hands deep in the country's pockets. you cant compare abacha's gov with Buhari, they both are useless to common Nigerians... Nigerians are still suffering with lack of electricity, bad roads, bad economy, polithieving and foreign gov in cahoot with these puppet leaders. with the price of petrol on a free fall since 2014, no wonder the Nigerian economy is affected, and thats not entirely Buhari's fault. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Security - Decentralise the Police, given the constitution makes provision for that. Establish a zero-tolerance policy in the Police Force and the Military. This approach is a strategy to eradicate the abuse of power by law enforcement on citizens. Push a bill that allows for a jury of citizens to serve as the balanced check that needed to keep the force accountable. This will reinforce the idea of a government by people in the our democracy. Nysc - Mandatory 1 year military reserve service for all citizens. Eligible for enrollment by the age of 18 and must be completed by age 35. Citizen database - for identification Infrastructure - Leverage the service of the enlisted Nysc members in a Govenrment driven accelerated infrastructural development, obviously cooperation with experts. we'll create 3000 miles of roads and 1500 miles of rail line respectively every year. Increased infrastructural capacity will positively impact investments in logistics and transportation and industrilization. I'll further deconstruct power distribution, will allow distributors to compete for customers without location restriction. Education enormous investment in Public schools starting from Elementary all the way up to the University. We'll rennovate our schools, provide adequate supplies for the classrooms, build Federal public Libraries in every capital city. Open up Federal Universities for international research purposes, sponsor research in Medicines, Science and Technology Incentivize computer and information technology/science/engineering studies all across the country. Tourism, allow ease of access for innovative ideas from local start-ups, international brands to launch their businesses. this will be another avenue for job creation creation through small businesses, and possible investment opportunities. And finally use my execute powers to push for a decentralized federal government, and more independent states, a change to the constitution that will define clearly the rights of persons and institutions and firmly uphold those rights with the necessary checks and balance in place. 114 Likes 10 Shares |

I'll stop investing the meager resources on railway and roads and just focus on industries, railways and roads can come later when we have increased our generated revenues. Agricultural processing industries in the north powered partially by solar power. There'll be an industrial zone near all the power generating stations, Kainji, shiroro, egbin etc, so that any excess or rejected power generated can be channeled and stored to service the industrial zone. There'll be an industrial zone near all the functional refineries and gas plants like dangote refinery and NLNG Bonny, for direct supply of diesel and gas to generate power to these industrial zones. TSA must be fully enforced..., Cut down fuel subsidies, dollar subsidies, pilgrimage subsidies etc..., Zero based budgeting..., Reduce defense budget to increase education budget. Upgrade the curriculum and facilities of all federal polytechnics, technical colleges, university of technologies etc, and support all private science and technology initiatives and inventions. Introduce and enforce one expatriate to five Nigerian workers policy. And many more. 41 Likes 3 Shares |

If i were president, I would target one region and punish them severely for voting the opposition. Then, I would turn around and say that I'm a reformed democrat and Nigerians should disregard those calling for the dissolution of the country due to marginalization by me. At least I won't be like the spendthrift that continues to borrow and pile up unsustainable debt on Nigeria. 9 Likes |

MrBrownJay1: Sadly that is why Nigeria will remain like this or get worse. Even these Western Countries had to fight for the freedom and liberties they enjoy today, freedom did not just land on their laps, they still have corrupt leaders but there is much more accountability and their citizens don't end up dead or in jail for speaking up. 8 Likes |

1. I will make sure we have robust national Data base for every citizen to be captured. I will do this in order to enhance security architecture of the nation, so that when a crime is committed by individual or group of people, only their finger print will fixed them out. 2. The main hindrance to our national development is just that the country was designed to fail from inception. So restructuring is a sure bet for me. I will make sure that each state have control over their resources while few of what they make will be remitted to the coffer of the central government. 3. Our constitution have a lot of loop holes that give room to corruption. I will make sure the constitution is overhauled. Nigeria as a country will have a new constitution where their will be law that prescribed a severe punishement for law breakers, corrupt politicians and judges. 4. I will improve the education sector and health sector. 34 Likes 4 Shares |
