olujaidi:The bolded is not correct. Lack of money is in levels. Someone might have a good paying job here but it still can't afford him what a person in that social strata should have. Eg a homebase engineer here might feel tokunbo vehicles are too old for him to drive, wants a brand new. Can hos salary afford him that? So in his mind, the chest thing to do is migrate. So you see,it all boils down to money. All that quality of life talk is just an alibi they create to make people feel they aren't migrating for money issues whereas they are. If that quality of life thing was true, that you can just wake up one morning and die because you are in Nigeria, then a lot of rich Nigerians would have been running their businesses from overseas. After all they can afford the living expenses and the technology is there to mitigate the effect of their absence. 8 Likes |

olujaidi: Different strokes for different people. The fish farmer shared his opinion, which he is entitled to and might be different from the opinion of another person. He is right in his opinion, the other person who does not share his opinion is equally right. That is why we are all wonderfully and differently made 4 Likes |

GonFreecss1:You really have sense. Same situation is playing all over again in their face but they keep asking funny questions. Tomorrow they start calculating the value their cash investment has lost. People having "hope" in a country that the leaders driving the country has completely lost hope in. How does one explain why government would be declaring asset in USD and pounds? People like ganduje receiving bribe in USD? People like Atiku and other politicians sharing USD during campaign etc? These clearly shows these people don't believe so much in our Naira. They keep huge part of their funds in USD. 5 Likes

emmanuelewumi: Speculators who do follow, follow will always get burnt. The best time to buy is before official devaluation. Anyone who is buying dollars now at N450 is taking uncalculated risk. With about 15% in devaluation at the official rate, the chance of further adjustment is remote. What will likely play out is a wide fluctuation in spread between the official and the parallel market rate until CBN is able to accumulate more dollars to meet our fx needs. There are reports that fpi who want to repatriate the proceeds of their investment are trapped with CBN telling them to wait. That is not good enough for the country. 1 Like |

ahiboilandgas:You know when they lay them off at work with nowhere to go to for another employment and no business skills, they start coming up with all sorts of excuses on how Nigeria is meant to kill them. Like say no be here them born them Na maiguard be the quality of life they keep talking about I suppose The highest you can ever be for there na nurse, that is if you travel at old age.So tell me,is that worth leaving a successful career for? Mercy Johnson have like 6 kids all born in the US,why didn't she relocate there na,since she too want to give her kids quality of life. All those things are poverty talking through frustrated people,no offense. If tomato selling stops giving me food today,I will also come up with my own story too na so that they won't see me as failure. 1 Like |

ahiboilandgas: If she is not a full staff after 8 years in first bank then it's 100% her fault and not of the bank. The FBN conversion process from contract to core staff is one of the easiest in the industry. There's a yearly conversion exam that she has to write and pass. The bank has also given them the grace of writing three times. If she writes the first time and fails, writes the second and third time and still failed, then she only has herself to blame. Many others are writing and passing the same exam. 3 Likes |
