You didn't know about the asked question before making that enquiry? Get yourself premium tempered glass or at least, those with black borderlines.

Don't tempt the Corning gorilla glass o.

Bros i use my R7 without tampered glass. Fone will be a year in June. Nothing has happened to it. Using all those tampered glass or case does not make u enjoy ur fone. Why hide the beauty in the first place.

good morning fam. I am facing the temptation to remove/discard my screen guard, because it reduces the beauty and clarity of the phone screen. I am only considering this because my phone uses the Corning gorilla glass 5 (Redmi 7) but I really need first hand experience from guys who have been using their device without screen guard, is the Corning gorilla glass as hard as they advertise? is it really scratch resistant?
please advise, to prevent the adventure from ending in tears.

I have been using my R7 for close to a year without tampered glass. Nothing has happened and fone has even fallen several times. I totally agree with u on the tampered glass hiding the beauty and sleek feel of the screen. Just dont be careless with ur fone without the tampered glass. In my opinion, the tampered glass does not protect shit. The screen can still crack even if u put 1000D tampered glass on it. Those tampered glass are scam.

I am using a Nilkin TG and it is going to two years now. And my phone have fallen severally. You are judging all TG by using roadside or generic TG as a generalisation.

Try ur fone without tampered glass, nothing will happen to it. Even if it had fallen, it would still not have cracked. The tampered glass does not protect anything. If its going to crack, it will crack with or without tampered glass

When i first got my R7, i was using it in the bathroom because the fone still dey shack me. I ended up putting it on the window sill when i wanted to shower. After my shower, as i tried to get my fone, it fell crashing to the hard tiles. I was 100% sure the screen must have cracked but to my utmost surprise, nothing happened to it.
Another time was when i was trying to steal meat from wify's pot at night using the light on my fone grin The whole pot of soup almost fell. In the process of trying to protect the pot, my fone crashed to the ground. My heart was racing when i picked it up but to my surprise again, nothing happened to the screen. I ate 5 pieces of meat that night to calm my racing heart grin

With or without tampered glass, the screen can crack if the fall or force is hard enough to crack it.

Allow your phone to hit the edges on the floor and come back and tell me nothing will happen. Glass have a weak point and it is in those edges.

Also make sure there is no TPU on it as we let me test something.

The day my fone fell from the window in the bathroom, it hit the tiles with the edge and the fone even bounced. The edge of my fone is slightly dented where the screen is attached to the edge. That was the day i knew the fone screen was strong. It happened about two weeks after getting the fone. I was not using the TPU case at the time. I hope u can imagine how high bathroom windows are. That should give u an idea the height it fell from to the tiles.

I am someone that hates using case on fone even right from infinix days. After few days i usually stop using the case. It makes my fone ugly to touch. I like to feel and see the beauty of my fone. Afterall i bought the fone to enjoy it and not hide it.

Yeah. U can try Nillkin tempered glass if ur phone has flat screen.. I'm not a fan of tempered glass on phone with curve edge.

Not at all. But it would be senseless to put it in a pocket where u also keep ur keys or to put the fone on a table with the screen facing downwards. Also i dont give people my fone to handle.

Lol, madgoat that time, hope you're considering infinix note7? grin grin grin
The only reason I'm using casing with it is the cover which is prone to hand staining not to talk of scratch.
Come to think of it, its price is still fairly constant in the last 8months, no drop in price

Abi oh. I always wonder why people are so fearful.
The point is to be careful with the fone. A fone should not be used roughly in the first place.

you are right. I tested the durability of the screen guard I thought was protecting my phone but alas it breaks like biscuits... best is to try as much as possible to avoid the phone falling to the ground. about the meats, hope madam didn't scold the kids?

Lol. Why would I bet on a speculation? I hope they will though. The 5G Snapdragon SoCs are overpriced. I don't know why Qualcomm is charging a premium for 5G connectivity.

At my place of work people are now using Xiaomi because of me. It has everything you will every want in a fone for less money. Is it the strong battery, durability, processor or fone beauty. Fone is an all rounder. Glad i am part of the Xiaomi family.
