Such is life. In life, the more we gain, the more we lose. Just pray to the creator to make your gain give huge gap to your lose. What I am trying to say is that we have lost ndi Ikwerre. Those people are one of us, but if you ask some part of them, they will tell you that they are one of us, but they don't want to identify with us because they won't gain anything from the F.G, with the Igbo label. People who desert you during your days of misery shouldn't be taken back. They reject us their blood because they think we are losers. Because of them those who don't wish well for us, label us "attache by force". Not all criminals who answer our names have stepped feet in our southeast, but if they are caught, it will read "Igbo man caught" Some of them voice it that they are one of us. But since majority carries the vote, those ones are on their own. Some of them strongly believe they are Bini. Some of them reject us because of hatred they have for us. Let us behave like people who lost their brother. We should forget about them and chanel our energy in uniting with our other brothers in Edo(igbanke), Delta(north), Kogi(villages), Benue(villages), Etche Omuma, Oyigbo, Ndoni, Ogba, Egbema(rivers state). By uniting, I mean in a Matured and diplomatic way, through Ohanneze. Not by nairaland, facebook, twitter freestylers who make things worse. May the creator remember us soon and make Biafra possible. The uniting can't take place in the midst of wicked, corrupt, visionless politicians. It is like killing the fowl that lays Golden Egg for them. Lastly, stay healthy and avoid name soiling work that bring shame to our tribe, and never lose hope; they creator won't forsake us. Amen. |

YakubuAugust: I was born in 1999. Many years ago, I found a book in my father's library that was about people who deny us. So I browsed it with my button phone. Not: there were few touch screen phones those days Google kept on referring me to nairaland where there was serious argument about Igboness, and develop interest in nairaland. Initially I supported those who argued that the deniers are one of us, now I think we should forget about them. |

You could argue the only reason they are considered languages and not dialects is because they are separate states. chrisxxx: |
Re: Ikwerre, Igbo And The Igboid Language Family. by bigfrancis21: 1:40pm On Jul 06, 2020 |
chrisxxx: Both languages are two separate or standalone languages of each other. From writing to pronunciation, they are different but they have a common origin - Latin. They are not dialects of each other but separate languages of their own. A Spanish person will never understand French, spoken or written, no matter how simple the spoken French is and vice versa. An Italian person will also not understand Portuguese and vice versa. 1 Like |

That is incorrect. The average Spanish speaker will understand 75% of Portuguese They are largely mutually intelligible. They are different languages primarily because they are two different nations. bigfrancis21: |
