So am I still eligible to receive the dividend or I can’t? Thank you.

Hope you reside in Lagos because you will need to send the signed hard copy of the form to them? According to both Morgan capital and Meristem, CSCS no longer accepts scanned soft copies of the transfer form even in this era of technology!

If you reside outside Lagos, it is better you sign at least 20 copies of the transfer form and post it to your stockbroker for this outstanding dividend and for future ones especially for a different registrar to avoid another cycle of future disappointment due to transfer forms issues.

Yes I reside in Lagos, do you mean I’ll submit it at the stockbroker’s office or to Cscs? And I have to submit it every time I submit an edividend form with that registrar shocked ? I didn’t get the 20 copies part... thank you for your reply

Yes @ the bolded according to two stockbrokers I stated above.

You will submit it to your stockbrokers, who will then fill your other details in the form and send to CSCS on your behalf'.

The 20 copies I stated was to avoid the stress of always sending the form to them especially for stocks of different registrars if you are into multiple stocks investment. Since you reside in Lagos, it will be easier for you to send the form to them compared to those residing outside.

Modified: In addition, to avoid the submission of e-dividend mandate form more than once to a registrar, do these two basic things as we have always been adviced here ;

1. When submitting your e-dividend mandate form for the first time ensure you tick all active companies listed in the form
2. Whenever you want to sell your stock, ensure you don't completely sell all, even if it means leaving at least five (5) units of the stock in your portfolio.

Here are the numbers that I promised you:

When the Unbundling of UPDC and UPDCREIT is completed, the shareholders of UPDC will be given 1 unit of UPDCREIT in addition to every 12 shares of UPDC held.

AND UACN SHAREHOLDERS WILL RECEIVE
12 SHARES OF UPDC +
1 SHARE OF UPDCREIT
IN ADDITION TO EVERY 2 SHARES OF UACN ORIGINALLY HELD.
Guy I from the very moment I saw this your post I quickly moved into research about UACN. Here are my findings:

UACN has 2,881,296,580 ordinary shares of 50k each.
UPDC has 18.462billion ordinary shares of 50k each after the right issue.
Accordig to reuters.com UACN now own 93.9% or 17.34 billion shares of UPDC. When UACN unbundles UPDC, the 17.34B shares will be alloted pro rata to the shareholders of uacn i.e 17.34b ÷ 2.88b = 6 shares of updc for 1 share of uacn held.

In addition, UPDCREIT has 2,668,269,500 units of N10 each.
UPDC own 61.5 % or 1,640,985,742 units of UPDCREIT.
And uacn own 93.9% or 1,540,885,611 units of updcreit.
the pro rata means 1.54b ÷ 2.88b = 0.53 unit for 1 share of uacn held. Now let's multiply 0.53 by 2 = 1.06 or 1 unit of updcreit for ever 2 shares of uacn.

SUMMARY
THEREFORE, FOR EVERY TWO SHARES OF UACN THAT SHAREHOLDER HAD THEY WILL RECEIVE ONE UNIT OF 10 NAIRA EACH OF UPDCREIT AND TWELVE SHARES OF UPDC AS BONUS SHARES.

OGA YOUR HEAD IS CORRECT. grin cheesy

I have already made UACN the 65 % of my portfolio, hoping to add more before the unbundlings finally take place in July.

We are making alot of money this year. grin grin grin

Not that straight forward, they planned raising more money this year but the current realities will make that an impossibility.

The range is relatively stable and it's a bit better cos there are records of quite a number of greens; no panic or massive dumping.

Lance, did you see Zenith? Still closed a bit higher (15.50) despite the ranging and offers.....na so e go waka slowly reach 16 and keep moving, barring any unforeseen situation again. smiley

Payment date is today 18th May.......you should get any moment from now.

I think it's high time for Wema's ministry to move up. I don't know the kind of sentiment that's keeping the share price below 60kobo. Its supposed to be at the 70kobo region at least.
Its own time will come anyway.

M & B (those who bought @ 3.23 on Thursday where trying to exit @ 3.12 on Friday with bids getting lower. when UCAP was giving us 50k @ 2.80, is it illiquid m&b @25k that we will be chasing. tufiakwa grin grin Don't chase a moving train.

NEIMETH (has reached its 52wk high. Will it break and form a new support. we watch).

Is possible if m&b drops, fidson and gsk will follow suit.

M & Bclosed @#3. it might likely fall small again before qualification day.

I think NEIMETH is now in overpriced region. those buying should be careful because when neimeth falls, it falls hard.

Not all registrars request for share transfer form. Some are only bent on frustrating customers......but like Madam suggested, which I also picked a learning point from, I think it's better to have extra signed copies with the broker cos they are supposed to fill it and send to the registrar from their end.

My concern is this:
*Does a broker open files for individuals? Maybe analogue broker but not sure of digital ones.
*What happens when you needed another copy and the broker couldn't lay hands on the already signed ones again?

You have started again, that was the same way you deceived the young investors here during ccnn obu cement merger, that made many of them to regret not buying into ccnn before it was delisted.

Good afternoon to the professionals in the house.
I stumbled across this thread and it's been an educative read so far. Please is there any particular page number that have general overview of what I need to know. Though I have started from page 1 but it is still a long road to the current page.

Me na very small investor I be (that is if I qualify for the tag sef)

I bought shares with Dangote Sugar during their IPO immediately after secondary school in 2006. Though they sent bonus shares/dividends but at a point, life happens and I lose track of everything. Is there anyway of getting updates on my shares status and perhaps start receiving subsequent dividends and pending ones.

P.S: Sorry for the long story, I am still a wannabe investor

Rabiu is afraid of releasing the result of BUA cement, we have seen the result of Dangote cement and Lafarge.

BUA cement inflated price will crash when the result is released. The company can't pay more than 80k dividend

Lafarge has upside potential, BUA cement has downside potential

Obu is not offering you cash but shares. So don't build your castle in the air
emmanuelewumi:

If CCNN can get to N25 due to the current euphoria, I will advise you to sell and buy Dangote cement at less than N148 or Lafarge at around N14. That is if you want to invest in companies that are manufacturing cement
emmanuelewumi:

Really.

What value did Kalamazoo add to CCNN?

I doubt if Obu will add much value considering the over bloated outstanding shares the company will have after the merger.

What will be the market share of the enlarged entity in the cement market?
these were some of your post during the ccnn and obu cement merger.

Why do you always like to discourage others any time a companey is undergoing any structural change that will produce profit for investors.

Now I challenge you to produce the source of your information that says uacn, updc or updcreit is planning to raise more fund this year.

BUA cement is a big bubble waiting to burst, Rabiu can only postpone the day the bubbles will burst. But it won't take long again.

I hope he won't say the dividends were donated to fight Covid 19.

We have seen the Q1 2020 of Lafarge. We have not seen 2019 audited financial report of BUA cement almost 5 months after the financial year

The highest profit after tax, which I expect from BUA cement is N35 billion for 2019.

Which will give an EPS of about N1.00 per share

Concerning your questions, It's probably they do have a way of Keeping record of clients ' extra copies of signed transfer form.

Morgan Capital actually adviced me to do this, and since I posted about 20 copies of my signed transfer forms to them, I have never had any problem in receiving my dividends: although, I still make sure I leave a few of the stocks in my portfolio after i sell as we have been adviced here.
Hope you're having a great day madam?

But this time around we wait PATIENTLY for the UNBUNDLING exercise which will take place soonest during their AGM.

It will be the deal of the CENTURY.
