Hello people, Nice to learn from everyone on this platform. It’s amazing how much I have learnt reading your comments and opinions. Thank you all. Please indulge me a bit by helping with these I will like to clarify if there’s a difference between the statement of purpose submitted for admission purpose viz a vis the one to be submitted to the visa office Also, if you have your funds in a mutual fund, can the statement with the asset company suffice if you can show evidence from your bank statement that you move your money monthly to the asset management company Another question, given that schools in Nigeria are on lock down, I will like to get an idea of how you were able to send official transcript to the school you applied to in Canada. Does WES Render such service, if in the past you have sent your official transcript to them? Lastly, asides leaving your family in Nigeria, what other evidence can someone to provide to show they have strong ties in Nigeria and where do you document all these information. Please assist.... Thanks in anticipation |

Thanks a lot @JustMellow I’m really grateful. God bless you real good. Please what is GCMS note and how do I request for it? Actually, for the sponsor, it was our Mum’s pension account that we intend using, with my hubby being the co-sponsor. The duration of my program is 1 year. JustMellow: |

wendynuel: The SOP for admission is strictly based on why you want to study that course and all that academic stuff While the SOP for VOs should contain 1. purpose of study, proof of funds and Home ties....they correlate what you write here with the documents you provide ,so be careful Since there is a cash flow between both accts, why not move a resonable amount to your own acct if it's no hassle, ofc they'd notice...why I said this is cuz they are more interested in seeing readily available cash, but the statement would probably work also, just package yourself well lol Scan your transcript and send it, simple as that.. I think Wes does such...comes at a fee tho there are 3 kinds of home ties Social - family (wife, husband and kids, parents) professional (your job or business) Economical( Landed property, investment just like you have, etc) I hope it helps 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hi Guys... @Frankrobbn1 @justwise (Good morning sirs and madams) Please, Please, I need your help. I have been following this thread for years. Please help Credentials now: A lawyer in Nigeria before coming to join me in Asia and MBA, Masters in Peace and Diplomacy (I am thinking of taking the MBA out in the CV or resume because to many masters) Program now: Conflict Studies Program Length: 2 years My wife just got admission for a Master’s Program in Conflict Studies for fall 2020 (A two years program). We live in one of the Asian countries. My sister’s husband in Nigeria is the main sponsor. I as the husband, want to be a co-sponsor (because I think it responsible as the husband to be a sponsor even though my sister will sponsor tuition and boarding), but I do not have enough money in my account here. I am writing in my sponsorship letter that I will be using my land in Nigeria to take a loan from my sister to be a cosponsor even though, my sister is taking full responsibility for the studies with about 40 million naira (Tuition and boarding is about 9 million naira for one year). Please does it make sense? Why a Masters in Peace Studies and Diplomacy Reason for Masters in Conflict Studies: It is because I want to study conflict because Peace studies does not give me a well-rounded background in conflict studies so that is why I am studying conflict in masters before a Phd( her intention or goal in the SOP is to be a consultant or lecturer)Academic career. Finance (Costs): Tuition for the 1 year is = CAD 4,900 x3 (almost CAD15,000) N4,200,000 Living expense 1yr: CAD10000 = N2,800,000 Misc: CAD $5000 = N1,400,000 Total money for a year: CAD 30,000 (N8,400,000) POF needed (from my younger sister and husband) = N40 million and some landed properties. Only my wife is applying ( I am staying with the 2 kids here) What would you advice.... me |

Sterling1122: Meaning of GCMS note--- With the ability to see what the reviewing officer has written on your file, GCMS notes are the only accurate way of providing an applicant with the in-depth view of his file, thus enabling the applicant to be well informed of the status, or take pro-active steps as needed. As for requesting for the GCMS notes, they can mail it to you I think The 5m wouldn't have sufficed you both, thats why there was a red flag there 1yr course, thats alright....you should be okay financially |

Hello Please I need an answer or an advice to this question that’s bothering me seriously I have 12M in my personal account . Sponsorship not exactly forthcoming I am going for a program of 8.2M (MBA). Should I submit this bank account along side my landed properties , shares and other investments Or i shouldn’t till I find a sponsor?? Thank you all |

silvamania:Personally,i would urge you to give it some thought. can you move some money from your shares. since your sponsoring yourself, you got to have hands on available cash . You stand a chance getting it, just don't rush things How many years is the course btw? |

Sterling1122: There are sites approved by CIC in which you can apply for your gcms note but you have to be a Canadian citizen or a somebody living there to apply. Also there are third party sites where you can apply, they help u to apply but will cost more. Google can get you started.. 1 Like |

Richadv: If you are applying, u will need to make it known on the imm form u will fill, If u are successful and get a medical request, you must tell the physician about it. So my answer is yes you can apply... but be mindful of the province you choose because of the weather eg Quebec, is really cold. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Anon123: 6:45pm On May 18, 2020 |
silvamania: Honestly, nobody can tell u exactly what amount is okay or not.. but it's determinant on how many years your course is. Just have enough for your tuition fees and at least one year living expense. If you can get a sponsor, it's an added advantage. But getting a visa approval goes beyond the millions in your account shaa. 3 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Anon123: 6:53pm On May 18, 2020 |
Bruan:This is normal and advantageous wen it gets to securing a permanent job.. a coop is more like the Nigerian University Industrial training but with better advantage after school.. So apply for your visa normally, wen you get to canada, u will be issued a study permit and a work permit. The work permit is your key card for you to be eligible for the 6months coop placement |
