I like that part of "they should expect dividend". Management does not think like this Sir. They see the business more than the shareholders.
emmanuelewumi:

NAHCO equally made profits for the year 2019, so shareholders should expect dividends no matter how small

GTBank and Zenith bank gap has widened again to like N8. This must be closed one way or the other.

Wonder why Fidson is not in this bus too

OBAGADAFFI:

I don't know what is wrong with Fidson .

Leverage (working for the banks), disappointing FY19 result (after a rights issue in 1st quarter), declining revenue YoY, Family grip, e.t.c.
Perhaps investors want to watch their Q1 2020 performance from the sidelines before jumping in.

My opinion though.

I remember this posts about Fidson.

nahco will be good to look at again after H1.
bigjay01:

Not bad, provided everyone (including management) concedes something. Tough times for the industry in view of the prevailing climate.
I had increased my holding last year. Anyway, i have a long term view.

They have not made any revenue in 8 weeks, I learnt the workers Union are challenging the 50% reduction in salaries.
Workers were paid for 2019, it will be fair for shareholders to also be paid for 2019 business year. We are all in this together for 2020

The workers union is totally irresponsible to expect that their members would be paid as if all is normal. I do not like why it is difficult for companies to inform the market on the steps they have taken to remain afloat during this pandemic. It cannot be business as usual.

That's the rule (as per the last price movement amendment).
Go through this rule and learn one or two things more.

A lot has changed, based on the greed on the current management.
Don't do business with greedy management, Oando, First Bank are few examples.

The core Investors might have taken a leveraged position, everything is to sell assets of the company and book profit. You remember how Oando sold there Property, booked profit and became a tenant in the same property.

GSK sold Ribena and shared the proceeds of N7.00 per shares to shareholders, I am yet to see a Nigerian managed business that will do this.

Mind you I am diversified, UACN is one of the 60 stocks I have in my portfolio I have sold down and reinvested into other asset even thoughI still have about 30,000 units left.

60 stocks? All Nigerian or Foreign included?

The most a stock can rise in price in a trading day is ten per cent. D most it can fall is also ten per cent. It is the normal rule. There is a ten per cent cap on the upward or downward movement in the price of a stock in a day. It cant rise or fall more than ten per cent.

Really wish it could be easy as ABC to short-sell some of these companies. This is also when I wish we have corporate raiders to teach some of these companies a lesson and simultaneously creating value for shareholders.

I did not get my full salary paid for April. It is not about being emotional about a business. If you do not earn revenue, it is logical that you do not go borrowing to pay salaries.

They must be living in cloud cuckoo land.
Even in this part of the world where there is semblance of sanity, my CEO has taken a 20% pay cut, we are conceding 5%.
