Good day I was denied a Canada study visa based on this reason
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment

Please how can I respond to this situation if I want to reapply

1. what course are you going for?
2. whats the cost of your study
3 are you employed, if yes what kinda job are you doing and your salary?
4. are you being sponsored?

Good morning gurus in the house @justmellow @justwise and everyone else.
I am an old timer and I have been delayed twice. I am planning to re fire and I would like some light to be shed into my documentations.
Firstly, I am planning to use my two sisters as my sponsor, the main sponsor is in UK and I will be having her transfer my second semester tuition into my account as I have made payments for my first do I still need to show her SOA and does she need to have a reasonable closing account balance(note my program of study is 3years) ,plus some extra funds for living expense. My other sister which is the Co-sponsor has a PR in Canada and I want her to give me a sponsorship letter to proof she will take care of accommodation and probably a little of feeding. Do I still need to show 10k cad even after she will be sponsoring accommodation and feeding or will showing 5kcad miscellaneous be enough. Secondly I have a registered business and also I work in a company owned by the family and earn 300k will this be good enough as family tie(I have a daughter but I am not married is it advisable to include her as family tie or not). Thirdly I get rents annually form properties inherited from my late dad but you know how polygamous families are we are all joined together in various properties but I am a beneficiary in more than one places. Will including the last will of testament and explaining in my SOP how much I get annually plus the turnover of my business be reasonable enough as proof of funds accessible to me in subsequent years. Thank you all as you help shed more light to this. God bless you

Please whoever is the admin of this forum should call some people to order, we are deviating from the course of this forum. When I first joined this forum I got a lot of helpful information that aided me in applying for my study permit, thanks to u all. But now there are newbies here asking questions and getting very minimal response because you people are busy complaining of how unfair the Canadian immigration system is and whether Nigerians are corrupt or not. As I said earlier, if u feel u have been denied your right or unjustly denied visa u can quietly take it up with IRCC in court. Their are immigration lawyers that will be happy to represent you.

The one thing I understand here is:
1. Canadian Immigration has quotas for issuing student visas.
They may not publish them or even admit to having them but believe me when I say that, even though you have met all of the requirements, **the Canadian Government owes you nothing.**
There are many people from many countries that view a Canadian education with great value. The Canadian Government is very aware of this. It’s therefore a sellers market.
It is also well known that a Canadian education attained with a student visa is one of the more secure paths to being granted Permanent Residency in Canada, especially if you have managed to secure some part time work in your intended field. The number of people applying to go to Canada now are not the same as the number of people that were applying in 2016. I had a cousin who went to Canada to do his undergraduate in 2011 and came back because it was too cold. Fast forward now he applied for post graduate and got denied. Then Canada was not what it is now, so situations have changed.
They get millions of qualified applicants every day but somehow they will have to filter.

If you still want to study in Canada, try again and again till u get it. It all depends on how badly u want it. Coming here to complain everyday will not give u the visa.

If my visa gets refused I will keep trying till I get it cos God knows how badly I want it.

Can we please help others with their applications, and if complaining is so important to us we can create another forum for that.

Thanks.

For purpose of visit: Go for a higher program, PGD/C or Msc. if you had 2:2 or 2:1 in your Bsc respectively..

Then you said you declared 5.5M in your LOE, I don't understand..

Please help am new here.. Am planning to relocate to Canada with my 1yr baby(huby will join later) I want to either use student pathway or child care giver pathway.
I have BSc 2:2 in Nutrition and dietetics 2013..since then I have been self employed. I don't have landed properties or strong financial backing but my hubby have friends that can arrange proof of fund. So am looking for colleges outside Ontario within 2m tuition fee range..no ielts.. I don search tire. I want to apply for Child care related course that will take 2 yrs. Diploma

Second option am considering is applying for childcare job. Then write ielts and relocate with my baby(hubby will come later). I have certificate on Red Cross first aid but no child care course (planning to do online course)

Please what are my chances, have anyone gone through the childcare pathway before. Can I apply for job without the childcare course. Pls help my gurus

You have to check your application again on how you stated your current employment situation. I think almost every other part of the rejection is tied to that.

Hi Biot34,

Sad to hear about your study permit refusal.

Based on your refusal reasons, I think u can tackle it in 2 ways:
1. Study leave letter from your current employer if you are working. It should include that they can’t wait for you to come back and apply the knowledge u gained over there blah blah. Something in that line.

2. Your SOP. Highlight how the course you are going to study will be of value to you here back home. My first degree is in environmental science and my second degree is related as well. I highlighted the environmental challenges we have here especially in the Niger Delta as a result of oil exploration etc. I hammered a lot on that more than anything else I wrote in that SOP.
Considering how my application is going I think it worked.

Good luck on your next application.

thanks so much@ Meek127
Meek127:

The SOP for admission is strictly based on why you want to study that course and all that academic stuff

While the SOP for VOs should contain
1. purpose of study, proof of funds and Home ties....they correlate what you write here with the documents you provide
,so be careful

Since there is a cash flow between both accts, why not move a resonable amount to your own acct if it's no hassle, ofc they'd notice...why I said this is cuz they are more interested in seeing readily available cash, but the statement would probably work also, just package yourself well lol

Scan your transcript and send it, simple as that..
I think Wes does such...comes at a fee tho

there are 3 kinds of home ties
Social - family (wife,husband and kids,parents)
professional (your job or business)
Economical( Landed property, investment just like you have, etc)

I hope it helps

Does it mean that if u're still working at the time of applying, ur SOP should sound like u aren't?
I just want to know if it's wrong to make it obvious that u're still working while applying for study permit

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by aruya: 4:41pm On May 19, 2020
Your application is better served if you show that you're in a viable employment (most especially if a mature student) because it works for you in several ways. 1) You show ability to meet financial requirements 2) Shows that in the event that you have to leave Canada after your studies you have something to come back to 3) It can count for home ties if you can get a study leave from the company. What I was trying to say earlier was that he should focus a lot on trying to show that he/she is gainfully employed and this can be done by showing current reference letters, study leave approvals, pay slips, etc

Greetings house trust all is going well please i was told to come here and ask questions God bless us all
First of all I am going for my masters in finance at Windsor university
Here is my query
1)My mother is my sponsor but here is the issue she doesn’t own no CAC documents cause basically she is not into running a company, but she has so many inherited properties and she also sells and buys Properties too , I have printed out her statement and for the case of supporting documents as source of income she gave to give me the “THE TRANSFER OF INTEREST IN LAND AGREEMENT “ about 5 showing the properties she sold and also the ones she paid for.
These documents I am talking about are notarized , signed and stamped by her lawyer.
is it advisable to go ahead and submit ?

2) do co-sponsors have to submit their source of income too ??

3) my elder brother owns a real estate company he has the complete CAC documents is there any way I can join it to my application as source of income for my mum since it’s literally buying and selling of properties she does to sum the money in her account or I should just go ahead and submit what she gave me !?

God bless us all
Cc mcobex, justmellow, frankrobbn1, Naijaforeigner Wunaarroon69 , and everyone who can be kind enough to advice me I am about submitting my application

My School just sent me an email that i will have to write an entrance exam in Nigeria. I will do that in any university or college or organisation that supports such exam.

The Below is the email he sent. I copied the confusing part

Step 2: Write the pre-admissions entrance exam. We are available Monday-Thursday from 9AM-5:30PM and Friday 8:30AM-2:30PM.

For applicants that are located in another city, province or country they may write the pre-admission examination at a local University or College that is equipped to proctor exams from other institutions.

How to find a proctor:

If you wish to write the exam closer to home, please provide us with the name of the Institution, the name of the proctor, professional e-mail address and business contact number that is equipped to do so. We will then contact the proctor and arrange for them to have access to the pre-admission examination online.
Mandatory Pre-Admissions Entrance Exam:

Who has written any such exam?

And where will i find the university doing it?

Please i await your response
