I try not to get into every discussion but guys there is something called prototype now
What we are actually seeing right now is the prototype
the ARMY ORDERED 130
Even in America the y will not build all models the same now
i beg take am easy
They have to find out ( from experience even in the battlefield )
what works and what does not
prototype no2. has a double axle at the back ( four wheels on the back) that means more weight / versus stability you find a balance
the prototypes will be driven very fast around bends ( what is the tip over speed ? it doesn't make it unstable)
guys take it easy the vehicle is not even a year old !
As time goes on better variants and improvements will be added. God speed to Nigeria Army.

I remember making some observations about this mrap. And kabe was putting me down....truthfully the army doesn't have the technical ability to make an mrap....they should have just stuck with proforce and negotiated a good deal based on number of vehicles....but I guess, the generals needed to make extra money.

This is not entirely true. You didn't offer any credible criticism, just accusations of unfounded claims of corruption like you're currently doing.

Nigeria can't have a developed Defence industry especially in land systems if we have only one armoured vehicle manufacturer. Competition breeds quality products.

The ARA 2 did not become a world class MRAP over night, there were many, many trial and errors. Each iteration was shipped to the Nigerian army for testing, same thing with the Ezugwu.

There has been clear improvements between Ezugwu 1 and Ezugwu 2. There would continue to be improvements going forward.

Let us learn to appreciate indigenous efforts, as we cannot continue to import vehicles for our security needs.

When in many instances Nigeria paid for equipment but the seller did not deliver.

Ezugwu 2 has 4 rear tyres, I'm sure this was done to help improve mobility.

It's ballistic protection is excellent, at least we have all seen the videos of 2 Nigerian soldiers firing DICON & Ezugwu MRAP with AK-47 at close range.

We have not seen how it would perform with an IED but we can see that it has a very good V-shaped hull.

I'm sure the issues we have heard will be fixed, but as it is, there is no other option than to support made in Nigeria.

In supporting made in Nigeria, we cannot only have one supplier.

Proforce are where they are today because the army and federal government through multiple agencies have supported them. How come you did not see corruption there?

Lol he has forgotten (pic1) was ara1 when it was first unveiled, I can spot so many mistakes from the Hull sef

Second picture was that same ara, after they made some changes, you can spot

Before it even got to now

If I remember well, Ara1 was first unveiled 2017, while Ara2 was 2019, it took 2years to get to where it is now

So writing Ezegwu off just because it has some errors in it is just pure trolling

Exactly, Ezugwu 1 has so many errors. However they constantly changed.

With the support of the Nigerian army, they constantly improved.

In this photos we can see the DG of DICON and many DICON engineers on a facility tour to Proforce. They are eager to learn and improve their own methods.

You can see him checking out vehicles and tooling/fabrication equipment.

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism wishes to use this medium to pledge its unalloyed support to the operations of the Nigerian Army in North-East Nigeria and charges the troops to be vigilant and responsive as the Boko Haram terrorist group whose ranks have been depleted would attempt to pull surprises just like it did in the case of

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism is delighted with the exploits of troops of 212 Battalion under Sector 1 of Operation Laifya Dole of the Nigerian Army who successfully repelled Boko Haram terrorists’ attack, killed several insurgents and recovered arms and ammunition at Gajigana, Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno State.

This feat buttresses the commitment exhibited by the troops of the Nigerian Army in ensuring that the remnants of Boko Haram/ISWAP are wiped out for the return of peace and tranquillity to North-East Nigeria.

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism as a critical stakeholder in the war against terrorism wishes to commend the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai whose leadership strides has turned the Nigerian Army into a vibrant and professional force in pursuit of its mandate of protecting and preserving the territorial integrity of Nigeria.

The gallantry of the troops of the Nigerian Army was also manifest in the successful repelling of the attempted attack by Boko Haram terrorist in Dapchi that saw to the killing of over 32 Boko Haram members and several others injured. This is no mean feat and an indication that the days of Boko Haram/ISWAP in North-East Nigeria are indeed numbered.

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism wishes to state that the Nigerian Army has indeed lived up to expectations in ensuring that the ranks of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist group are decimated and rendered ineffective.

We salute this act of bravery that is in the overall interest of Nigeria, and a great victory for the people of North-East Nigeria that have suffered untold hardship through the activities of Boko Haram that went unabated years ago.

We must admit that indeed tangible progress has been made in the war against terrorism in Nigeria through the exploits of the Nigerian Army led by the indefatigable Chief of Army Staff. Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.

Nigerians must indeed be appreciative of the efforts of our loyal and dedicated troops and consequently urged them to victory in this final phase in the war against terrorism in North-East Nigeria and Nigeria at large.

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism also notes the various rescue operations of the Nigerian Army that has resulted in the rescue of thousands of women and children held in captivity by the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist group and used as a human shield.

That the various rescue operations have recorded little or no casualties on the part of the captives (women and children) speaks volume of a professional force that abides by the rules of engagement in warfare.

Our special commendation also goes to the officers and soldiers under Operation Lafiya Dole that has continued to display acts of bravery even in the face of challenges in service to our fatherland.

We are convinced that if this present tempo is sustained, Nigeria shall indeed have cause to celebrate the victory over the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist group in a short while.

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism wishes to use this medium to pledge its unalloyed support to the operations of the Nigerian Army in North-East Nigeria and charges the troops to be vigilant and responsive as the Boko Haram terrorist group whose ranks have been depleted would attempt to pull surprises just like it did in the case of Dapchi recently.

We are grateful for this rare feat and encourage Nigerians from all walks of life to rally support for the Nigerian Army as they push for the final decimation of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist group.

Nigerians must accept the fact that there was a time where over 16 local government areas in North-East Nigeria were under the control of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist group and the consequent loss of lives and destruction of properties running into millions of dollars.

Today, the case is different as there is no Nigerian territory under the control of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist group. Instead, they have been confined to hideouts on fringes of the Lake Chad Basin region.

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism is also aware of the renewed commitment of the Multinational Joint Taskforce that has seen to the effective manning of the Nigerian borders around the Lake Chad Basin Region thereby blocking every entry and escape route for fleeing Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist when they come under heavy bombardment from the Nigerian troops.

We are convinced that what is left of the Boko Haram/ISWAP group are disgruntled fighters that are out for a face-saving endeavor that would lead to no tangible result as the Nigerian troops have effectively gained control of war against terrorism in North-East Nigeria.

The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism charges the Nigerian troops to go all out and ensure that those remnants of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist group are eliminated or captured for the return of peace to North-East Nigeria.

We also salute the leadership strides of President Muhammadu Buhari for providing that platform for our troops to continue to record tremendous progress in the war against terrorism in Nigeria.

The end of Boko Haram/ISWAP is indeed around the corner.

Why are German car manufacturers so good it has taken them over a century to have attained this level of excellent quality control, reliability and performance. That experiential knowledge added to R & D coupled with the WW2 experience gives them that ability top produce to quality products military or civilian.

That in itself creates organisational culture where excellence is never compromised.

Then somebody thinks that we can plonk a steel cabin on top of a chassis and heh presto we have a world class MRAP, it simply doesn't work like that.

I mentioned my concerns about the Ezeugo quite some time ago.

There is no problem pointing out any legitimate problems if it exists in Ezegwu.

It will help to keep Ezegwu upto the task through continuous improvements.

It's part of the learning process and the developmental life cycle of any product.

Nobody's gets everything right in the first attempt .

If I can identify the faults in my product and rectify the same , I will, in the end up with a product which I aimed for and possibly exceed my expectations and as a bonus the experienced gained during the same will be valuable for future programs.

In continuation of the sustained onslaught against Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) targets in the North East of the Country, the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed some compounds in Njimia on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest, where the BHTs keep their logistic items. This was achieved through air strikes executed yesterday, 19 May 2020, following credible intelligence reports as well as series of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions that led to the identification of the nondescript cluster of structures within the settlement that were being used by the BHTs to house their fuel and other logistics.
Accordingly, the Air Task Force dispatched an appropriate Force Package of attack aircraft and a surveillance platform to take out the target. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) attack assets scored accurate hits in their bombing runs on the target area, completely obliterating the logistics stores as well as causing damage to several other BHT structures in the settlement.
The Chief of the Air Staff commends the Air Task Force for their professionalism and directs them to remain resolute towards eradicating the terrorists from the North East.
