Gabkosh: People who work with facts, either because they love Lagos and desire her progress or because their profession encourages them to alway recognize proven statistics, Will know that the Igbos are not assets to Lagos. At all. They are mainly saboteurs. It is only their business leaders like Ovia, Elumelu etal who contribute substantially to the IGR of Lagos. Meanwhile the contribution of those people is dwarfed by that of their Yoruba peers who are far more in number. Overall, only the Igbos themselves and uninformed Yorubas think Igbos are as important to Lagos as they claim. They actually benefit more from Lagos than they give back which makes them an economic deficit to the State rather than an asset. This is why I encourage and will continue to encourage them daily to leave Lagos and see if the State "crashes" as they threaten will happen if they depart back to Ala Igbo. 36 Likes 1 Share |

Oshigun: The reality is that they wanted to "kill" Lagos as an economic hub. They abandoned the National stadium and Federal secretariat in Ikoyi to birds ,rats and snakes. I do not always agree with Tinubu's politics but he clearly was a visionary leader and transformed Lagos. What Lagos has become since 1999 was not an automatic given. It is BETTER in many ways than it ever was when it was capital nearly 30 years ago. Ignorant people talk about HOW MUCH money Lagos has. Lagos state annual budget is about half or less the budget of Harvard university. This is what goes to pay salaries and provide security that the FG fails to do and is also expected to provide infrastructure. It is an uphill task but WE are winning 31 Likes 3 Shares |

omonnakoda: You have spoken the koko. Their hope and prayer was and still is that Lagos would stop growing, that way they can blame it on 'Yoruba incompetence', but since that did not happen, they either try to claim credit for its evident growth, or whitewash it as though it is insignificant. If you have noticed, they exhibit more anti-Lagos sentiment than any other ethnicity in Nigeria (as if they don't benefit from her progress). It's all in an attempt to discredit its strides out of jealousy and envy for that ethnicity whose sterling administration is responsible for its continued growth and success. 25 Likes |

GamalNasser: New York is in USA, world largest and most developed economy. If you want to compare Lagos progress, compared her to Cairo, Karachi and other cities in the developing world. What Lagos has achieve from 1999 till date is borderline miraculous. You may hate Tinubu and his progressive team all you like, Lagos will continue to a no go area for you. 26 Likes |

FlyoruB:I think it is more than that they are just envious full stop. Amongst themselves even in the same family the envy is out of this world. It is in their DNA and is driven by a profound inferiority complex. They are sensible enough to adjust that to the clan level when survival dictates but you will hardly see them employ Eboes from another town. Very clannish and envious folk Just mention anyone doing well and their first response is self comparison, dredging up imagined scenarios where they are better. Every self description is in the superlative. We are the most...... We are the biggest.... We are the best..... Even in the face of glaring contradictory evidence 29 Likes 1 Share |

GamalNasser:Lagos STATE did not have 20 million in 1999. According to the 2006 census,Lagos population was under 10 million. Why is the population exploding compared to the rest of Nigeria despite being the smallest state. Why didn't the population explode at the same rate WHILE IT HOSTED THE FCT UNTIL 1991? Much has changed in the way it is governed since 1999 In the USA they practice true federalism . The port authority of New York and New Jersey is a joint body controlled by the governors of those states not the Federal government 20 Likes |

All the billions yet nothing to show for it. Tinubu will take 50percent. Obasa and his concubines and those rogues in Lagos State House of assembly will take 20perent while the remaining peanut 30percent will go to the state government. 1 Like 2 Shares |
