The Government needs to know some things about the cannabis plant. If possible more research to see how beneficial this may be as claimed by the producers.
Some countries as well as some states in the US have legalize the production and use of cannabis through adequate regulation and supervision by the regulatory agencies in those countries.

The use of Indian hemp as medicine is so wonderful and miraculous.
Hemp is illegal, yes we all know.
However, this NDLEA, do they know that Indian hemp is not only used for criminal purposes?
Do the NDLEA know that Indian hemp is a very important ingredient in many drugs for several ailments?
Do the NDLEA or the PHARMACEUTICAL COUNCIL OF NIGERIA know the truth about Indian hemp?
Why are we so daft at using our education as a development tools?
Why can't government reform and regulates Indian hemp products in order to make medicines and money out of this health benefit of Indian hemp.

There are many reasons why people are problematic in Nigeria.

This man and his mother should be treated as a guests of NDLEA .
They should be reprimanded for acting illegally in producing the byproducts of Indian hemp and at the same time they should be prepared for a better deal on how to produce legally and .

God bless governor Akeredolu, for the first time on Nairaland I can see people united without tribal affiliation, illegal or not this man has hurt nobody, he's innovative and should be a national asset to the nation with how sophisticated he is in a business that has the potential to generate billions of dollars for the Nigerian government... I'm surprise only Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is seeing this potential, others including Buhari are simply blind.

Akeredolu for president ! The man is light years ahead of all others in terms of openly promoting the enormous financial and medical rewards that can be reaped once marijuana cultivation is legalized in Nigeria, just as is now the case in Ghana, Lesotho, Zambia, Uganda, and South Africa, where millions of tax dollars are flowing into government coffers from their nascent cannabis industries that are now attracting wealthy investors from the world over.

Sometimes it is traumatic reading what our organizations have reduced themselves to.
Can you imagine the profile of the business they are closing down? We are saboteurs to ourselves in this nation.
In this travail I see a hand of one business mogul who import this same end product into the country.
Hope you know what I meant?

The laboratory is located at 7 Imam Augusto Close, Victoria Island, Lagos State. Spokesman of the NDLEA, Jonah Achema, in a statement on Friday in Abuja, said the lab was managed by one Oladapo Ifedayo Oluseyi Adedayo

For regarding your profound ignorance about the proven medical benefits of cannabis as evidence of your "sophistication", you are only showcasing your own lack of a formal education, which is certainly no sin, so please, by all means do go ahead with this line of backward thinking, if it makes you happy.

It has been said often that the only enterprises allowed to thrive in Nigeria, are treasury looting and religion.

Anyone attempting to seek wealth in any other way, will face a lot of opposition from Nigeria's highly religious treasury looting class, most of who do not read, because they cannot.

Really tiring. I don't know when we will start moving for marijuana legalization because it's needed. Not for it's economic benefits but also to correct the Nigerian mentality of seeing marijuana as evil

So ironic it is, that alcohol, which has killed so many via liver damage, and which truly brings out the lunatic in many abusers of THAT highly poisonous drug, is perfectly legal in Nigeria, while cannabis, which has so many medical applications, and which has not caused one single overdose death since the dawn of time, remains ILLEGAL.

Better for your long-term health to buy a vaporizer, instead of smoking.
