Upcoming artists should have managers that are separate from the record label. Managers that went to school, that have financial knowledge (probably worked in a bank). When going to sign for a record company go with your mgr make the record company pay his salary as part of the contract (if you can't pay). He will interpret what the contract says if he can't he will take to a lawyer that can. Many of these bank managers(esp the ones that have lost their job are financially sound and earn less than 500k per month). These people will protect their asset(you the artiste) because their survival depends on you. How can u sign a deal that you can't have control over your name which is the most important because your name is your identity and your brand. These record labels take advantage of artists because of illiteracy and desperation to make it; but fill their companies with renowned bankers and lawyers.

Bros wohi na? Its not about being Igbo its entertainment biz. Was kiss Daniels record company owned by Igbo? Or plantation boiz? These companies are predators and will prey on any artist who doesn't know what's up or has talent. The mistake artists make is surrounding themselves with their own type of people (druggies and pyscophants and hoes). Artists even though signed to record label should have their own workers like managers that work in their own interest. Your manager can get your own gig separate from what the Label mgt brings to the table. Imagine if your record label is competing with your manager. Your manager brings gig to you that goes straight to your pocket, ur Label will sit up and won't do you anyhow. In capitalism, competition brings out the best in people.

I remembered she was living a wild life at some point in time going by this report in the Punch newspaper.I hope she realises then that some people complaining about her lifestyle don't hate her and she can learn to manage her wealth and stardom next time. I hope we all can learn lessons too.

depression happens when a person fall into a situation you feel hopeless. E.g a man in the middle of a desert with no sight of a green pasture. It could happen to anyone. When you get to a situation that has no promising way out and it sadden you for more than two to three weeks then it is medically tagged depression. Anyone can get into this situation, some people became depressed because of some event out of their control e.g loss of family, this is because they can change the event.
Also people become depressed when they make decision that has life long effect on them e.g made bad grades. When you graduate with a 4.48 and you got a C because you slept off without revision in your final papers, I assumed you can understand such situation.
