I think there has to be a law that compels FG to complete any project kick-started by the previous government, that is why any Party in power must initiate only project that will serve the purpose of "Nigeria" and not the sitting party.

So that even successive governments can carry-on with them and complete them without party-politics sentiments.

In fairness to the Buhari government, they have continued GEJ projects the Airports upgrade,2nd Nigeria Bridge, Lagos to Kano upgrade are all GEJ projects. The problem is that they have done little with so much funds and resources.

Buhari Government has increased Nigeria external debt profile from $10 billion to a whopping $36 billion, with less than $3 billion invested in projects the remaining funds' have been wasted on consumption.

After all, when APC took over from PDP in 2015, we thought that GEJ's rail revolution was over. Instead, Amaechi took the project under his wing and continued with it. (The same Amaechi who was fighting with GEJ and company before).

The fact of the matter is, rail is very very important to Nigeria. Because the alterantive is government spends billions fixing roads that wear out easily under the weight of frieght traffic every year.

Our big men like Dangote would want the railways done, because they would spend less transporting their products.

There are thousands of incomplete or abandoned projects across Nigeria. Some of these projects are massive and would typically span several administrations especially due to limited funds.

The last admin started the Abuja to Kaduna rail; the current admin completed it. The Admin of OBJ started the warri to Itakpe rail; the current admin completed it. The last admin started ground works for the 2nd Niger bridge, the current admin has made good progress on it and may likely complete it before 2023.

This admin started and has finished the Lagos to Ibadan rail section; if they cant complete the section from Ibadan to Abuja, the next admin will complete it.
