HOW TO INFLUENCE PEOPLE TO SEND YOU MONEY EVEN IN RECESSION, REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SELL.
===========================
IT IS NO NEWS THAT THERE IS A GLOBAL SHUTDOWN.
ALMOST EVERY BUSINESS IS ON A DOWNTREND.
SEVERAL JOBS WILL BE LOST.
NAIRA IS DEPRECIATING AGAINST THE DOLLAR.
WHAT IS YOU PLAN TO EARN IN THIS PERILOUS TIMES?
Every DIME in your pocket belongs to someone else: MTN, PHCN, Samsung, your landlord, Dangote, the greedy Nigerian police, the beer companies etc and that is not bad. But the main question is- Who is paying you?
When I graduated from Fed Univ Owerri few years ago, I never knew I will be a jobless engineer and my main source of income will come from something people think is all about porn and scams.
Can you guess what I am talking about?
It is the Internet. Most people think the internet is for porn and scam. But thank God that I discovered early that one can run a good business online and that is what has kept me jobless since I graduated with this blog ==> https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=127107602322278&id=105774654455573
Lately, I was looking for ways to increase my income online and I came in touch with a guy a lot of people are talking about. I am already learning from him sharply. My target is to increase my online income to N2m a month by December.
Looks like I will keep enjoying been a jobless engineer sha o!
Lest I forget, see the guy I am talking about here ==> https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=127107602322278&id=105774654455573

Lolzz.
Let me share one painful one I had.

Took a rider to FESTAC one early morning. (7am)
Then got a request from Lagos-badagry expressway. (destination: Ajah)
Rider was on the other side of the express, directly opposite FESTAC first gate.

I called rider and told her that I'm inside Festac, and I have to go down to alakija to make a turn, then connect the middle lane to where she is, and it'll take me 15mins ETA.
She said no problem.

I drove all the way down to Alakija, connect to the middle lane and drove to pick up point. Called rider two times, but she wasn't picking up. Few seconds later I got cancellation notification.

I got stranded and confused. I can't go back to festac, I can't drive back to Alakija, I can't connect to Amuwo odofin nor Orile, cos I'm on the middle lane. My only option is to drive down to Ijora, connect through Costain to surulere or connect through Eko bridge to Marina. And there was heavy traffic climbing that Ijora bridge that morning.

ETA to Costain alone was 45mins.

Me....
That woman do you strong thing. Chai shocked
For a minute your morale to drive will sure go down

Anyhow, we move!

Partial lockdown transport protocols still in place. Don't let lastma guys make a meal out of you.

Evening bro!
I'm actually a civil servant and i need a side hustle to augment the paltry we're collecting, I've decided on ehaling (Uber, Bolt etc.). I will like to know more about car specs, rules of engagement and how to make money considering the fact that I will be operating after office hours. Thanks
You are in the right place where every information you need is ready available undiluted but for you to get what really want you just need to put in some time by ready through some previous pages of the thread maybe from pg 1900 to present and I'm very sure that before you get to the present page you must have gathered every information you need to survive.

I'm sorry I can't answer or give you the information you seek because the ogas in the house have already done justice to it.

It may take a while for things to return to normal. 2021, maybe. Anyone using ehailing platforms to make financial plans or business decision in the next one year should better quash such plans. The hustle is half dead. It may remain this way in the foreseeable future.
Very true. Do you guys remember the dealer/new owner to my car I sold?? The new owner just called me now and along our discussion he mentioned something striking and I quote, "people are no more using public transport systems it why I bought the car". And in my mind I was like "e b like say dis guy no know say I b uber driver" cheesy why would I want to help this guy now and indirectly making it hard for my uber geng.

Bottomline, this pandemic has bring a new phase to life around the world and even when a vaccine is found there're lot of things that will never go back to the way they used to be.

May God help us.

I've noticed uber is having some issue with payment/collecting commission. Normally they debit my account every Wednesday/Thursday I can't vividly remember which of these day but since after resumption of lockdown uber have never debit my account. As a matter of fact I've about -N1,500+ commission which has been laying there on my statement.

Maybe the tech guys that wrote or own the uber app has been hit by the virus and nobody can fill in the void left and its practically impossible to change the entire system. I hope they bounce back soonest, stronger and better else uche and his geng will turn us to their humble slaves.

Rider- calls me and immediately I pick up the first thing she says is where are you? I pretended like I didnt hear so she can repeat herself, She goes where are you again and I'm like I'm at ogba.

Next thing she says is drive down to lsdpc estate and I asked her where are you heading to, a long pause with errmmm I think ketu and I responded with seems you not sure, next thing she's like what's wrong with you I told you ketu.

I'm like madam pls try and get another driver and immediately cut the phone off. 2 mins later a guy called saying he ordered the ride for someone I just de laugh, say good afternoon where I de? Immediately told the guy I wont be going on the ride that she is free cancel cos she has no manners at all n doesnt know how to talk to people immediately the guy is like ok sorry about that.

If to say I mistakenly go on that ride na 1 star for end am and if you hear the girl voice be like 20 year old girl. No manners awon marlians mad people

Was it an offline trip or online? If it was the latter You shouldn't have agreed to pay her any money, you accepting to pay is an acceptance of guilt in itself.

if truly you were held up in traffic which was in no way your fault. Your GPS coordinates will definitely be proof

The mistake you made was you did not at least communicate with the rider as the trip was going on, updating her on the traffic situation.

I never do offline for deliveries, no matter what especially since the day I couriered hard drugs without me even knowing, imagine if I was caught?

For the driver to send 4000 Nigerian Naira shows something really happened to the cake

Despite the traffic he encountered, he still sent 4k? For what exactly?

That man is not telling the group the whole story.

I remember when a guy sent a bolt driver to deliver certificate and they guy begin use uber app while on bolt trip for delivery.
The guy complained to bolt and bolt said d worst they can do is inform the driver to return certificate that the rules says clearly you must be in the car before you start a trip and that bolt is not a courier service.

So when it happened to me, ( I sent a package to my house price showed 800-1200 naira Card trip. When my guy end trip na 2,400 naira )
Na so I call bolt to complain the lady asked how many stops and I should give the routes we took?
I quickly said I slept off didn't know d routes . Because if I said it's a package they won't attend to it.
They did review and price change to 1,400 naira

Okay so Uber ban me for the second time and said no chance of appealing. First was late last year according to them my fone was not compactable this time around I believe it due cancellation cos the distance I kept getting for pickup is absolutely just crazy and when I decline to pick my cancellation rate jump sometimes as high as 4point and even wen I do pick just so it doesn't go up it reduce by just one point. Minus 32% now before lock down I was at 7. Done all back and forth der refuse changing dia mind. I get like 11kplus with Dem and that was due to a rider that took me round town for like 10 hours plus that day don't even know if that why I was block cos the guy never update trip said it was his boss paying no issue an. Hope am getting paid sha cos have not gotten alert and I want to believe it because of the public holiday?

I would like to believe Uber are a responsible company and would pay you. Whats the model of the mobile device you were using and how did they find out?

I personally domt think Dru will comeback to nairaland again, among many reasons I'll only state one sarcastically.

Give yourself a two weeks break from nairaland or let the mods ban you say for like 7days, you would have noticed NL adds little or no value to you rather a total waste of resource, time and energy which you've profited you more had you invested those same time, resource and energy on something else.

In a nut shell, dru isn't coming back because it doesnt cost anything to create another other moniker.

Same reason is behind my erratic presence here if not for the mentions, hineatly? I don't know.

Good you found that out, good for you man.
