Highly recommended. I have bought inverter, panels, Battrs, CCs from him and all came good.

In solar, as for the durability of products, this depend on what you bought. if you buy Amala or you buy eba or Apu difference de so also solar.

Actually he does not have his products, he sells what he buys and he sells products of different manufacturers. If you are wondering whether he sells genuine products some of them are but from my experience it really depends on what you want but all the stuff I have bought from him are as expected some genuine and others clones as applicable

Can people please share their opinion on felicity inverters as to durability, stability and idle consumption. Thank you in anticipation.

Anyone with Felicity inverter experience?

Is it that no one uses felicity inverter or no one wants to help me?

I haven’t used my own long enough to give a well informed review, as I have used it for only about 6 weeks, if you have specific questions probably about parameters that can be set or maybe an opinion based on the short while I have used it then maybe I can help

Thought the "last 2 weeks" was in regard to the second part of the question which the OP asked for the durability of the product bought grin

Hello good people of renewable energy, recommend a good bluetooth earbud. Things to be considered are long battery life, aesthetics, Bluetooth 5.0, good bass. Other things are a plus. cool

What's the product of battery you bought from him and rate? Price and battery durability will be appreciated....

Felicity panels I bought from him.. Already mounted wink

Found some on jiji when I searched you may want to try that out. Else check the MPP inverters, they have up to 400kva

There is a broad range of inverters Felicity sells - I have extensively installed and used the transformer based types but never the Axpert hybrid clones

Pros
1) Good price point.

2) Decent customer service and they honor product warranties.

3) Relatively powerful charger vs indian inverters - 40 to 50amps on the 24v and 48v models.

4) Newer models have user defined battery charge voltage settings and LVD - can be used with Lithium batteries in a pinch.

5) Excellent load and surge capability.

Cons
1) High idle consumption and operating losses relative to similar inverters. A 48v 5kva may have 100w to 110w of self consumption vs say 50w to 60w on a more efficient inverter - again what is an extra 40w? Just 1kwh of power lost daily grin

2) Some particular models (those configured via push pin) were notoriously susceptible to fan control module failures needing a visit to service center.

3) Inaccurate readings on the display for voltage under load, battery DoD and % charge and so on. Miraculously the charge voltage is relatively on track.

The biggest issue is the fan control module failure - susceptible models would likely conc out within year 1 - at least every 7 out of 10 inverters exhibited this behaviour - it became so that we would buy the inverter, take it to Oshodi arena and have a trusty hand apply a certain patch/bypass to the fan to keep things running forever without issues. This was done before installing at clients'.

Newer models seem to be more stable though I have since moved away from Asian inverters so only a few units installed.

PLS CONFIRM IF YOUR MPP IS 3KVA 24V, IF yes, wahts the weigth of the unit?
if its 5kva 48v, still tell me the weight, cos am considering buy from ebay and shippig to,nigeria, tru a good shipper

why not buy direct from mpp factory in Taiwan, i think it is cheaper that way. according to spec sheet, 3024GK weigh 11kg, while 5048GK weigh 13kg

It's 9kg on paper but it's 9.3kg in reality.

Yeah but I finally figured it out. David Poz was a big influence in my purchase of the BYD batteries. I have watched his videos and set ups countless times.

The batteries actually have 8 cells, not 7 like you mentioned and he connected his in 48v set up. I will be connecting mine in 24v set up then parallel all the individual cells like he did. This will help me eliminate having multiple BMS as system will be one big pack.

See my diagram of what I think is the parallel connection he did.

Apologies, your diagram is not too clear to me.
Had another look at video yt= dan-phillips-20191212 BYD 24v battery breakdown.
You're right: the BYD does have 8 cells, not 7 as I earlier referred in error.

Below is my diagram of how I think he rewired the cells to attain 8 batteries in parallel, with a 4p2s8p configuration. He essentially “broke open” the modules to reach the individual cells. He then rewired the cells to achieve 4P2S8P. Parallel connection of the initial cells of 4 modules. Parallel the initial 4 cells of his other 4 modules. Series connection the 1st column cell of first module with first column cell of the 5th. Repeat the first column 2S wiring of cells for each of the other 7 columns.

Shuu!!!! shocked shocked

Abeg you dey live for Nigeria? You want to feed the grid in which country?

On ground, in Ogun state.
Many potential opportunities to feed the utility grid (at wholesale level), and into shared micro-grids (at retail level) such as in residential and industrial estates estates, and into private nano-grids created by select inverter-chargers. My system is one such nano-grid.

Also, please share your actual experience on the Felicity LiFeP04 Energy Storage battery packs. My inquiry with kiekie1 has drawn blanks so far as to availability and pricing. The Ali-Baba website is also sparse on detail. It seems to be 75% usable kWh. Am worried that they are using second-life batteries from retired electric vehicles?

Excellent. Thanks a million. The idle consumption is quiet serious. I have a friend who is currently using one and he complained about the idle consumption. I don't know whether I will be able to get the fan patch in Ibadan. I will hate to have fan problem with a year old inverter. I have been running an outback for 6 years now.
