Calculation of share price after dividend and bonus is very simple. If UBA declares 3 for 1 also a dividend of N1 and close price on qualification date is N10. 1. Adjust for the dividend from the share price. 10-1= 9 price exdiv is N9 2. the curent value of 3 becomes 9x3= N27 3. Since with the addition of 1 share plus the existing 3 make for 4 number shares. 4, The value for 3 = 27 in (2) the value for 4 ( Owned and bonus ) would still remain 27, the number of unit owned has changed but the value would be constant to (what was previously owned before the bonus) 5, The value for 3 would now be divided by 4, to give per unit new share value. in this case 27/4 = 6.75 per share. |

gabscity: Better late than never. I love his honesty by saying he has taken position. It's like begging a woman. Most people feel it's a sign of weakness. But It's actually a sign you want to complete the days allocated to you on Earth, ask VCV for clarification. VCV will let you understand that even the holy book knows the extent of the fury of our ribs. A woman once eliminated an entire family of four including herself to punish her husband for cheating on her. He did not touch the man physically, not that she was not capable. 2 Likes

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by meshpips(m): 6:20am On May 28, 2020 |
RabbiDoracle: My recommendations are still very fine sir. Allow time tell the whole story. People have to be sucked in! If the market doesn't make 'em believe that the bulls are here, how then can they slaughter enough dumb money traders? Remember @fxuser observation about volume traded? That is a very big indication of an impending volatile move. I will try post a screenshot from a book shortly. Which you help you see how institutions play. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 6:24am On May 28, 2020 |
meshpips: The volume trade is huge because investors (like stcool and Chibuking81) are paying a premium (9 % to 10% high) to get a stock from those holding it. I expect this trend to continue. 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by meshpips(m): 7:29am On May 28, 2020 |
Let me show us a few things from my volume analytics : Last week closed at 16.95 while last week's VAP was 17.44 (this was why I said touching 17.44 will be the litmus test for Zenith as at last week). For this new week, the VAP is at 18.08 We still have about 509 million units of stock in the net sell direction as shown in the K column. If price touches 18.08 this week then closes with a bearish body next week, Zenith will sell back to the 11.90 low (maybe lower). 18.08 is the price level to watch for this week. 1 Like

A few weeks ago, Zenith spent some days @ bus-stop N12 and then bus-stop N15. Those that didn't buy will be regretting now. While those that sold at those prices will be regretting also. This was during the panic of Covid-19, low oil price and doom and gloom panic for Nigerian economy. |

RabbiDoracle: The VAP values are calculated at the end of every period (weekly in this case). Anytime the week ends higher than its opening price, the VAP value will be re-adjusted to the upside. Take note of the IF . . . THEN statement For last week it was "IF price touches 17.44 then closes bearish in the coming week" but price did not touch 17.44 Now this week, the IF . . . THEN statement is "if price touches 18.08 then closes bearish next week" Be patient to allow the condition get fulfilled and watch what happens thereafter. My confidence lies in the fact that we still have over 500 million units excess sell for this stock. Make we dey watch. |

meshpips: Are you aware that the IF... THEN statement is on someone's money? Another thing I noticed in your excel attachment is that there had been a recovery in the "cum NV" (cumulative net volume, I guess) from - 970m units to - 509m units. At a point it could become positive. Is there no way you can foresee a building volume to the positive side? How do you compute this? Don't you think that is where your interpretation is wrong? 1 Like |
