jpmoriarti:Hogwash. What is with u people and increasing testing capacity so that the figures can increase, don't be such a dummy. It's only in Nigeria that Covid patient are asking what the difference between Covid and malaria, it's only in Nigeria that Covid patient are protesting, it's only in Nigeria that Covid is being forced on a state, it's only in Nigeria that an isolation center that is supposed to be containing 800 patient was empty. Open your eyes bro. You're the Covidiot here. The government have you fooled. This government has done nothing but lie to you since its inception and it's now that they won't lie to you? If you are so desperate to see the figures skyrocket then give yourself and your families up for testing and stop disturbing us with useless statistics on Nairaland. NCDC are recording just 105 discharged patients meanwhile borno state alone discharged 135 yesterday. Use your brain. Something isn't adding up and NCDC keeps losing credibility each day and questions are being raised each day. this is why they are lots of doubters Covidiot are the ones that government have fooled Either you're a paid NCDC supporter or you're just plain gullible, either way you're not to be taken serious or even heard for that matter 4 Likes 1 Share |

boookworm:The numbers are going up everyday whether you like it or not. If you wish, do not believe the government. If you wish, do not protect yourself from the virus. Go about your business as though nothing is happening, simply because the government is lying to you and you have all the facts to prove that. When you eventually contract the disease, you will know it is real. Let me repeat myself. There is no cure for corona virus. If a patient that has the virus, presents symptoms similar to malaria, they'll be treated with malaria drugs. If another patient presents symptoms similar to pneumonia, they'll be treated as such. If it is cough, they'll be treated as such etc. This is because there's no cure yet. It doesn't mean those people were suffering from malaria, pneumonia or cough etc. I hope this is clear enough explanation. Whether you like it or not, over 350k people worldwide who said happy new year back in January, have all died from the disease today while over 5million people are currently showing degrees symptoms. Nobody is praying for the disease to keep going up. But we have to be proactive and tackle the issue that is currently crippling the world. Being in denial or believing everything you see on social media is naive and blatant show of ignorance. |

boookworm:Figures are in fact deflated due to so many reasons, chief among them are inadequate testing infrastructures , poor surveillance network e.t.c i understand the premises for such assertion but if you've critically consider the number of cases obtainable in less populated, better organized and hygienic countries, you will quit following those trains that reason with their butt And if you are of the thought pattern, who doesn't know someone that knows someone that has covid-19 then my prayer is that your loved ones doesn't get infected till you quit being dogmatic 1 Like |

jpmoriarti:U know the problem with calling someone ignorant when they don't believe what you believe in? Is that they could easily call you the same. And here I am saying you are the ignorant one here. And I'm not oblivious to the fact that the virus is real and present in Nigeria so I'm very careful and practice personal hygiene and follow the WHO preventive measures.. All I'm saying is that NCDC are not being truthful with those figures.. Until you start showing me people that tested positive or the number of tests done per state, don't convince me otherwise . Adios 1 Like |

boookworm:You sound very educated. More reason why you should be more careful with the kind of information you give out. Believe it or not, lots of people take these comments such as yours, as gospel. NCDC does not need to show you anything before you accept their results. They're representation of government. Whether you like the government or not, they're a representative of the people. Sincerity or a lack of it, does not diminish the enormous work the health workers are putting to help flatten the curve. Disparaging comments such as yours, puts all their work to ridicule. I'll be glad if you can join voices to encourage people to not disregard the efforts the government are making to keep people safe. The disease is still real. I went out yesterday and was appalled to see a very handful of people wearing protective face masks and much fewer, observing there distancing. These are some people who read some of these comments here and get emboldened that the virus no longer pose a threat. 1 Like |

Germany, South Korea etc got it right from the very onset. Outside genuine cure and acceptable vaccine, there are no short cuts. . |

boookworm:If you add the number os 135(Borno), 29(Lagos) 5(Enugu) 11(Edo) and other states like Oyo etc that didn't mind to announce their own.. We should be getting around 250 discharge. Also, check the number of sample tested, NCDC claimed it ommited out 7222 samples from the chart, everything does not add up. How comes Kano, Bauchi, Gombe and Borno all of a sudden start having 2,3,5 cases per day... How comes Edo start having 25+ cases after APC announced direct primaries for the state. Time shall tell, but in the main timme, they should please open up the economy. |

Ur talking of risks after recovery amidst every other thing thats wat u want to base ur argument on, so since dec that the virus began and some people have recovered from it in china, when are u expecting their relapse n their possible mutation into zombies since dats what ur waiting for. Ikio: Continue believing NCDC. Few days to Edo state primaries their cases start to skyrocket. Kano state of all states are now recording 6 cases in two days. Covid is being imposed on kogi. |
