Can't you see it's not adding up? Your mum can't have him and give him out at birth if he is your brother, meaning they lied to both of you.
At what age were you told he was adopted? It seems he was tough on them, they quickly baled out by telling him he was adopted, no wonder he was shipped off to seminary school. How old was he when he left the house? You need to find out from him how your step mum treated him the little time he stayed in the house.

For now, we should not tag the woman as demon.
Maybe her aim of trying to push her to a seminary school was to in sure that she never gets married in order to conceal their plan of who are mom is. This could trigger psychological depression on op now that she got to know as an adult. She can only handle this with maturity.

The best option should be for op to first get herself together and try to see if she can be able to get some kind of substantial evidence that could help her get to know who her true mom is and where she is right now. I truly believes that she is still alive somewhere and not dead hence their action. If was to be dead, they will open up to her.

With God, she will achieve whatever her dreams are by getting to meet her true mom.

It's painful growing up without knowing who one's mom is. She should just play smart to get substantial evidence or a clue in order to get a breakthrough. We should all have her in our prayers.

She is not a demon; its my choice to remain single not hers. Its also honourable for her to want me serving God as my only career after all the mother of Samuel in the Bible gave him up to the service of God... You will make a heck of a great sister . Thanks.

Go straight to your village... Meet an elderly someone....Narrate your ordeals..All you need is your mums name (surname) if possible. Then start tracing her identity... Look up for similar surname on social Media... Ask questions!!! Am sure there would be an answer Somewhere!

Hello dear, it is really sad reading through all you have been dealing with. I could never fully comprehend it. I read through hoping it will end up as a fairy tale. So far you've been very strong but you will still need a lot more strength as well as patience. You've gotten so much advise so far and I would not want to cloud your judgement by adding too much. Hope you sleep better now a days? How are you coping with the psychological stress? Please listen to the guy who spoke about depression. May not be the case with you but most times people don't realise they fell into depression until they begin to come out of it. Was hoping to check on you with the other issues of neighbors and accommodation but I'm overwhelmed by this.
