Auba will leave. Arsenal can't compete. He will be a good replacement. As for Laca... I doubt he will last at Arsenal.

Players from the league won't get call-ups to the NT.
how true is this, because it wasn't stated and their only limit is the CAF

Good you have mentioned Private INVESTORS. So looking at it from the investment angle. Is the Nigerian league viable enough for you to sink Billions of naira in buying over a club plus it's facilities? What is the expected Return on Investment?

All of the teams in the NPFL are failed projects except for Enyimba (thanks to former governor of abia state, Kalu Orji) he took them outside the shores of the country and dorminated twice, till this day he still wears their sports gears. The teams should focus on renovating their stadiums and there should be other sports companies other than supersports because they ruin the game with their coverage and their wack commentators. Finally, there is a lot to do, and imo this private league is a welcome development.

As if they have been able to get their quota in the current national team. If the NT coaches see a good player in the proposed league, NFF would say no to the coach?

junnyjake:

The NFF would see their decision to create a league of theirs as one done in bad blood, they'd make sure these players are denied the opportunity to turn up for the NT.

I have no doubt that Osimhen will adapt to my club. I've seen his style and he will be a ferocious beast in attack if he has a player like Ozil and Saka at his back and side. Whoever wants to talk about adaptations can continue. No be tok dat one be.

I expect the side league to be so determined to set a better stanfard than the NPFL. Trust me, in no time, things will switch in their favour.

It can also die down as well.

Lol.

But for 20yrs now and this league is not still sinking like Titanic. It should be better than this for all i care.

Nigeria U-23 international who took part at the U-23 Afcon where we failed to secure an Olympic Football ticket, Blessing Muyiwa Olabiran AKA Benito made his debut today for Ukrainian Giants, Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier league. Played the final five mins. His side won 5-1.

He made 2 key passes. Passing accuracy 83.3 %. Dispossessed 13 times. Made 1 tackle. Had a shot off target.

Played 12 games for Randers. Started 6 and yet to bag a goal or an assist.

That's not the issue here and nobody is talking about what NFF has done over the years but likely legal implications of having another league beside NPFL.

Soon that will be the real Nigerian league

Both great men. Both qualified us for the World cup and remain the only indigenous coaches who did so for us.

Now I know and understand Keshi in particular did make some very questionable and corruption-laden decisions and actions towards the end of his reign as Super Eagles Head Coach but it doesn't erase the fact that he gave us all the last best feeling we ever had as Super Eagles fans, and keen followers/analysts of the beautiful game.

First and only African coach to qualify two African teams to the World cup. Won the Afcon for us as Player/Captain and as Coach.

2013 remains the last time we walked tall as Champions and Giants in African football. The awesome feeling we had then knowing we were the holders and the reigning champs. Took us to 2014 WC and could have done more if our selections weren't marred with mediocrity and corruption.

In all, we remember his greatness. His flaws cannot be ignored but we cannot ignore his greatness and great contributions to our Football either.

Rest on Big Boss. cry

Today is Former Super Eagles Number 1, Carl Ikeme's birthday and I cannot resist thinking what could have been had Leukemia not showed up and we had him at Russia 2018 and Afcon 2019.
Such a reliable pair of safe hands he was in his short time with The Super Eagles.

In all, I'm glad he is alive and still kicking after surviving the acute leukemia scare.

Have a good one Big Carl.

Here is just a few flashback moments to some of his top saves for Nigeria and Wolves.

The interesting thing about this training video is that Ndidi scored with his left foot while Iheanacho scored with his right foot
