My entry into Japaul is purely speculation...and I intend to hold.

Its just 1M units at today's price 0.27 worst case it goes back to 0.20

I would rather wait and see how events unfold..but wont sell!

Why not buy stock at least 50% of nsempa members and 50% of investing public can touch.
If Japaul is really good,it is suppose to have full liquidity at this time.one or two people probably ghost traders driving it for selfish interest.hmmmm you and Japaul.
No be today for Japaul......oooo

Those who were tempted quickly grabbed their copy at 20kobo and alighted at 30kobo that's the first wave for good.

Let's watch the second wave and the outcome for good or bad.......?

How did FO clear billions in debt from its books and pay N7.00 dividend?

What accounting principle made that possible?

I think I need to look for FO annual reports and post so we can look at it again.

I don't know, could be caused by a one off income, sale of an asset, creative accounting etc, but it was obvious that the profit made was not sustainable by the business.

The rise of FO to N300 was due to manipulation and euphoria at the end of everything thing after Forbe rating the stock obeyed the law of gravity.

Same thing is happening with a company with 3% free float, dividend yield of 4.3% and dividend payout ratio of 100%. The core Investor will reduce his 97% total holdings to about 90% in order to comply with NSE directive, but he will do everything possible to sell at a high premium.

Make Una chill, na Naija we dey. You said more than this during diamond time.
Don't know why you didn't see the positive aspect of this issue......but never worry yourself, worst scenario, JP will go back to 20kobo.....at least that's what you all wanted.
Since those that bought at N14 didn't die, those who bought at 30kobo will surely be alive too if it goes back to 20kobo. tongue

For all the negative sentiment, the price might still go up.
If you are comfortable with the stock, just do your thing your own way without looking for validation from anybody..

Today GUINESS closedc@N18 but our bids at N17 didn't get filled so 2moro we move it down to N16.50k junction.

For the NEWBIES the month of JUNE is for SUMMER HOLIDAY when people go to catch fun at beaches. So nothing really PROPELS a general UPWARD stock price MOVEMENT at this time of the year.

SMART TRADERS will mostly swoop on the MARKET at BARGAIN PRICES towards MONTH END in anticipation H/Y results that will start ROLLING out from mid JULY.

BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!

GUINNESS NIGERIA PLC

Poor operating performance; downgrade to Sell

In its recently released 9M 2020 results, Guinness Nigeria (Guinness) reported a 5.3% y/y decline in Revenue to N96.0bn from N101.4bn in 9M 2019. On q/q basis, Revenue d eclined 33.2% to N27.7bn in Q3 2020 (Jan - Mar 2020) from N41.4bn in Q2 2020. Pressured by higher excise as well as closure of on-trade channels in the final week of the quarter, the compans performance in Q3 2020 (historically one of the best quarters for Guinness) was weak with Q3 2020 Revenue and Net Income declining 17.6% and 97.2% respectively when compared with Q3 2019.

We cut our Revenue forecast for the rest of the year as on-trade channels remained shut for the first 5 weeks of Q4 2020 (Apr - Jun 2020) while ceremonial activities remain banned in many states in the country. Furthermore, while we expect lower barley price would provide some support to Gross Profit, we expect Opex and Finance cost to remain significant pressure points in Q4. We forecast a loss in the final quarter of the year which would pressure FY 2020e Net Income lower.

We cut our target price for Guinness Nigeria to N15.08/s from N32.12/s previousl y which implies a 21.5% downside to Wednesdays closing price of N19.20/s. Thus, we downgrade our recommendation to a SELL from HOLD. We have revised down our profit lines steeply and lower pricing multiples in our relative valuation models given the companys poor operating performance relative to peers. We arrive at our target price using a combination of the single stage FCFF model and Relative valuation in the ratio 60:40 with the greater weighting on the FCFF methodology.

COPIED/CSL.

Definitely not looking for validation, not my style.
Just looking for in-depth analysis on the final result. I also don't want us to miss out should something good be coming from that angle. That's just it.
Only that Jegede is playing by the rules, if it were to be coyboys like Otedola, they would have manipulated this price so much, to at least N5, even if it will obey the law of gravity later later. grin

As for FO, people made fortune with it before finally obeying the so called law of gravity, made a lot rich and richer.

Thing is, this waiver favours Japaul any way we look at it. Japaul can still make use of the fund to launch into other related biz
Will Access sell dregers to cover for the debt in case of default? Or do they want to go into dredging biz?
Japaul's problem is management related, thats my understanding of it.

Sir your position is understandable, you're an investor, a long termer.
Traders wouldn't see some of those comments from your point of view. It goes up we sell and move to the next. grin
Risks, wrong calculations, etc are imvolved, we take it gallantly and move on. grin
FO started from N5 or thereabout, moved pass 50, 100, 200, 250......a trader would have made a kill before the cards came crumbling. grin

JIJO is very good, just referring to how it feels when a JIJO trade turns to a long term investment due to situations beyond the trader's control and calculations

It was not only traders that exited, Investors also exited because the figures and sentiments that push it to N250 were not sustainable
