18 yrs old Attacking midfielder, Faustino Anjorin, a highly rated Anglo-Nigerian kid, has committed to Chelsea on a senior five years contract. Eligible for England and Nigeria. He was capped in official games at U-17 level and would need a switch. Born to a Nigerian Dad and English Mom. Before committing his future to Chelsea, the lad was attracting keen interest from Dortmund, Man City and Man Utd but obviously seeing how the likes of CHO, Tammy, Reece James, Mason Mount and Billy Gilmour have made the step up to Chelsea's first team, he feels he can take the chance too. Once said he chose Chelsea's academy partly due to the presence of Mikel Obi who he admired as a much younger lad. Another lad who time may bring our way. 4 Likes

Kog45: Yes that was the game. Experience won against Youth that night. Come to think of it that we scored first in an AFCON final and still lost 3-1. 1982 marked the end of the 70s Eagles era Which peaked at 1980 with the winning of the AFCON. Our outing in 1982 in Libya was a disaster with a group stage exit. This 84 team was the beginning of a new era with some of the players still playing up till the 90s. Keshi, Yekini and Rufai. A year after (1985) was when Nigeria won the U16 World cup in China and finished 3rd at the U21 WC in Russia. A new believe was born in Nigeria. That also marked the beginning of our dominance in Youth football with some of those Youth players progressing to the Green Eagles, a progression which peaked at the 1994 World cup. (10 years after that 1984 rebuilding process) 4 Likes 1 Share |

jihday: Not all times he is defensive against opponents he perceives are stronger than his sides. However, a lot of times, he was on the offensive. However, my love for Queiroz was long before the Guardiola era. I used to be among the do what you can to win. The drastic wholeheartedly support for thorough offensive play finally happened under Pep's Barcelona reign. I used to also like Mancini a lot. But later, although my love for them is still strong, my loyalty now lies fully with offensive-possessive play. |

andrewbaba44: At least he has done better in the EPL. You wonder why Man Utd paid such money for a Golden boy winner? A player that has scored 8 goals against EPL 'big six' in his last 10 starts'. Martial has been inconsistent, true, so has United. |

TheLoneCitizen: Is this not martial best season if I may ask ? Yes martial has done so well but before he was purchased he was overrated abeg ,maybe you be Man U fan so you no go gree Has martial ever scored 15 Epl goals ? The stats he used in winning the golden boy is not impressive You are defending him with Epl big six when only Liverpool and mancity have been class and the rest are just playing average or a little above average What’s special scoring against Chelsea spurs and arsenal ? |

andrewbaba44: He has played on the wings predominantly, this is his first season as a striker. In truth, Man Utd has been the problem this past few years, from DI Maria, To Depay, To Sanchez even Lukaku. I don't want to defend Martial because I don't like him or Utd. I'm an Evertonian. |

RAHEEM STERLING QUESTIONS WHY WHITE EX-PROS GET MANAGERIAL JOBS OVER BLACK COUNTERPARTS Raheem Sterling has demanded to know why white ex-pros get better managerial jobs than their black counterparts. Sterling took the game to task after its claims that Black Lives Matter by asking why there is still no black presence at the top. He said: “I always refer back to football, the coaching staff you see around clubs. I’ll give a perfect one. There’s Steven Gerrard, your Frank Lampards, you have your Sol Campbells and you have your Ashley Coles. "All had great careers, all played for England. At the same time, they’ve all respectfully done their coaching badges to coach at the highest level and the two that haven’t been given the right opportunities are the two black former players.” There are currently only six black managers out of the 91 in English football’s top four divisions. There are still zero black referees A string of clubs have been criticised for posting black squares as part of a social media protest last week and for issuing messages of solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement when the English game remains riven with institutional bias. Sterling, speaking on BBC Newsnight, has become the latest player to insist change needs to come at the top if the needs of black players are to be properly addressed in the game. He added: “There’s something like 500 players in the Premier League and a third of them are black and we have no representation of us in the hierarchy, no representation of us in the coaching staff. “There’s not a lot of faces that we can relate to and have conversations with. And I do think, with these protests that are going on, it’s all well and good just talking. “But it’s time that we need to, have conversations to be able to spark debates and not just debates, because we’ve done a lot of talking, to actually start implementing change.” https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/raheem-sterling-questions-white-ex-22159209 You can get a better explanation here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52972621 8 Likes 2 Shares

DancingSkeleton: An average club with a big-team mentality. In the next two season they'll break into the top four. Everything is just right about them. It also makes winning sweeter, when you support a club that wins all the time, where is the joy? Like when they almost beat United. Been supporting fully since 2017 when they were awful. Now they have Ancelotti, Sir Iwobi and Marcel Brands. 1 Like |

So Osimhen's agent, Okolo, all but confirming he is moving to Napoli. “I can say that, for now, Osimhen hasn’t agreed anything with Napoli or another club,” Okolo said. “I can also deny that he dreams of going to the Premier League, I don’t know why [the press] says certain things. Naples is a fantastic city and Napoli are a very good team. “I’m always honoured whenever I hear these links, but for now there’s no deal in place, even if negotiations with them are ongoing. “He wants to play regularly, we’re not going to repeat certain bad experiences from the past. “The Napoli fans are fantastic, their stadium is beautiful. I can only speak well of Naples and its team.” Okolo continued, adding that Naples may in fact be the “right destination” for his client. “The real problem with Italy is racism,” the agent said. “I know it happens all over Europe, but in Italy it happens a bit more often compared to elsewhere. “I know Napoli fans aren’t racist, I have the video of them wearing masks for Koulibaly. “Although Napoli fans aren’t racist, many others are. Naples may be the right destination for Victor, but he still must make a decision.” Very good move in my opinion. |
