my guy that dude was lying I've to stop him. I see all positive stuff and it feels some other countries see the good things we're doing.

I spent a week at UG and I was thoroughly impressed. Although the South Africans in the group were less impressed lol. I also went down to Cape coast and Mann that was another beauty.

Your president gave a speech at the event and impressed us all even further when he fluently switched from English to French and then to Portuguese.

Ghana is blessed.

I have been enjoying the various pictures of some of the universities in Nigeria posted on Nairaland, and I have decided to post pictures of my alma mater the University Of Ghana which I believe has one of the most beautiful campuses in West Africa with a lot Greenery and infrastructure with an environment conducive for effective learning and teaching.

Located on and around the hills of Legon (Translated to knowledge Hill in the Ga language of Ghana ) Just some few Kilometers from Accra city center UG has always been the pride of Ghana producing some of the most prominent people and leaders in Ghana.
Ghana must go

This man sef, is it those one story building private universities in Ghana that you are counting. Asides from Kwame Nkruma and University of Ghana, and maybe Takoradi poly and Ho poly the rest are glorified secondary schools. If you are a Nigerian and you believe Ghana is better than us thats your cup of tea. Let them show other universities and by the way Nigeria has more than enough universities. 36 states with at least 3 universities plus private universities and you say it's not enough?

My friend don't laugh because you are disgracing yourself.
How can you live in a Country and there is ''no count'' of the number of Schools in your country?
Are you disgracing Nigeria or what? that your Country don't have the list of Accredited institutions in your country?chaii, this is embarrasing.

Slynation:

Oh you can even count them self... Lol grin please take down this argument you don't stand a chance of getting any point at all...

10 Public Technical Universities,
48 Teacher Training Schools
30 Public Nursing Training Colleges and 16 Private Nursing training Colleges
5 Public Agriculture Training Colleges
Other public and Private institutes/Colleges and

The whole university in Ghana is not up to 20, compared to Nigeria that has over 150 universities (Federal/State). don't get me wrong I'm not using that as an excuse but the circumstances that surrounds Our Educational sector. Our government is not ready to pump money into educational sector and I don't see that coming soon. Moreover, it's not about the building, it's about the content. Ghana students can't stand Nigerians students anywhere in the world, concerning the buildings, we're getting there.

Yeah, that’s what failures tell themselves.

It’s like saying the ground is not important for walking. Yes, the legs are important, but you can’t walk on air.

Infrastructures are important when rating a school. Deal with it

Well, he's actually right. The infrastructure of school has little to do with how highly ranked a university is. The most recognised ranking agencies - ARWU, Times Higher Education and QS - don't include infrastructure as a major criterion in assessing universities' strengths.

That said, only one Ghanaian university is highly ranked in Africa compared to more than three Nigerian universities - CU comes top from Nigeria.
