They're indeed dark-skinned but they share more genetically with the dravidians & other Asians in general than they do with African blacks.

Fyi, Dravidians, Tamils are linguistically Niger Congo speakers. They can communicate DIRECTLY with the Cameroonian (NOT LIBERIAN!) Bassa tribe and the Yunu Manj aborigines in the Arafura swamp.

More steps At Diversification.....Mkenya will not like this grin

The world Largest Fertilizer plant(built by the Dangote group) has been completed and Fertilizer is Expected To hit Market in September...We are also expected to generate $1bn annually as revenue and also meet local demand.

Totally support this move. MMIA needs to be brought down as soon as possible. The Nigerian air force fighter jets have their work cut out.

That is called splitting of hairs - and even if we allowed you it - you can see the multiplier can be listed in one page.

What you call Ghanian companies - including SpringField - is akin to claiming Dangote getting richer is akin to Nigeria getting richer.

Those are individual players - but does 30M Ghanian feel the oil and gold industry? Beyond the small taxes it pays. Nope.

They feel COCOA more - and yet Cocoa contribution to Ghana GDP is minuscule compared to Gold and Oil

Just30:
Yes it does

For instance, 1.5 millon Ounces of gold is mined by Ghanaian gold mining companies.

2. All large scale mining companies outsource most of their mining services activities to Ghanaian companies like E&P and others whom they pay 500million dollars to each year for a lot of their mine development activities. Check the numbers of mining companies and you will see how much is going to Ghanaian companies.

3. cost of operation to pull one tonne of gold is 680 dollars. Multiply 680 by 5 million ounces and you will get the amount of money spent in Ghana.

4. All the large gold mines combine makes only 2 billion dollars in profit after tax of which some dont even have whole ownership.

For oil, All of the gas at Tullow fields goes to Ghana at no cost. The ownership structure is such that GNPC owns i think 15 or 20% of their oil production before they gets to pay taxes. Most of their service provision contracts are awarded to Ghanaian companies.

ENI gas field is 30% owned by GNPC and Explorco
Springfield gasfield is wholly owned by the Ghanaian company. (the largest)
Aker Energy field is 10% owned by GNPC which they can increase by the agreement. (It was dropped from 30% to give the company more lead way to explore)
Now go and spin your head.

That makes the Tz one superior stretching over 400 kms. Don't forget the massive Ethiopian electric railway stretching to Djibouti. Senegalese are building short 36, 15, 10 km connections. Honestly, not much to talk about in the grand scheme of things. Compare theirs to the Addis light rail.

But it doesn’t because we are talking about intercity railways if you want to go there Nigeria is building three different railway projects of 300km, and guinea is building one of 200km, mind you nigeria also ready has 190km of intercity and we have 48 now add, 300+200+190+48 and your lucky I’m not adding ghana

More steps at diversification...

Another $2bn fertilizer plant in Nigeria expected to be completed Next year with about $1.1bn investment from World bank...

This is probably Africa's second largest Fertilizer plant behind Dangote's.

Nigeria should be adding 1,000kms of the railway - not 200kms every 10yrs.

Hello hater it's been completed..The urea fertilizer is expected to hit the market in September..go open that link and read again or better still read the bolded if you are to lazy to open a simple link..

He said, “Steam blowing is going on. Once the steam blowing is over, we will start the turbines, hopefully in the next 10 days. And once the turbines start, it means we have power; so we can start commissioning the plant.

“We are quite confident that we will be able to move forward without much impact. Once the power comes in, within 90 days, we can have urea in the market. It is a tight schedule but I think we can achieve that.” a

Precisely. Manufacturing esp is the holy grail because it has a multiplier of 10.
Kazikazi:
You are correct.and again..
Ghana don't earn 30% from gold exports! The most they can get is 5%.
In TZ,we have been fighting with barrick gold and we ended p with 16%.What about Ghana which can't raise a voice against those London SE listed companies?

Yes agriculture is more beneficial together with manufacturing and tourism. These are sectors which employs a huge numbers of folks and the benefits are massive. Countries which are progressing on those 3 sectors are usually appear more developed and have a high life standard

Better not add Ghana with their gwongoro trains grin grin I thought we were talking of electric rail only. Nigeria doesn't have electrified railways. In West Africa only Senegel has a tiny miniscule stretch of electric railway. In East Africa it's a whole different story because we have the Ethiopian - Djiboutian electrified railway stretching for more than 750 Kms, and now the Tz railway stretching for more than 400 Kms once complete. That brings it to a total of over 1000 Kms of electrified rail in only two EA countries. A massive blow already to WA. When Kenya decides to electrify her own we're talking of over 1500 Kms of electrified rail.

Ignoring your drivel..how many km or railway network is Kenya adding annually...
You can't even add 390km or pa Ed road network anually and you are talking rails.

Since you dont know

The Mining industry employs a million people and that is 4.5 million secondary beneficiaries.

10% direct contribution to the Ghanaian economy is not a small value chain and cascading effects.

30 million Ghanaians benefits directly by a reduced tax burden and it associated beneficiary extensive social services which they enjoy.

Cocoa has a less reach on the Ghanaian economy as compare to all the other crops in the value chain of the Agric sector.
there are 100,000 cocoa farmers.

It is always good to have various kinds of organizations who have the financial muscles to monopolise certain aspect of your economy before corporation of foreign origin does.

That is where SPRINGFIELD, GNPC,EXPLORCO and Ghana Gas comes in.
All of which are institutions with enough financial clout to own the Ghanaian gas sector.

They all started in 2016 for us to be building 500 in four years is good, than in 2021 we’ll start doing 1200km Lagos- Calabar and 970km port harcourt-maiduguri so yes we are building 1000 of Km of railways any more questions

The electrification process is supposed to start in 2023 once all the main ones are completed, becuase we need to wait for mambilla, and AKK to be completed before we start that will out Nigeria’s total energy generation at 21 000MW and they will use 300MW of that on the railway projects. So that is about 2500kms of electric railway, one country has more than a whole region. Ha

Start by building roads in Mauritania before you think of rail.
