spotted the error but the challenge isn’t for me

My bros them, please my 06 ml350 fuel gauge isn't working. It's just stuck. The meter doesn't move up at all even with a full tank. What could be the issue as it triggered my check engine light.

1.the fuel gauge sensor will not trigger Check engine.(check fuses in the rear SAM 1st)
2. There are 2 fuel gauge sensors in your fuel tank...one measures from half to full while the other measures from empty to half.
3.one of them is acting up, have them checked by a competent person.... sometimes cleaning them will make them to work again.
4. if cleaning doesn't solve the problem, you will have to change the sensors.
5. If after changing the sensors and problem continues you will need to look at the rear SAM for burnt fuses or the rear SAM is faulty.
Pls don't fear it's an easy inexpensive fix

2012 c300 4matic says "auto lights malfunction". Atimes rear light dont turn off even after car is parked and locked or they dont even come on at all. Pls wats remedy?

u could be right. But if SAM, from experience, a lot of other things would be affected. Horn, wiper, trafficator, fuel gauge etc.

Rear SAM has nothing to do with horn, wipers but handles all the rear electrical components. It could also be a park brake switch malfunction or a fuse/relay malfunction.

I once had a bad SAM in c240, horn and wipers were affected along with the other things I mentioned. Replacing it rectified all of them.

yea. First time I heard about this Samuel in Benz and so expensive. They usually don't miss it out in wharf when it comes to ML

ML W164 rear SAM is 120k. Don't be surprised when it's the exact unit removed from the car that will be the replacement unit.
