Remove or reduce high taxes...for businesses to thrive. .too many bottle necks.. too many regulatory bodies. Will give an example. I know of someone who wanted to do business and he was told to open a current account so as to be able to pay his VAT. Somewhere along the line, he was required to register with SCUML (a part of EFCC) to get his current account. SCUML refused to approve his documents for his current account to be open. The guy just closed the business. WHAT KIND OF COUNTRY IS THAT??!! |

The first thing I would do is to pin the maximum number of children a couple can have at 3. After 3, either husband or wife must undertake compulsory birth control methods. Anyone who feels like they need more children (especially poor families) must give tangible reasons and make sure that sufficient resources are made available for their children in the case of death. This Will curb the ballooning of the country's population and allow for the management and harnessing of the already overwhelming population. Every other thing Will follow after that. |

tevinsolt:You try. But your agenda isn't far reaching enough. You might be good for my vp though. I will be cunning and skillful. I will use the first year to entrench deeply my root and and buy the youths loyalty to my cause. Then I will start my craze. I have seen that many government policies are not really taking care of the simple but necessary day to day activities and need of the populace. Hence, I will start by fixing electrical power supply . I will make the prepaid metre mandatory and available for every household. The populace will get value for whatever they are purchasing, data, TV subs and electricity will be 'pay has you use'. This will eliminate the feeling of being cheated that do result to depression. It will also make the companies in charge of this services to sit up and make there services appealing to people. eg if you don't get light, you don't pay, consequentially, power holding companies don't get salaries. U get? I will then do a thorough and sincere data collection of the populace. I will get to know the real numbers of Nigeria, there religion, tribes, gender, age, morbidity and mortality rate. Or how can a father really take care of his household, if he doesn't really know the number of his children? Then I will make our border more secure. *tge population of each tribes will determine the states you have and the representatives you have at the different federal houses. This will encourage equity. TACKLING THE CURRENCY PROBLEM AND INFLATION: I will skillfully and tactfully pursue the west Africa intra-economy emancipation. I will make it look more like the euro market. I will take advantage of our influence and population. (I know fully well that strong countries like France will try to undermine this). I WILL NEVER BREAK NIGERIA, but I will pursue real federalism. Different regions will enjoy to high degree what they produce. Others with limited means though will be helped.we will find a balance, not the type of sharing mode we have now though. This will encourage hard work and ingenuity. INFRASTRUCTURE: I will build durable roads all over taking into consideration various soil, composition of different regions. I will focus also on water transportation. I will dredge the major rivers and the Chad basin. I will construct canals too. I will focus more on railway line though. I will find a system of maintaining this infrastructure. Take for example road, I will make sure I tax every user of a particular road, and whatever I get will be used to maintain it, down to the paints. ECONOMY: nigeria isn't doing well in tax collection. I will tax everything; chewing gum, ogogoro etc. I will do it reasonably and shrewdly though. Population control; I will discourage abortion but give people sex education. EDUCATION: I will radically uproot the system we have now, reanalyse and reform education. I will give prominence to practicals (if you are being taught atoms can be split, you have to be able to see an example and relate with it. If you are being taught diffusion, you don't just know it in the head, you know it in the heart too, by seeing how it really works. This will make learning real and easy, not abstract). Teaching and learning of our history too will come to the forefront. I will encourage the knowledge and expertise of ICT. teachers and doctors will earn more than our politicians. I will make those two profession competitive *(and politics less entising. It will only attract people with real passion and love). This means those in that line-medicine and teachers, will undergo another schooling, reorientation and examination. Teachers course will not appeal to the dump of the societies again. INDUSTRIALISATION AND INNOVATION: I will tactfully encourage us patronizing our 'owns'. I will be careful so I don't look like trump that is pursuing a closed economy. I will give out grants and introduce competition on innovation and give huge prices to people that invent things (this is how the west got to develop planes 100s of years ago) or that clone perfectly an already available useful technology from abroad.(this is how China was able to develop at the neck breaking space they did). SECURITY and CORRUPTION : I will encourage local polising. I will also introduce a check and balance. In fact, their will be check and balances and auditing for all institutions. This means, their will be people polising our police, military force, managers of industries etc. Those policing will be policed too. REGULATION: there will be bodies regulating our schools, hospitals and companies. They will look into things like abuse and workers right. Seeking redress at court will be cheap, enticising and accessible. You will be able to sue company like MTN and DSTV if they cut your #2 and get #20000 as compensation. This will create jobs for our lawyers. Government will have bodies of boards that will ensure even private companies are being managed well, they will also have the power to take over floundering companies. This will make sure companies do not go moribund. JOB CREATION: I will take all the jobs in the car parks, ticket people,....menial jobs and give it to the people that went to school. If you must do any job, even boy boy for an igbo master, you must be educated. Why? This will make everybody be able to represent the country properly to outsiders, because it's these people-police, market people and 'agberos' -that people meet on daily basis. It will also ensure power don't belong to stupid people. So, if you create a company and you are not educated, you must employ somebody educated to manage it and be the face of it. This will end the 'education na scam' shameful slogan. I HAVE PLANS FOR ALLT THIS OUR TRADITIONAL RULERS CAUSING PROBLEMS IN OUR POLITICS, BUT I WILL PUT IT IN THE COOLER FOR NOW. SO LET ME ASK, HAVE YOU SEEN SUCH A WOULD BE PRESIDENT IN AFRICA, LIKE ME BEFORE? 2 Likes |

well for me I start by regionalizing our yearly budget. By DAT I mean out of our 54.billion dollar budget, I take like 35 billion for a year and invest it into 2 geopolitical zones fully. For example out of 35 billion 17.5 goes to SE and NW for year. SE has 5 states. I will choose only 3 cities in each se for fully investment like infrastructure human capital: loans etc If u do the calculation that means each city gets a least 2,7 trillion naira investment 4 a year. Do the same to NW then next year choose another 2 zones like SW and SS. this way in three years the 6 zones are covered. |

I will first of all look for ways to mann the northern and southern borders so as to stop aliens from coming freely into the country undocumented . Then conduct a full national identification data base of all citizens with thier finger print .Mechanism will also be put in place to select aliens from citizens . Secondly it will be focus on power. A ban on Generator will be put in place and it sales will be outlawed for 10yrs.with a stiff penalty on defaulters both in the black market .This will discourage saboteurs from killing our power sector . Revamp the judicial system.persecute all corrupt judges and Dismantile the bereucratic process that has made our justice system a ghost of itself. It will be done in a way that the ordinary man on the street can seek justice when aggrieved . And many more . |

Living Standards. Governance should start at the lowest level (in the real sense),from community level to local govt level to state level and to national level. All class of residence should be stakeholders and contribute to the functionality and development of their society. Every citizen and resident should be identified and accounted for. All community leadership should have the database of their dwellers at all times. All landlords, business and services owners, employers are mandated to request for and forward the details of identity of their tenants and workers to the respective security base in their locality for proper documentation and accountability. All infrastructure and amenities needed at a community should be uniquely suggested, debated and agreed upon. Such decisions will be forwarded to the local government planning bodies, who will also forward it to the state level for proper consideration and incorporation into state masterplan. Each resident in a community will contribute in cash and kind to ensure the security, development, maintenance etc. of dwellers and public facilities in such community with regulatory body put in place to ensure compliance with agreed standards. National, State, local government, community based solutions to their unique challenges to ensure minimum set living standards are met. Currency Removal of N1000, N500, N200 denominations from circulation. All transactions that exceeds N5000 should be done electronically. Education Restructuring the current curriculum to include beginner level technical training in all fields at the senior secondary schools. Also, secondary school leavers should graduate into technical level schools in all fields including; technology, research, sciences, arts, sports etc. based on their talented areas being monitored and noted at their various secondary schools. This, I have noted is the most important level of education that we have relegated presently in Nigeria. Entry Requirements into universities from secondary schools level will/may be increased to allow exceptional students that have managed to acquire and surpassed technical level training, enter straight from secondary school into universities. Scholarship will be offered from technical and other higher level schools to top graduating students to encourage and reward excellence. Security Creation of security outfits and networks at all level with approval from people's representatives, establishing hierarchy and jurisdiction. Regulatory bodies at all security level to ensure standards are met. 1 Like |

The approach I will use is to run Nigeria as a conglomerate of companies and I as the President will be as the CEO of all the companies. Companies are set up to make profit at a low cost of production, less waste and optimum efficiency. How do I achieve this. The country will be restructured such that we practice true federalism. We will break the country into three entities instead of two which are Federal Government, State Government and Independent Entity. State Government The State Government will be autonomous. Each state will generate it's own money and remit a little percentage to the Federal Government. Each state is to run it's own state as a company. A company has database of its staffs so must a state do and link to the central federal database. A company provides it's own light, security, water, infrastructure etc so must each state do by their Governors. A company pays its staff money so must every state pay their workers. No federal allocation. And today any company that is not doing well can merge with another company so must a crawling state do and merge with its neighbour. Some states in that North can merge to be productive. Federal Government Running the Federal Government as a company. The first is to reduce cost. And the way to go about it is to reduce the staffs just like a company would do. So the legislative will be turned to a unicamera stuff having just parliament and with 2 representatives for each state and 1 from Federal totalling 73. Then the Federal will make use of SSS (a.k.a DSS) as the Police operating to enforce security law in the entire country to complement State Police. So no Federal Police. The Nigerian Army will be as it is with more equipment. Then things that has to do with Federal like CBN, NNPC and others will be as it is but with change in structure for effective operation. Independent Entities Now the third entity will comprise of the Judiciary, INEC, EFCC, ICPC and any other agency that needs to checkmate the Federal and the State. NSCDC will be scrapped, VIO will be Scrapped and any force that is handling Database or record of something will be scrapped. Central Database will suffice. So it means the Central Database will cater for all records of individual and be monitored both by state and federal. And even you WAEC result, your offences etc will be captured in a database. The Federal Government will work on infrastructure that benefits the entire country like inter state roads, rails, airport, sea ports and any capital projects or system like Refinery, The National Electiricity Grid, Border Infrastructure and so on. In running a company, the CEO does not joke with investors. We will encourage Private Partnership Programme for infrastructure development to support health, education, Electricity etc. So we will run a company that discourages the Government themselves doing business. A company cannot provide all her needs you contract somethings out. You bring in private businesses to supply somethings to your company. So the Federal Government and the State Government would follow this policy. Private business should be well encouraged and Private Partnerships with Government. In conclusion, once this is done and achieved in like 2 years. Nigeria will blow and join the super powers. That's what Nigeria needs now. Running it like a company. We are too diversified and big to be run together as Federal and also we are blacks.... not having totally independent agencies does not work for us. I forgot to mention this, there will be a University... more like a professional University and a consortium where leadership and induction of people into any of the independent agencies will be handled and thoroughly supervised by the Judiciary. And also there will be an agency in the independent entities that researches the needs, strength, weakness and problems of a state. So as a Governor before you are eligible to campaign, you will need to first get the documents of that state from the agency and look at it and list out some of the problems you want to solve and even your own identified ones and how you want to solve them. Then from there once you finish your 4 years tenure, the document will be reviewed and your work will be crossed check to see if you have done what you said you would do and if you fail just one... you will be disqualified to go for second term and also be charged to court to be punished by 1 year jail term or more depending on the depth. Thanks. 1 Like |
