This writer self! How can you say he was wrongfully convicted? The only reason why he was released is because of technicality in the case. The jugde, who convicted him, was not suppose to continue with his case because he was elevated, but instead of handsing off the case and handing over to another judge, he still went ahead with the case, and the supreme court faulted it. That does not mean he is not guilty. Which one is "wrongfully convicted" again?!!!

Then he is innocent until proven otherwise by a competent court of jurisdiction. Close your mouth ,or are you now a court?

Nigerians politicians are one of the most wicked set of people to come across. You guys really need to visit the so called government college, Umuahia. The students' hostel, classrooms, staff quarters etc are all in dilapidated shape. It really unfortunate for a school that has produced such an array of world class students doing well both locally, nationally and internationally. Gosh!

The visit may not be unconnected with Sen. Kalu’s recent release from the prison after his incarceration for about 6 months following his wrongful conviction by a Lagos Federal High Court.

If you see what this government college has now become you would wonder if their old boys are normal. Buildings without roofs, erosion ridden roads, very poor facilities in the school. To think a lot of great men including Nnamdi azikiwe passed through that school
