vickspider:

Hello mummies in the house, last year June 2019, after what seemed to be a perfect stress free pregnancy, I suddenly lost my son at 23 weeks due to pre-term labour/ incompetent cervix. We were in utter shock and disbelief.

To God be the glory exactly one year later before the anniversary of my first loss, I was blessed with a BFP, hubby and I are so thankful and elated but also scared and anxious due to this incompetent cervix gist. Please mamas in the house, I need an advise on the questions I should be asking my OB/Gyn, I have an appointment in the next few weeks and want to be prepared. Also please pray for me that I will carry my baby till term and deliver like an Hebrew woman.

Thank you.

Good evening Mamas, please does anyone know of a good diagnostic centre in Lagos where I can do hsg with local anaesthesia? I did an hsg last month at Union diagnostics Ikeja and it was a horrible experience for me. The radiologist was late, came like almost 2 hrs after I registered. Then the procedure was extremely painful. Almost 30mins of horror. Report came back indicating that I had SIN (Salpingitis Isthmica Nodisa), a kind of billateral tubal blockage. I want to do a repeat test to get a second opinion. I don't think I can go through the pain being conscious, so I need recommendations on where I can get it done and costs. Thank you

Why do you want to do another hsg so quickly after the one you have done? I would suggest you start some form of treatment immediately or go for laparascopy which is the definitive test for such kind of things. If i were you i will start serrapetase and use it for some months before i go for another hsg. Or better still go for laparascopy with hydotubation.. Look for a very good gyneacologist and discuss your options first.

Thank you. I just thought to get a second opinion before starting any form of treatment. I plan to do a laparoscopy if the diagnosis has been confirmed. I had done a test sometime in 2017 and the result was bilateral blockage, only for me to do another a month after, and both tubes were free. It can get really confusing at times, which is why I wanted to be very sure before taking next steps. I have been trying for 5 years, and my doc is of the opinion that I do a second IVF. I can't afford it right now, so I'm trying to explore an alternative option.

The world is evolving and yes everyone including couples waiting to conceive need a *SHIFT.*

What are you thinking? How are you thinking? What in your opinion is the cause of your delay in conception?
What have you done? What can you do? Who are you speaking to? What are they saying to you?

It's about time to have a mind *SHIFT!* Having a *SHIFT* means, to stop all forms of negative thoughts around you.

You are not defeated when you cannot have a child due to conception delays, you are defeated when you stop learning and preparing yourself for the various opportunities available to you.

It is TIME to get off the fence on this Journey! There is need to have a *SHIFT* Spritually, Maritally and Medically in your journey to Fruitfulness.

Take it from me my sister, if you have been trying to concieve for sometme now and you are not successful, your tubes may have issues. Unless there are other issues you have maybe sperm quality. More over if two hsgs gve conflictng results its best to go for laparascopy which is also the definitive test for tubes. Go with an experienced gyneacologist and also supplement yourself.

Thank you so much for this, God will bless you immensely.
sugah:

I became pregnant 1yr 6months after my myomectomy.
Due to the trauma I went through prior to the surgery, the matron of my hospital (she was also in the operating room and saw the over 30pieces of fibroids taken out) advised I don’t wait the usual 6months after surgery to start trying to conceive and also due to fear of them regrowing, I was in a frenzy to get pregnant. I took all sorts of supplements, failed stimulated/monitored cycles, failed IUI cycle etc. then my dh and I decided to go for IVF and I started ‘preparing my body for ivf’ when I conceived.

Do these and by Gods grace you shall testify.

Confirm your tubes are patent (HSG)
....sometimes the surgery might leave a little adhesion on your tubes. I did HSG twice after surgery to completely clear my tubes.

Confirm you are ovulating on your own
....TVS to monitor your cycle and ensure you are ovulating....you can also use ovulation test strips. Once you confirm you ovulate, input your details in your ovulation tracking app(I use FLO). If you aren’t ovulating, a hormonal assay will tell you which hormone is the culprit and treatment can be started. Although in some weird cases (like mine), your hormones will be fine but you wouldn’t ovulate. ..The combo of inositol/vitb6 helped me overcome that.

*Antibiotics Regimen*
...The hospital I contacted for the planned IVF had a policy of testing and treating infections (Especially chlamydia that had no symptoms but was surprisingly quite common) first and allowing you try to conceive naturally for 6months before proceeding for IVF treatment. I became pregnant less than 3 months after DH and I completed the drugs. But this is only if you’ve been trying to conceive for a while...I put it in asterisk cos im not sure how long you’ve been trying

Do a general lifestyle change (Both of you)
.....Eat healthier, stay hydrated, eat more fruits and vegetables, exercise

Take your prenatals (Both of you)
.....I’m assuming your DH’s swimmers are in top shape and you are ovulating, then any his/hers preconception vitamins is ok. Although confirm the folic acid Strength isn’t too high in yours.

RELAX!!!
....I know this is very difficult but believe me, it helps! As long as everything’s ok, relax and bd wether in your fertile window or not. If necessary and you are into stuff like that, get props to spice things up in the bedroom. Bullet wink and tinz solely for your pleasure wink wink..... water based lubes if you have issues with dryness..better at night so you don’t have to get up afterwards etc

I’d update the list if I remember anything else.

OVARIAN CYST AND STEM CELL THERAPY USING STC30

OVARIAN CYST is a gynecological problem which affects women of child bearing age. OVARIAN CYST occurs when the ovaries contain fluid filled sac on their surface. This is a major problem affecting women and can cause delay in conception because, the ovaries won't be able to fertilized by a sperm.

Most CYST do go out on their own , but when they don't go out. Surgery is required .

Associated Symptoms /effects of OVARIAN cyst.
Pain during intercourse.
Painful menstruation,
Irregular bowel movement.
Inability to conceive.
Excessive weight gain.

Ovarian CYST may not be harmful but they can be dangerous when they rupture. Advanced cases can be cancerous.

STEM cells using STC30 have been used to treat cases of OVARIAN CYST.
Stc30 can build up stem cells which can locate the ovaries where they repair the OVARIAN cells and replace d cystic cells with new cells in cases where it is cancerous .

When this happens, the OVARIAN CYST is cured as all symptoms disappears.

To tell or not to tell

Some people are so close to me in this journey that without saying it with words of mouth, they knew what I want just looking at me i.e Awesomemrs, thehomemaker and some Mama's here, most of which we have not even meet physically.

I know there are many sides to TTC, which ever way works for you maybe medical or spiritual, comes with their own demand, while some people may be placed on bed rest for some times, they may not wish to tell people that they are paged, for the fear of unknown due to unstable pregnancy situation, what if I later lost this baby wont people say I lied about being pregnant.

What works for me, has always been to see what you want me to see, if your Belle like, let it turn to trailer, I won't mention pregnancy to you, if you didn't tell me you are pregnant. when you give birth and I was told, I will congratulate you, if not, na to turn silent mood.

Please we need our emotional balance in this journey of TTC, please we have to overlook other people's attitude sometimes, I know it is not easy, but we need to learn that aspect. someone once abused me for three times, I didn't say anything, however I spoke the third time because she used TTC as a point in her abuse. I told her the worst she was not prepared to hear and guess what that was how I became tagged as the wife that gets angry easily. I never mentioned it to anyone that she used TTC, and she herself didn't tell anyone, from my in laws side, I do not expect them to tell me someone is pregnant, I do not expect them to hide it from me, because I don't even leave my house looking for family, I do friends that truly cares.

On friends that truly cares, it takes someone that has felt the same type of pain you are feeling to understand what you are going through. My true friends are women that knows what TTC is, on this one, ask Awesomemrs and thehomemaker, I knock the door of heart anytime, any day. if I was too quiet, they know how to bring out the flames.

We may have friends not TTCing that truly understands, it's fine to be with them too.

So on the hangout thing, a WhatsApp group has been created, let me see if I can post the link here, if not check my diary I have the link right in there.

Aim: To build a network of women who support each other in this fertility journey.

✅ Fertility Support
✅ Family Matters Support
✅ Sex Education
✅ Moral Advices And Support
✅ Prayers
✅ Hangout

Mention me so you can added to the group, if you are interested.

Please we need to stand by each other, I have meet many lovely women due to TTC and they became my sister on the spot because we shared same journey.

To all us feeling disappointed that pregnancy news were hides from us, please be of good courage.
We shall be celebrated very soon.

Fat burner, although a weight loss supplement, contains 333mg(per serving) of Inositol which helps women with PCOS ovulate. It also contains vit b6 which helps fertility.

while ttcing, my dw had similar issue, since you say ivf funds arent available, would suggest you dont rush off to do another hsg as meenah and other users hv suggested,

commence castor oil massage and serrapeptase upto 480,000iui daily, you can also add the chinese teas as well. if perchance your tubes are not blocked, these serve to enhance uterine and reproductive health as well, so nuthing to loose

just throwing this out there..
inside the tubes are fine hairlike structures called cilia, that aid the movement of the egg inside the tubes, if they are damaged, they hinder conception as well, or even lead to ectopic pregnancy , as the egg remains stationary in the tubes. infection, pid etc may damage this cilia
