It's a great idea, I was thinking along this line few weeks ago but just hesitating to mention it.

There are so much to talk about and learn concerning babe and mamas welfare.

How to care for baby navel
Nappy rashes
Episiotomy
Body after baby( gain our shape back)
Taking care of CSECTION incisions
Sit baths
Breastfeeding and lots more.


Many first time mums freaks out when faced with some of these stuffs that can easily be managed.

Especially PPID, it's hardly discussed during antenatal classes. All the matron or nurses talk about is EBF and cleaning of tips.

I went through PPID with my first, I always cry over any tiny little things, I watched my daughter cry, their uncontrollable cries. Nobody was there with me. My aunt that came for ọmụgwọ went to visit her sister and slept over there for 2days, hubby travelled. I had fever that week.

I cried when bm wasn't flowing well, she was 2m then, hubby wasn't helping out, he was busy singing EBF to my ear. I felt like a failure. I finally bought milk which her Royal highness rejected. Dunno how I overcomed it but I did.

When my brother was sick, I saw a woman that was in the hospital with her newborn. She was talking to her self. Her baby was crying but she was lost in self discussion. It was her sister who was with her that tapped her when she came in and handed over the baby to her. She looked at him and started crying.
According to her sister, her husband died 2wks after she gave birth, it affected her psychological. The normal African moonlight tales of the woman killing him brouhaha. So she's staying with her parents but they took her to the hospital when it was much.

@July belleful mamas, how are we? Hope we have started washing and packing bags small small? I keep feeling sharp pain below, esp when I'm trying to climb bike or bicycle. I don't know if its on my pelvic or uterus(don't really know the diff BTW both). Hope I'm not the only one feeling this pain? Also the heaviness right now is something else. Turning/changing positions while sleeping is like war now. I know it will all end in praise for us all.

Getting ds to sit and focus is not an easy job, altho he's always enthusiastic when he sees me bring his book and keeps disturbing me when he wants to write.
But I must say it's not easy, I try sooo hard not to spank him cause atimes it seems like hes just tempting me.. lol

He can count 1-30 and a-z with few mistakes
Identify some colours, animals and some other things
But you see to write, it always ends in tears. Just to follow dotted lines, tell him to do something and he does what he likes. I'm I pushing him too hard? Cause I think that's what they ought to be doing in school now as it's part of the work they send in their WhatsApp group. He 2.6years

I've abandoned writing for almost 2weeks now, I'll appreciate any tip that can help us do better.

Are you me or is me you or are my children yours cos we are in same shoes right now, I'm so tired of the online class that we have not replicated WhatsApp classes for two weeks now.
Getting them to sit or write is war and self lazy mummy. My children are 2 years 4 months.

You're not alone on this, I also feel pains when u want to turn while sleeping especially if u stressed myself before lying down.
Please if you can, try and avoid bike. Hecate I almost feel from a moving bike, I had to resort to getting a cab for any distance even if it's a 30 mins drive. Rather to be careful than be sorry.

Awwn, he's even doing well for his age. When my DD was that age, all we can write was 1-10 with 1 in America, 2 in Jamaica and 5/6 facing back. I didn't bother oo, we still high-five ✋ like that.
All I was interested in was her communication skills, number recognition, basic things like keeping brush/dirty clothes well, saying thank you after eating etc.
She repeated KG1, I wasn't even bothered.

Zaynie will know better, I'm not a preschool teacher.

You are a good parent who knows what is best for her child. Good you set the priorities right for your child. I am a teacher, and I wonder why parents of preschoolers put those small children under unnecessary pressure

Preschool is different, I work according to age. Also thanks to mummy Zaynie chart and her teacher thread. I always ask my daughter what happened in school anytime she comes back. Sometimes when I don't understand what she's saying, I ask her teacher the next day in school.

The only time I teach my DD when school was open was her assignment, I kukuma no get strength. Make school just resume, her brother is joining her lasan.
Rona brought out the teacher in me.

Anything that works for any parents is non of my biz. I believe they're doing their own best in their own way.

The Hospital is good and they have professional hands, used them for my first baby.
I just changed to Isalu in Ogba..not so far from Ojodu area..equally fantastic!

School won't give you the curriculum, I got mine from her teacher cos I'm close to her and have taught her daughter in grade 5. Join the school online WhatsApp group, download the videos. Call his teacher when is hard for you, he/she will guide you on how to get it right.
When he counts from 1-9
10 should be 1 and 0 -----10
1 and 1 ------ 11 etc
2 and 0 -------- 20

When he forget anyone, tell him. When he forgets again, tell him to start from the beginning.
After breakfast, tell him lesson time and no play play is allowed.

We learn from 9-12. I'll prepare lunch but give her what to write to keep her busy, eat around 1:30. Start from 2-3pm.

At age 4, she needs so much of play as well. When does she play if ever?

I got graco park and play when i had my first In 2015 (it was 45k then.....i dont know the current price) and i still have it in good condition till date.
I wanted getting twins crib this time while i sell the graco i have but the least price I’ve gotten so far is 150k.
With the way things are going,i will just get additional park and play to use.

I sometimes feel we are not in sync with realities and we keep running races, comparing kids, and at the end not bringing the best out of them as all they do is compete which is one of the major challenges our generation is facing.

Thanks for this. But one thing I will never do is compare kids as they are completely different people. Even twins don't turn out to be the same.

Last night I had this pain from one side of my bum down to my knee sometimes to my foot and it has not gone till now.Its worse anytime I lie down and the pain is just one sided.Dh has helped me massage with aboniki but it's not getting better.Has anyone experienced this or is it normal?? I thought I was the only one o! The difficulty when turning is something else..I also feel a painful pull in my lower pelvic area..doctor said it’s the head of the baby! (As usual all he gives me is paracetamol for every complain) infact now I prefer to be active 24/7 bcs when I rest for 30mins and decide to stand up..it’s like my laps gets stucked in its socket! July seems like forever already..I know it will end in praise
