I actually thought you would mention the amalgamation of Nigeria, since we're helping God decide now. cheesy

Several prophesies of end times have been given before 1914. Just do your research. That your organisation decided WW1 fo be the sign of end time, what then happened in WW2? Another end time?

You know the interesting contradiction to this?

God himself promised never to destroy the earth again after Noah's Ark. Did you miss that?

Genesis 8:21-22
And when the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done.
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
In the days of Noah as well, the warning wouldn't have been sounded just once. Seth's descendant, Enoch prophesied as regards to the wickedness of men in his time and may have sounded a warning to them. (Jude 14-15). Many may have thought that it was a onetime warning but no, even after Jehovah commissioned Noah to build the Ark, Noah likewise may have sounded warnings too to the wicked people to repent of their bad ways. 2Peter 2:5 called Noah “a preacher of righteousness”. So likely in all the years he spent building the Ark, he may have been preaching to the bad people so they could change.

Matthew 24:37-39
“For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be.  For as they were in those days before the Flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,  and they took no note until the Flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.”
So yeah you can keep doubting and ignoring what the Bible actually says concerning the end but that's to your own detriment and no one else's.

It has become needful to address the inconsistencies and contraditions in the bible.

Exactly why the Jews could not believe he was the Messiah.
Moses promised them a Prophet coming after him. Deuteronomy 18.15-22
He also asked them to crucify anyone who disobeyed his instructions. Deuteronomy 21:18-22

So when they were crucifying Jesus, they were simply obeying what God instructed them through Moses.

I didnt actually miss the joke, what I've done is go ahead of you.

Its true we both are speaking the truth, however the disagreement is because I am aware you believe there are existing from the original texts inconsistencies and contradictions in the Bible, when there is nothing of the sort in the original text(s)

MuttleyLaff:
... I have already said that the Bible is a prophetic and fulfilling book, unlike the other book of Goob, which isnt. Another thing about the Bible, is that it hasnt got any seemingly inconsistencies and alleged contradictions that arent each and all explainable and easily understood, because if you know, you know, and who no know, no go know, and be thinking there are inconsistencies and contradictions when there arent. The book of Goob, is just as its name the word goob is, it is a book full of stupidity, silliness and daftness. Nothing prophetic about it, nothing revelatory about it. It's just an outright shameless sham fantasy book full of gobbledygook.

Now give me your best shot out of all your, the seemingly inconsistencies and alleged contradictions in the Bible, if it wont be explained to you. C'mon, bring it on.

My guy forget that one about "... Enoch prophesied as regards to the wickedness of men in his time and may have sounded a warning to them. (Jude 14-15) ..."

That Book of Enoch (i.e. BoE) and the rest of the other apocrypha and pseudepigrapha books are fictional best seller books written after Jesus' death between the first to fifth centuries

The book of Enoch is an uninspired, fallible, apocryphal book full of fanciful tales.
It is likely that the inspired letter of Jude used the same source that the uninspired book of Enoch used.
Or that Jude received all those information directly from Jesus himself, since he was a half brother to Jesus.

Sometimes I quote from Shakespeare or make reference to Shakespeare's Macbeth, which, as we all know, bears little resemblance to the real 11th century, Mac Bethad mac Findláich, known in English as Macbeth, Scottish king, and when I do, it doesn't mean by quoting them makes them gospel truth. The Apostles Peter and Jude, were talking and/or warning against false teachers, heresies and slander, so in their admonition(s), they used excerpts from the BoE to make pints with, now those familiar or who had read the BoE in that audience would have immediately recognised those BoE excerpts and know its them the Apostles was rebuking and expressing disapproval off

I have the three different versions of the BoE, I have read all the three, and I must say, they are outrageously ridiculous and laughable books to read. IMHO, and if asked, I'll say that, the BoE, in the absence of readily available proper toilet tissue, are well suited and can best be used for wiping bums with.

What really matters is the outcome of the applications of what was found in the book.
There are science textbooks and students globally, yet some countries have advanced in Scientific discoveries faster than others.
So even your Qur'an have different versions, while some Translations says MUHAMMAD should go and learn from Bible students how to relate with Allah, some hid that part.
Some translated "Almisiu" (Saviour) relating it with just one messenger (Jesus), other refused to translate the word so as not to cause confusion amongst Muslims who were never taught that Jesus is the Saviour! wink

Take for example the flood story:

In Flood story 1, the older story, Noah takes seven pairs of all clean animals plus one pair of all the others. Once on board with his family, it rained for forty days and forty nights, and everything outside the ark was killed. Noah sent out a dove to scout for dry land. On the second try, it returned with an olive leaf. Back on dry land, Noah sacrificed one of every clean animal to Yahweh, and Yahweh promised to never again destroy life on earth (with a flood, anyway).

In story #2, God is named, not Yahweh, but Elohim, and specifics about the design of the ark are given. With just one pair of each animal plus provisions, Noah (now 600 years old) and family go into the ark. This time, the water comes, not from rain, but from “the fountains of the great deep” and “the windows of the heavens.” Water had covered the earth for 150 days when Elohim made the water recede. This time it was a raven that helped scout for dry land, and they were back on dry land after a year in the ark. God told them to “be fruitful and multiply.”
