Good morning nairalanders and computer users.
My laptop HP g61 dual core was recently giving me hard disk failure for example whenever I am using it the laptop would stop whatever program I am working on and a message will appear saying my laptop hard disk stopped working or something like that a few days later it stopped booting so took it out for repairs and windows 10 was installed for me.
Now I find out that my laptop works fine when plugged in but the .moment it is is unplugged it starts lagging and I won't be able to use it unless I reboot it or plug it in again. Please I need your help.

speed 2.10ghz

This is one of symptoms of board problems, if it is not, then it might be your hard disk is bad, but i don't a bad hard disk would make your laptop to be behaving in such manner, it's usually system boards

Have you tried changing the Hdd hard disk, the hard disk might be faulty or you can also try to change the Ram, a bad Ram could also cause this, they should test it with a good functional Ram, before they can ascertain where the problem is

what build and version of windows 10?

might be the power option setup on the system, if its on AC power it performs great, the moment its on DC the system tends to conserve power...perhaps thats why it lags.

the windows version and build might be old. 2004 is the very latest build version. if yours is old, perhaps its trying to download update
