If PDP field Obaseki as their flag bearer I see serious legal battle ahead.
He joined the party after the timeline for purchase of nomination form and screening has closed. This alone can be contest in court and if it goes against the primary election timeline the court will have no choice than to rule him ineligible to participate.
And one of the contestant might explore this avenue in future.

Initial gra gra. They will eventually break when the gana must-go reach their side

But Obaseki said he doesn't want to share money na? grin

Obaseki is bleeped and his opponents know it. Did you hear his speech yesterday when he declared he's the new leader of PDP in Edo state?

Those hardcore PDP guys are waiting to show him who the bosses are.

All na part of political negotiations and stock elevation for significance if and when the party wins the elections.
Obaseki's the only chance PDP has to win in Edo and PDP can only ride in his waves of popularity from fall out with APC, his performance, anti-Oshiomhole sentiment that's very huge in Edo.

Why should they step down, you can just move to my party at the 99th minute and expect everyone to step down for you. Everyone has their political career to pursue, in as much as the interest of the party is at heart, everyone has his own personal interest as well

Obaseki should leave no stones unturned in matching Oshiomhole and Kabaka devilry for devilry.
No one is a monopoly of political thuggery.

Did you see what Apc did to Fayose during Ekiti election?

Ekiti is an Apc man who decamped. Apc is very talented in dealing with traitors. Don't be surprised if Obaseki is not even allowed to vote that day.

If not Oshiomole that singlehandedly made Obaseki Governor, he has no political value whatsoever.Even d election had to be rigged for this dumb fellow who claimed he didn't know d whereabout of his certificate.
He has achieved almost nothing in 4years and fighting godfather should never be equated as an achievement. In fact he's a product of d ills of godfatherism in Nigeria politics cos in a sane clime,he's not worth a district councillor.
That Kenneth Omasugbon is a surebet if PDP wish to win Edo State.

Good decision. PDP should conduct a free and fair primary election, that's their only chance of winning this election. Obaseki doesn't particularly have a good record in Edo state.

Good people, please go through this thread. I need your advice/suggestions.

https://www.nairaland.com/5942073/how-sort-life-out

Unless you're an Agbero or those who wanted to have access to the treasury otherwise, the statement you made about Obaseki not having a good record is a slip of a drunkard's tongue.

Once Obaseki steps up his compensation package for them and get to promise them some juicy incentives including contracts should he be re-elected, they will step down for him. Those 3 guys have planned how to cash out big o, so nobody should rush them
lol

I thought he said Edo money is not for Oshiomole but for development for Edo people?

Which compensation and juicy package are you talking about.?

Why should they step down for him?

If we are going to progress as a nation and improve our democratic processes, we need to start strengthening the internal democracy of our political parties. Political parties cannot throw up the best candidates if we keep manipulating the system to favour vested interests. General election is merely to fulfill all righteousness since the political elites already rigged the party primary against popular candidates.

Both Obasek and PDP have meeting point there. PDP do not reward loyalty, only highest bidder, bring the dollars that's it! Just like Obasek automatic, non negotiable, right of first refusal infact he prefers automatic plus 4years without any election, very notorious!

OkoAmarashy:

And if they don't, what would Obaseki do? Decamp to NCDC party?

What most of you don't realize is that those telling them not to step down are bigger than Obaseki.
Of course...all of them are fighting for their pocket. They don't care about the party or ideologies. Once they don't get what they want they move.
