obaseki is a shame and a huge disgrace to his ppl plus edo state at large. A whole governor can’t even campaign with a single significant project he has done, even worse governors had at least something to brag with. Where are all his supporters who where hyping him all around social media. I thought Ambode was foolish but this man makes ambode seems very smart

Of course...all of them are fighting for their pocket. They don't care about the party or ideologies. Once they don't get what they want they move.

You are correct. Obaseki claims to be fighting Godfatherism but see what he said yesterday? He basically told Edo PDP that he's hijacked the party.

He is a very stupid person and a traitor who lacks tact and manners. Those is PDP don't trust him and they aren't hiding it.

Once Obaseki steps up his compensation package for them and get to promise them some juicy incentives including contracts should he be re-elected, they will step down for him. Those 3 guys have planned how to cash out big o, so nobody should rush them

PDP is a useless party. They should have the deputy governorship post to one of them. All their labours would likely end in vain.
It is not fair. Money is not everything. They didn't learn from the last presidential election.

If PDP field Obaseki as their flag bearer I see serious legal battle ahead.
He joined the party after the timeline for purchase of nomination form and screening has closed. This alone can be contest in court and if it goes against the primary election timeline the court will have no choice than to rule him ineligible to participate.
And one of the contestant might explore this avenue in future.
.
Your words are wisdom to the enlightened, these are locus standi for a court case, for its a fact the petitioner will win the case, from tribunal up to supreme court.
As usual the wailing wailers, won't see this until after Obaseki is removed as Gov & the petitioner sworn in, they will, start shouting Supreme court Gov.

It is a democracy. Nothing strange in their decision. It is left to the electorate on the day of the primary to make their choice out of the lot of them, which one gives PDP the best opportunity to win the election.

Clearly Governor Obaseki with the momentum and groundswell of support amongst Edo electorates offers the best odds for PDP amongst them all presently and the smart money is on his emergence as the PDP candidate & eventually Governor of Edo State.

Can you guys just reason logically for once.
With your sọ called "groundswell of support amongst Edo" why is Obaseki still afraid of contesting the primary. Since he's overwhelmingly supported by edolites.

There is no way three of them will win the primaries. One winner must eventually come out.

And non of this three is popular enough to stand against Pastor Ize Iyamu

Why won't they just allow their selfish interest not ruin your party's chance of taking over Edo State?

Not as selfish as obaseki

Why should they step down for him?

If we are going to progress as a nation and improve our democratic processes, we need to start strengthening the internal democracy of our political parties. Political parties cannot throw up the best candidates if we keep manipulating the system to favour vested interests. General election is merely to fulfill all righteousness since the political elites already rigged the party primary against popular candidates.

Forget best candidate. In Nigeria, party primaries is about the highest bidder

I thought Obaseki is popular, what is he afraid of, what he accused Oshiomole for, saying no to Godfatherism, is it not what is also doing to the other loyal aspirant who have labour day and night to hold the party structure trying to denied their Democratic right to contest with him. when you deprived others of their Democratic right what do u called that? Obaseki want to play Godfatherism here, say no to Obaseki oppression to the other aspirant.

“Yes, there is pressure from them. But it is not about pressure, but about doing the right thing in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, due process and the Electoral Act.

It is disappointing and a big shame in Edo State and the entire nation and it portends danger for the country and the party. Nigerians should rise up against what is happening. We are not in the jungle; it is not a do-or-die affair, but about the process. It is totally unacceptable,” Imasuagbon said.
