If you have not read these books by George Orwell

Animal Farm
1984

pls, do

It will give you a clue of what is going on

These Books is for only those that want to learn, If you are a house negro and a slave on the democratic cotton farm, The book is not for you.
Consider me one who has read both books numerous times and and have 1984 on my read again list, yet I seem to see the opposite of what you see.

Books in similar vein on my current reading list are:
The Jungle - Upton Sinclair
Nigeria - What Everyone Needs to know - John Campbell & Matthew T. Page
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad
We - Yevgeny Zamyatin

I have also read the four Rand books, yet I see the opposite of what you see. I wonder why.

In my view, trump is the pigs in Animal Farm, and I would have said he is Orwellian except he is too much of a one man twitting buffoon to be Big Brother. I would have worried if he had an effective staff around him, and the fact that he hasn't, despite years in business, is incompetence of a high order.

What excatly do these people want? If the Police was defunded, Have these idiots imagined the level of chaos and carnage that would ensue? smh

i guess you didnt read it well or maybe you didnt understand the plot well, the pig in the animal farm old major( grandfatherly philosopher of change.)

in amimal farm

these are the characters

Benjamin represents the working class and the old people
Boxer is represent the hardworking, but naive and ignorant people who helped to remove the old order and establish the Soviet Union, but were eventually betrayed just like how black people are always betrayed
Mr. Jones(the farm owner) represent the conservatives
Napoleon represent the silent evil that will come
old major the man who created the revolution through his speech but didnt see the revolution happen
Snowball - another revolutionary, who did the dirty jobs for the every one but was eventually thrown out(in real life imprison)( all those black leader and white liberals with their organisation)

1984- was all about the dangers of totalitarianism and a world governed by propaganda, surveillance, and censorship.

in 1984- status were destroyed, books destroyed, also books were rewritten, censorship was the order of the day, nobody could say any opinion or he will be killled, is this not what is happening today?

I can see someone posting half cut and twisted information again just like the over 3 decades ago Senate hearing discussed in previous pages.

I do not want to quote this person again since this person is a troll, and I have much better thing to do with my time than replying trolls grin

Full statement below:

This quote has nothing to do with Joe being racist. He said something needs to be done about the racial tensions before it explodes.

Twisting peoples words to make it say what you want is not a good look.

Thanks a lot for this clarification. More grease to your elbows man.

Only with truth, can you fight back the disinformation campaign that troll has embarked on.
My real fear is for the neutral observers here that may be falling for their disinformation campaign. Please continue the good work.

You at least justify your opinion. Unfortunately both sides have read Animal Farm and 1984 and have learnt to disguise themselves to seem the opposite of what they are for. And fortunately, we here disagreeing serves as antidote to totalitarianism since neither of us would submit to the other totally.

I disagree with your interpolation of Orwell, to say the least. In your perfect depiction, oppressed blacks and whites, for instance, do not seem to exist, nor do the Far Right and Nazis as if they don't in the real world though in reality they are better organised and more dedicated than BLM.

I wonder if you are aware that conservatives want to ban books too?

Look at all the books conservatives want to ban, do you think, they make sense? Do you think people in their most rational emotions will read those books??

Who wants to read a book on witchcraft??

Fake news! Republicans have never advocated for banning books or erasing any kind of history, only Democrats are that stupid. People who are stupid enough to topple the statue of Abraham Lincoln, the very man who fought for the freedom of the black slaves, what else can you say about such a people? Americans are watching the madness that leftist mobs have unleashed on American cities and Democrats will pay a big price in November

Again, I checked her posted Twitter video, and I wasn't dissapointed. She posted half information as usual.
Biden talking about less privileged kids at an Asian-Latino meeting in Iowa.

Biden said in the video

"we should challenge student in thse schools and have advanced placement programs in these schools. We have this notion that somehow if you are poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright, and just as talented as as white kids, wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids"

Yet our Aunty somehow cropped out the other kids and left only the white kids in her post ;

I did not even bother with the rest of the hogwash she posted.

Even Biden's campaign apologised for that comment and said he misspoke but here you are defending even what Biden's campaign accepted was wrong. Just like you were fooling yourself and other stupid liberals on the forum the other day. Sexylassie2 is correct. This was the comment “We should challenge students in these schools,” Mr. Biden said. “We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.” he stopped here then he realized he had gaffed, he rushed to add: “Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids — no I really mean it, but think how we think about it.” too late his gaffe was already out of the bag and his campaign had to apologise later for it.

You are posting an opinion piece from fake news Washington Post as evidence? Can you mention the name of any republican or conservatives leader calling for banning of books or removing historical statues? That's a Democrat thing, they are the ones trying to turn the US to USSR

I have promised not to reply comments from people with an IQ next to zero, but I would break that rule just to reply this post.

Thanks for confirming that his campaign team apologized for doing nothing wrong.

Now, when is Trump's campaign team going to apologize for all his racists statements?
Oh! Racists do not apologize.

You see, that is the difference between goodman (Biden) and the Lucifer (Trump). Now suck on that.

That is minorities would be giving the majority of their votes to Biden. They are not stupid. They can tell the difference between good and evil.

The E.U. is prepared to bar American travelers when it reopens borders July 1 because the U.S. has not controlled the coronavirus, according to draft lists.
