There are other competitions outside EPL and Luiz is a cheaper option to fill those spots.

We should be looking at spending heavily on the midfield instead.

For the rest of this season, Arteta would do well to make Mustafi a leader. One who could give orders in-game. One who could saddle the responsibility of us not losing another match till season is over.

He is not the great defender we want, but he has got grits, voice, and passion. Plus he rarely gets injured. That defense needs a leader and a reader. A Mertesacker type. One who would sit back and organise his defense.
