They're doing well bro.
One of the old generation banks pay their E A staff 2.4M after tax annually (monthly Salary, leave bonus, house allowance &13th month salary.)
They don't work their ass off like these contract staffs (BSA & DSA) .
Some even get 5k for ATM duty weekly self.
Core Bank staffs earn good money.

Move to Abuja

Who's feeding you people with this tale ?
Ask any Uber /taxify driver paying weekly remittance if they're making 20k for themselves after all expenses. There are so many risk driving round Lagos not to talk of the daily struggle with LASTMA, VIO AND CBD BOYS.

police harassment at law school dat one I had to tell dem, if dey want me to go n steal or dey allow me do my hustle since it's not full time n dey can have my CV so dey get me a job n last last those guys were nice.

den agbero harassment

fixing of d car n maintenance is not really easy coupled with traffic.

I may not have done Uber but I drive a Sienna n I was forced to abandon d idea of transportation biz, it is a good business when there is no traffic n u can pick passengers frequently but with traffic it's a no go area

Sh*t going on in this country with no government. I won't advise anyone to settle for contract employment especially in a Nigerian bank. It is such a waste of years.

Everywhere else contract staff are paid over x3 of what regular staff take home due to the nature of their contracts. But in Nigeria unless you are a foreigner your fellow Nigerians will oppress you with shitty pay and make sure you rot in poverty. I just don't understand the wickedness just because there are very few options out there in a country that is just not working.

I'll advise you to focus on your online business 100%. If you really know what you are doing you'd excell before long and thank your stars for not wasting away your life in some slave employment.

PS: At the end of each quarter the same banks will declare billions of naira profit after tax so what's up with the wickedness exactly?

Chief , that is a subsistence living and I doubt if anyone would love to do that for 5years because of the health implications and risk involved.
It is true that drivers make money in December but ask those drivers how much they take home at the moment. Take for instance the revelation below :
Gross earnings =71,000 weekly
Fuel = 21,000
Taxify deduction =14,200
Feeding weekly = 5000
Toll gate and other miscellaneous= 3000
Weekly rental agreement =25,000
Take home =2800 naira

So you want him to expend his energy for 2800 naira driving round town for over 65hours weekly

OP, sincerely you are going to get myriads of jumbled pieces of advice because you did not provide enough information to guide anyone in giving any constructive counselling. For instance:
What is your actual age, or age range?
What did you study? Qualifications?
What is your career path?
What kind of online business are you into?
What is your goal in life?

I can tell, whatever advice you have been given here by folks were based on assumptions and not on facts, and I am not sure that is what you need either.
So please give details that can help folks to assist you with practical guide. It's for your good and the benefit of those in your shoes who are likely looking forward to reading up useful materials here.
Can you supply those details?

The smiley is not to mock him. When you want to soften your hard advice, doing it with a smile takes away the sting of it while the point is driven in..

And if you cared to go through my post, my advice is stated plainly enough. So in fact I tried to care and help not ridicule him. grin

OP if you like your future, better quite and start hustling on ur own now, though it'll be a bit tough at the start, but trust me, you'll live never to regret this as you'll get to find out that you actually made the right move later on.

I resigned from my contract job as a teller last year with Access Bank when I realized that one "small guy" like that in my branch was getting times 5 of my salary, just imagine that, d guy was getting 280k monthly with an official car to aid his marketing outings.

bros, I couldn't be at my best since d day I got to find out abt his pay.

Outside this salary thing, you're totally like a slave to both the bank and real REAL bank staffs.

You need to see the way my manager used to talk to sm contract staffs in my branch then, you're nothing but a boy to them no matter how you look. They're your boss even if you're their senior, whatever they say, you're expected to do it, be it in a rude or polite way, you're just expected to sh*t d fk up and do ur job.

my people, the kinda fights and quarrels that used to occur then at my branch wasn't just here. I in particular don't use to talk nor laugh with them, except they call in to avoid being insulted cos this is what I got to find out then at my branch, the more u get to open up to them, the more they get to talk down at you especially if you're on contract.

guys to cut d whole thing short, I left the job to further my school, currently on my M.Tech( Masters) now.

I rather go back to school than waste my life working for a peanut pay and still not being seen as anything by my follow workers.

I'm not yet there, but I'll surely get there. I am also into online business and I mk far more than my pay now.. To the glory of God

if you have an alternative, leave the bank as soon as you can, before you realize, everything will become hopeless. Bank will end up sending you away with nothing.

What is the online biz? I hope it's not Yahoo.

If your online biz is legitimate and can sustain you, why are you wasting your days building someone else's business?

Resign yesterday and put the work hours in your own business and grow it to the point where you become an employer of labour.

Yes it's digital marketing ...it has been helping alot

Brother, I tell u the truth, u would have made 300 calls by day 15 and prospectively converted some to sales that can pay u more than that 60k. I left d bank in 2015 and have not worked for any man save God, myself and my clients. I did a turnover of 21million in 2019 with 300% profit margin compare to the previous year. Those contract staff in other countries have skills, expertise and experiences that are above those of the regular staff. If you do not contribute something special, no one will be dolling out money because you are a contract staff.
When you start your business, you can pay all your profit to your staff as salary o.
