It’s okay. I don’t want to be drawn back to that issue. Many on this threaded have pleaded we should drop it. I’ve hugged Nerdie. It’s up to him to return the e-gesture lol.

You should get used to it. This is a public forum and this thread has lots of followers. Some might come back a day or two and scan to catch up with what went on in their absence.

So drawbacks in topics happen from time to time.

You are right. But what's the need for this? TheSupernerd has been calm and dropping football updates since then and even left all these talks behind.
I, however want to point out something some choose to keep ignoring or haven't taken note of. I really prefer watching but I am also tempted to speak up when I feel something so obvious isn't being addressed. I don't bow to the temptation everytime but I now to this one.
I have noticed that the Joebie fellow always seem to bring into any recent confrontations with Mr. Nerdy, that situation concerning Nerdy's Mom being insulted and how he (nerdy) decided to react to it to send a message. It's almost like he enjoys people's moms getting insulted coz he keeps bringing it up. He did it sometime ago when Nerdy called him out on his Tammy bias and his giving so much attention to an English international on a Super Eagles thread. I think I also remember Nerdy claiming he changed his post relating to a reaction to a Tammy post to which Joebie initially denied and later admitted. That matter passed.
Now again, the fellow tries to make Nerdy look bad but apparently fails as Nerdy debunks his talks with a full video which I agree justifies his brief summary of what happens as regards Nwakali. What does he do again when the Nerd calls his actions childish and malice-driven? He brings up Nerdy's Mom again.
I am beginning to find that very repulsive and grossly immature. In short I might even say Pussy-like. Sorry. Just saying it as I feel it is.
I just feel I should point this out because I feel some here are just out to distract TheSupernerd lad from doing his thing.

Now, before I return to Ghostmode, let me add this. I used to have a thing for Nwakali but personally now, I'm just watching. He hasn't had a fine career progress generally so I am just basically indifferent to what he does now until I see some consistency. But I see nothing wrong in another trying to drop updates on the lad and focus on the positives of it.
I come here to get the best of Nigerian football news and I view gladly in Ghostmode appreciating what y'all do here and Mr.Nerdy is one moniker in here whose comments I love to read as his passion is never in doubt. TheGoodJoe, his good friend on here is another. His "Dad" Icons is another and a few others like Chris, Tbaba and even Forgiveness.
I think not everyone is bound to agree and I'm sure there are those here who got their favs but let us not distract from the main purpose of the thread so that the rest of us will keep enjoying what brings us here. That's all I wanted to add.

Iwobi is having a very good game today, missed the MOTM by a small margin.

But a reflection of his continous achilles heel, Iwobi can't shoot to save his life. His shooting is very weak.

I noticed Kean the black Italian RISING STAR has now become the FALLING STAR

A note of caution to those who follow the money in their transfer without studying the club before they join. And establish if they can progress in that club and system.

Only the goal scorer have a higher ratings than him

Ancelotti is not a bias coach unless he would have look for a way to be playing Moise Keane from the start

Iwobi second highest rating against Norwich. 8.1, only behind the goalscorer.

Most key passes

Second most touches for a non-defender.

Most interceptions for a non-defender.

Most tackles for a non-defender.

Most crosses attempted.

Most crosses completed.

Most Dribbles.

No unsuccessful touches.

Becoming a box-to-box.

BIG 17.

not even about sadiq really, but lets minus this season where dessers is the top scorer, where was he last season when he was 24 years old, nd 2 seasons ago when he was 23, you feel me... and if he was so damn good, he would not be moving to Genk now, after being the joint top scorer of the Eredivisie... he should be moving to the EPL, La liga, bundesliga, seria A, french league etc, ever wondered why he declared for us? or why belgium would rather lose a good quality centre forward? maybe cuz he is average IMO...

Now after comparing both on transfermarkt.com, i found out dessers is valued at 3.2m to sadiq 2.m, however we should not forget that around 2017, sadiq was valued just under a little below 3.m before the nosedive, at that particular time when dessers should be 23, we dont know his wherabouts...

dessers 25 years, total match is 167 games, 73 goals, 28 assist
sadiq 23 years 141 games 77 goals 31 assist ( not including 6 apps nd 4 goals for the u23)

conclusion

what im trying to get at is that, he dosent really trump any of our forward players at the moment, what does he bring to the table? Can he dribble like chuks, lethal like osihmen, fast like simon or kalu, infact i prefer josh maja... but he is a powerfully built striker and had a good season.... lets see him at Genk please... but no matter what he achieve at Genk, he'd still need to move to a much bigger side... that was the move we expected now, i guess we'd have to wait another season or so....

sadiq on the other hand is interesting, can play, score, assist, weve known him since 'tey tey', when he was having troubles we know him, hes don the green and white, played for FC ROMA, been to the olympics and is being mooted for a bigger move, im sure bigger than Genk....
.

What do you mean by 'proper Nigerian'?

TheSuperNerd:
Statistically and according to Whoscored average ratings so far, you are right if you only referring to CBs. Especially our CBs in the top divisions.

In the top 5 leagues or top flight leagues Kenneth Omeruo holds an average Whoscored rating of 6.70. Awaziem is 6.49 and Ekong is 6.57.

Now from this, it shows that among our defenders in the top division of a major euro league, Omeruo is tops.

But in Europe as a whole looking at both top divisions and Second divisions, Semi Ajayi is ahead on 6.91.

But if I am looking at our best performing defender in Europe combining both the CBs and fullbacks... Then My good man, Ola Aina with 6.92 takes the crown. He is our best overall performing defender in Europe so far.

This is a brief breakdown:

Average Whoscored ratings of our defenders so far for the 19/20 season:

Ola Aina (Serie A) - 6.92

Semi Ajayi (Championship) - 6.91

Ehizibue (Bundesliga) - 6.73

Collins (Bundesliga) - 6.72

Omeruo (La Liga) - 6.70

Ekong (Serie A) - 6.57

Awaziem (La Liga) - 6.49

Note: Didn't include Leon Balogun who holds a solid 7.08 rating from 6 appearances in the Championship so far b'cos he hasn't played as much games as the rest. Would be unfair really as he wasn't so active for the season's first half. But if I did... He would be topping.

Subzero047:

No Semi Ajayi and Ekong are

komekn:

It depends on what you mean by our.

Because l dont think he is clearly better than Balogun or Ekong.

And if you add to the equation Adarabioyo, Iorfa and Ajayi. It is very far from conclusive.

andrewbaba44:

Troost ekong doesnt play Rugby

You cant give me our best performing defender to someone who plays for a relegation threatened team, if not relegation bound self, but there is hope for them to survive the laliga so i wont use that bound.

First of all, when I said 'defender', I meant Central defender. In the Big 5 leagues, Omeruo is by far our best performing defender. Balogun and Ajayi don't even play in top-tier leagues.

Of all our central defenders in Europe including Ajayi, Omeruo ranks first in tackles, interceptions, clearances, wins more offsides.
In fact he is the 2nd best tackler in Italy.

The only defender who has better stats is Jordan Torunarigha and he doesn't play for us yet.

Respect! Respect!! Respect!!!
