I think that is something Pep is trying to instill in Foden and I hope he assimilates it fast. Or, Pep might have to go to the market for a Silva replacement.

I am talking of the kind of tactical quality we find in Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Carzola, Koke, Xabi Alonso, Thiago, Isco and Sarabia.

Look at this clip of a young Oliver Torres.

also one guy i liked instantly is a certain Adli in psg youth team, i was opportuned to watch his a uefa youth league match and boy played just like zidane, very calm and mad technique.... we need just one player like xavi, modric, iniesta(not azubuike pls) in our midfield, i swear...

I'm not shifting the post

You made it seem like outside Real and Barca, the teams in the La Liga can never compare to clubs in England

Football is not linear equation

Etebo was always bigger than the championship and Getafe is not a traditional top 5 team, they are having a great season, and Yes!! He will have a starting shirt in teams like Sheffield United.

The premier league is the most financially buoyant league in europe but football playing, it's not 1+1

Celta Vigo will surely pick at least 5 points from games with Watford, Villa and Norwich

And also bringing Rangers to talk town Villarreal.. Which team knocked out Celtic from Europa?? A team from Denmark

Nobody is saying La Liga is better or the segunda division is better than the championship but then, you can't just talk down the league because you want to talk down a player.

Las pamas came and played great football..
Girona also played good football...

Celta vigo is better than those 3 teams you mentioned please

Did you see celta vigo against man united in the Europa league semi final few seasons ago ?

Man united won 2-1 by aggregate, but you need to see how this guys played at old trafford

Man united ,Chelsea ,spurs aren’t a better team than Sevilla and Valencia ,I said what I said

Leave komekn jare

The English league is the most competitive no doubt ,but the English is is never the best in the world ,laliga has been the best league in the world for the past 10 years till now ,that should tell you a lot

what is the TRUE definition of "competitive "?

It means there's no clear favorite, e.g Nigerian premier league

Highly-rated attacker Chukwubuike Adamu was at his blistering best as Liefering beat Wacker Innsbruck 4-1 away from home in the Austrian Erste Liga.

The 19-year-old scored from the spot in the 39th minute, before adding gloss to the scoreline with a 57th-minute strike.

Chukwubuike, who also scored thrice in five UEFA Youth League games before Liefering were eliminated now has 12 goals in 17 league matches this season.

Wanted by Arsenal and Others

His brilliant form in the UEFA Youth League attracted interest from a host of top European clubs, with Arsenal believed to be the front-runners.

AC Milan, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Liverpool are the other top European teams that are tracking the progress of the Kano-born attacker.

The twinkle-toed attacker has also been compared to PSG superstar Neymar due to his deft touches, fanciful footwork and colourful hairstyle

International Scene

Chukwubuike is expected to spark a tug-of-war between Nigeria and Austria in the coming months as he's still eligible to play for his country of birth despite representing Austria at youth level.

In three games for the Austrian U-19, he has scored three goals - proving that he can deliver for both club and country.

Another talent spotted
a one to keep an eye on

Na wa ooo....

He can't cross for shit. Not my choice fullback at all.

I hope we don't make the mistake of overhyping him here. He seems average at best

I have checked his stats for the season and compared it with Collin's. He is no where better than Collins... They are both poor crossers of the ball though, but for some other stats, Collins is better than him...

I don't see the point of inviting him if he can't offer something much better than Collins...

Is there anybody in SE that can actually cross the ball?

I think Musa and Iwobi are decent enough...

But when it comes to long accurate crosses, can't think of anybody...

Moses's cross to Musa at the world cup was probably the last decent cross a super eagles player ever gave in a match... And it wasn't exactly accurate...

Five stars comment. Been following your posts and find it so refreshing. I will do an immediate check on Adli. Think I have watched some of his game but can't remember.

By the way, I hope Nwakali gets his mojo back but I hope a young cat comes into the scene with as much swagger as Mikel had as a youngster.

We really need a midfield general that will orchestrate our plays.

Ndidi needs to keep working on it but the difference is that the Brazilians are trained from small to influence the game offensively no matter the role they play. It has been there over time from Roberto Carlos having a threatening shooting presence even though he was a left back to the multiple runs of Lucio. You can see the offensive addition Ederson brings to City.

It has to do with us changing our orientation to a more possessive and offensive style.

Its not that easy. Valencia will crumble under the intensity the epl has

.injuries and all inclusive. We love to say they are tactically better than most epl teams but if in epl, they might just struggle with small teams that are bent on tackling hard and rough, plus officiating again.

"Competitive" in English football can also include finances...
There are more than 10 clubs in the EPL that can spend up to £100m in one transfer market.. and they don't depend on selling their players to raise money like it's done in some leagues..

Look at this clip of a young Oliver Torres.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__z3eX9mWcE

You are looking at football from one perspective the Spanish style of football. Things have moved on you are being too nostalgic.

A style that sees only two teams dominate in thier league consistently. But two teams with the best 2 players in the world.

Take out Messi from Barcelona and l tell you they will not have the same over riding dominance. Look at Real M.since Ronaldo left and they are not the same.

Most top quality teams are not entirely reliant on just one player.

Now to mitigate against the technical possession game of Barcelona. You simply bring in pace, more physicality and go more direct. And don't worry about possession.

Chelsea did it with Drogba.

Football has moved on and spending time on the ball with possession only is no longer the killer tactic. Pep has evolved the system with what he has done at Bayern and Man city.

Liverpool did it and gave Barcelona a football lesson with a crazy defeat right in thier backyard.

If it worked Carzola would still be in Arsenal but he has dropped to insignificance in Villareal.

The system also requires that everyone plays the same way.

Look at Seria A and see what the combination of speed, technical ability with physicality has done for Lukaku at Inter. Although for me irrespective of the league Lukaku is a proven tested World class striker.

Paul Scholes would not find it easy now the game has changed. Midfielder are box to box and they score goals.

Even with that you are still very wrong and not being balanced with regards to English players. Let's look at the current young English midfielder who are killing it.

Mason Mount, Maddison, Winks, Grealish, Ruben Loftus, Barkley, Bamidele Alli, Todd Cantwell, etc to name just a few. These players will walk into any top club in Europe.

So again you seem to be out of touch with times the game has changed. Look at Liverpool where the Wing backs are recording more assists and even goals than top midfielders in the top leagues.

You need to drink the new wine, you are still drinking old Wine.

De Bruyne does not waist time doing skills and never ending possession football. But is arguably the best attacking midfielder in the world, look at his END PRODUCT assists and goals.

I think Liefering is a feeder club of RB Salzburg, when they get a youth player he will start from Liefering before moving to RB Salzburg, after that if he is really good he can move to RB Liebzig another club owned by the Red Bull Company.
I think that might be the pathway of Tijani, but I just hope he starts from RB Salzburg, instead of their feeder club
