I hammered on this before the last afcon yet it seems its not yet considered serious yet.... And its unse-esque to not have these two dangerous abilities.

It's really dangerous bro..

These crosses and headers can be useful in crucial moments..

Imagine if Mahrez had Etebo's free kicks abilities... He most likely wouldn't have scored that goal against us at the AFCON grin ..

Nigerian players, and indeed a lot of African players need to work more on the technical aspects of their games..

Celta vigo is better than those 3 teams you mentioned please

Did you see celta vigo against man united in the Europa league semi final few seasons ago ?

Man united won 2-1 by aggregate, but you need to see how this guys played at old trafford

Man united ,Chelsea ,spurs aren’t a better team than Sevilla and Valencia ,I said what I said

Leave komekn jare

The English league is the most competitive no doubt ,but the English is is never the best in the world ,laliga has been the best league in the world for the past 10 years till now ,that should tell you a lot

Do you enjoy typing rubbish? Valencia bigger than Man It's, Chelsea and Spurs? Bro, Spurs had been much more competitive in the last 4 years than Liverpool, Arsenal and Man utd. Chelsea? Man utd? I don't even know how you made your claim with this Valencia. stop posting on this thread for a while, you're loosing it gradually tbh.

Funny how anything that comes from England is the best while Spain shouldn't be rated

Tosin better than Omeruo

Asin why na?

Sevilla and Valencia will surely be a Top 8 team in England back to bavk to back

Wetin Spurs dey play?

Spurs has been on the top 4 for a while now, what do you mean Mr? they have the most average players with the least pay but can pull weights compared to arsenal and even United. The only influence La Liga has is the El clasico and the ability to buy any player (even lower than the asking price). Don't do this thing again I earn you, the last time the English league was made fun of the dominated both the UCL and the Europa.

Guys guys...

Who saw the pass fabinho laid for Salah's goal yesterday in Liverpool's match against crystal palace??
That's the kind of thing Ndidi should grow to do but I'm sure he'll get there

It would be wonderful for him to have it but right now he's one of the most rated DMs in the world, not even for his passing. Casemiro isn't rated for that either, Ndidi is doing well. Jorginho has the passing ability but I'd take kante any day any time. I hope you get what I am saying?

I have checked his stats for the season and compared it with Collin's. He is no where better than Collins... They are both poor crossers of the ball though, but for some other stats, Collins is better than him...

I don't see the point of inviting him if he can't offer something much better than Collins...

Exactly my point.

Knowing Rohr, if we don't get anybody better, Collins will keep getting invites

You're right about this but you see....I have discovered that football is a game where your foundational understanding of it affects the way you play when you're a pro.

Many Africans (including Nigerians) grew up playing on the streets where all they learnt came by trial and error. There was/is hardly any curriculum and program for proper grounding in the basic techniques of football. That's why you see African teams hardly scoring from corners, free kicks and other dead ball situations...only those players with the privilege of going through the program at an Academy MAY have the opportunity to learn these things.

I will also like to add that only those African players truly hungry for self improvement also grow to become good at these things. Sadly, when many land in Europe, they feel they have arrived and don't need to improve again.

My 2 cents. Feel free to critic constructively

You are right...

Africa isn't known for producing technically sound players.. Good goalscorers, yes, defenders, yes, rugged midfielders,yes... But technically sound players, that's not very common..

It's time African countries put more efforts into developing grassroot football such that our young talents won't have to run to obscure leagues in Europe and Asia because they want to earn a few thousand dollars...

"Competitive" in English football can also include finances...
There are more than 10 clubs in the EPL that can spend up to £100m in one transfer market.. and they don't depend on selling their players to raise money like it's done in some leagues..

so what makes the epl most competitive is due to how much each club can spend and not what they can do when they meet other competitors outside their domain nor the quality of football they play?

how on earth can a league with just 5 winners in 20 years be the most competitive?

a league you can 90 percent predict the first top 3 almost accurately?

this world is truly run by money and the media!

You are joking..

Can you swear that you could have predicted that Leicester would in the top4 this season or that Arsenal would be outside the top10?

While the EPL has produced 5 winners in the last 20 years, laliga has produced 4. More than half of which have been won by one club...

You can stake your entire life savings that Barca and Madrid will make the top 4 in la liga next season, but can you do the same for the EPL?

yes I can predict top 3 in the epl next season and the next

let me do it now

liverpool
man city
man united

leceister won just once from no where is news? check that of the la liga too

also 5 there too

these so called top 5 leagues are not the definition of competitive to me!

the league is between 20 clubs not 5 or even 10

I can stake even my unearned income on liverpool and man city making top 4

this is very easy to do!

You are looking at football from one perspective the Spanish style of football. Things have moved on you are being too nostalgic.

A style that sees only two teams dominate in thier league consistently. But two teams with the best 2 players in the world.

Take out Messi from Barcelona and l tell you they will not have the same over riding dominance. Look at Real M.since Ronaldo left and they are not the same.

Most top quality teams are not entirely reliant on just one player.

Now to mitigate against the technical possession game of Barcelona. You simply bring in pace, more physicality and go more direct. And don't worry about possession.

Chelsea did it with Drogba.

Football has moved on and spending time on the ball with possession only is no longer the killer tactic. Pep has evolved the system with what he has done at Bayern and Man city.

Liverpool did it and gave Barcelona a football lesson with a crazy defeat right in thier backyard.

If it worked Carzola would still be in Arsenal but he has dropped to insignificance in Villareal.

The system also requires that everyone plays the same way.

Look at Seria A and see what the combination of speed, technical ability with physicality has done for Lukaku at Inter. Although for me irrespective of the league Lukaku is a proven tested World class striker.

Paul Scholes would not find it easy now the game has changed. Midfielder are box to box and they score goals.

Even with that you are still very wrong and not being balanced with regards to English players. Let's look at the current young English midfielder who are killing it.

Mason Mount, Maddison, Winks, Grealish, Ruben Loftus, Barkley, Bamidele Alli, Todd Cantwell, etc to name just a few. These players will walk into any top club in Europe.

So again you seem to be out of touch with times the game has changed. Look at Liverpool where the Wing backs are recording more assists and even goals than top midfielders in the top leagues.

You need to drink the new wine, you are still drinking old Wine.

De Bruyne does not waist time doing skills and never ending possession football. But is arguably the best attacking midfielder in the world, look at his END PRODUCT assists and goals.

You always try to downplay the dominance of Barcelona and Real Madrid to the weakness of the league.

Let me remind you.

Manchester United won the English Premier league, three times in a row but when they met Barcelona in the Champions league final twice, Barcelona mopped the floor with Manchester United twice.

If that Barcelona team was in the EPL, they would have dominated the league hands down.

If Real Madrid and Barcelona were in the EPL, they would have dominated for years. It is the gulf in class of their teams.

Bilbao met Manchester United under Alex Ferguson in the Europa League and beat the top team in England home and away.

You are over rating the EPL because they are exempted from having high grade teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid in the league. Not a sign of strength but the quality the Spanish teams have to deal with.

I think Liefering is a feeder club of RB Salzburg, when they get a youth player he will start from Liefering before moving to RB Salzburg, after that if he is really good he can move to RB Liebzig another club owned by the Red Bull Company.
I think that might be the pathway of Tijani, but I just hope he starts from RB Salzburg, instead of their feeder club

Put your money where your mouth is .

Go and wager a bet that Man City, Liverpool and Man Utd will make the top 3 next season..

Laliga's too 3 is as clear as daylight already.

And technically, the EPL has 6 winners in the 20 years (Liverpool joins the train ) , la liga has 4 ...
